      • 지각된 사회적 지지와 자기 효능감 간의 관련성에 대한 문헌 연구

        이 연구는 사회적 지지와 자기 효능감에 대한 선행연구를 살펴보고 이들간의 관계를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 사회적 지지는 적응과정에서 중요한 변인으로 다루어지고 있다. 최근에 와서 지각된 사회적 지지가 객관적 사회적 지지보다 개인의 적응을 예언할 수 있는 힘이 더 크다는 것을 많은 연구들에서 보여주고 있다. 또한 사회적지지 변인에 대한 측정노력이 이루어지고 있다. 자기 효능감은 개인의 수행을 예측하는데 중요한 변인으로 사용되고 있다. 과거에는 특정 과제에 따라 효능감이 측정되고 이것이 개인의 수행을 예측하는데 사용될 수 있을 것이라 하였다. 그러나 최근 일반적 자기 효능감을 측정하고 이를 개인의 전반적 수행과 관련지으려는 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 이러한 연구들을 통하여 두 변인간의 관련성이 논의되었다. The purpose of this study was to review the prior research of social support and self-efficacy, and find relationship between two variables. Social support was treated as important variable in adaptation process. Recently, a lot of studies show that perceived social support was more predictive power to predict personal adaptation than objective social support. Also, measure of perceived social support was performed. Self-efficacy was used important variable to predict individual performance. In the past, self-efficacy was measured with specific task and this measurement was used to predict individual' s general performance. But nowadays, there are many researches to measure general self-efficacy and use this measurement to predict general individual performance. Through above review of literatures relationship between two variables was discussed.

        Investigating Quality Criteria Employed in Evaluating Korean-to-English Interpreting Performances

        This paper uses SEM to construct an evaluation model for Korean-to-English interpreting as a means to answer the following research questions: first, what types of criteria are employed in evaluating Korean-to-English interpreting performances; second, how much of an impact does each group of criteria have on the total score; and third, are the same criteria used to assess all students, or are different criteria employed for different student groups? The results revealed that content-related and delivery-related criteria were employed during the evaluation process. Furthermore, the study found that evaluators used content-related, form-related, and delivery-related criteria in assessing students in the high performance group; contrastingly, evaluators only employed content-related criteria in assessing students in the low performance groups. Further analysis of ICCs suggest that evaluators find it more difficult to score form-related criteria when assessing students with lower performance scores compared to those with relatively higher performance scores.

        한국의 군사통역 품질평가에 대한 고찰 : 통역장교의 평가 결과물 보고

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the interpreting quality criteria of Korea’s interpreting officers. Firstly, the study surveys 11 interpreting officers in the Korean military to examine which quality criteria are deemed important by the officers. Next, the officers are asked to evaluate recorded videos of interpreting -officer trainees working both from Korean to English and from English to Korean. Finally, the study uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) to analyze the interpreting officers’ evaluation of the trainees. The results of the evaluation are then compared with the expectations survey results. Over the years, expectation surveys have shown that professional interpreters regard “content-related” criteria more important than “form-related” or “delivery-related” criteria. Results of this study’s expectation survey are consistent with previous research results: interpreting officers also regard content-related criteria as the most important criteria. However, actual evaluation results show with statistical significance that form-related criteria have higher impact on the total score than any other criteria regardless of interpreting directions. Additionally, the study suggests that delivery-related criteria such as “pleasant voice” and “native accent” have negligible impact on the overall performance score.

      • 지각된 사회적 지지와 대학생의 자기 효능감 간의 관계

        이 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 지각된 사회적 지지가 각 지지원 별로 그리고 각 지지원에서 지지 유형별로 자기 효능감과 관련성이 있는지를 알아보기 위한 두 가지 목적을 가지고 있다. 이 목적을 위하여 대학생 279명에게 자신이 지각하고 있는 사회적 지지를 응답하게 하고, 자기 효능감도 측정하였다. 연구의 결과 아버지의 지지와 친구/애인의 지지가 일반적 자기 효능감을 예측하는데 유용한 변인임이 밝혀졌으며. 사회적 자기 효능감을 예측하는데 유용한 변인은 친구/애인의 지지임이 확인되었다. 또한 각 지지원 별로 어떠한 지지 유형이 자기 효능감과 관련성이 있는지 역시 논의되었다. This study has two purposes. Firstly, we investigate the relationship between sources of social support and self-efficacy. Secondly we also investigate the relationship between types of social support and self-efficacy. the social support and general self-efficacy scale were put questionnaires to 297 college students. The social support scale consists of five, and self-efficacy scale consists of two sub-scales. Results indicated that college students' perceived social support (father's and friend/lover's support) has a statistical significance to predict general self-efficacy. But the social self-efficacy is related with friend/lover's and brother/sister's social support. Relationship with social support types and self-efficacy were also discussed.

        청중의 통역품질 평가에 대한 고찰

        Many studies have found that regardless of who the evaluator is― interpreter or the service user―content-related criteria are deemed the most important in assessing interpreting quality. However, it must be noted that service users, in most cases, do not understand the source language. Naturally, this means that service users are in a disadvantageous position to evaluate the content-related quality of interpreting as they cannot compare the contents of the target text against the source text. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the service user evaluates the content-related quality of interpreting without having access to the source text. Through the use of structural equation modeling, this study shows that service users depend on the form-related criteria and not on the delivery-related criteria to guess how well the original message was delivered content-wise. Furthermore, it is found that when the interpreter fails to maintain a constant rate of speech, the service users regard it as a sign of drop in sense consistency.

        한영 소설 제목의 시대별․번역사별 번역 전략 양상 연구

        This study analyzes 499 book titles that were translated from Korean into English and compares the translation strategies from the 1960s to the 2010s. For this purpose, the study defines and uses five translation strategies as follows: transliteration; literal translation; adaptation; rewriting; and combination. With these five strategies, the study found that despite the many policies to boost sales of Korean literary work overseas and favorable phenomenons such as the Korean wave, there has not been much change in translation strategies in Korean-to-English title translation for nearly 60 years. Of the 499 book titles, literal translation accounted for 59.5 percent. It was also found that throughout the years, there have been statistically significant changes in the types of people translating books from Korean to English. Up until the 1990s, Korean translators accounted for most of the Korean-to-English translations. However, from the 2000s, foreign translators have become the majority translators in Korean-to-English book translations in Korea. Lastly, it was found that regardless of translator type, same strategies are favored in Korean-to-English book title translation.

        전문 통번역사의 통역품질 평가 연구 : 인식도 조사와 평가수행 결과를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the results of survey on interpreters' expectations match the interpreters' evaluation of a given interpreting performance. Many expectation surveys on interpreting quality criteria have shown that interpreters and users alike regard the content-related group more important than the form-related group and the delivery-related group. However, to see whether these criteria ratings hold true in real-world evaluations, we need to have interpreters or users evaluate actual interpreting performances and examine the effect of individual quality items on the overall performance scores. Results of the expectation survey showed that the content-related group was deemed more important than the form-related and the delivery-related groups, which is consistent with previous studies. Results of the interpreter's evaluations on English-to-Korean interpretations showed that the content-related group had the largest effect on the total score, followed by the form-related group and the delivery-related group. In contrast, results of the interpreter's evaluations on Korean-to-English interpretations showed that the form-related group had the largest effect on the total score, followed by the content-related group and the delivery-related group
