A large portion of the energy cost of a building is cooling and heating to maintain a comfortable indoor environment. Air conditioning is now one of the important parts in the building design, as increase in energy consumption and pollutant emission in energy conversion process. In this study, elements that affects the energy consumption of model building are identified and the perfomance analysis of the alternative a Low Energy Cooling Systems considering characteristics of model building and energy saving performance is analyzed. In this study, elements that affect the energy consumption of office building are identified and energy saving performance of the alternative air conditioning system is analyzed. As a result, applied to earn and suggest basic data for energy saving measures. In this study, Energy Plus simulation program was used to evaluate the energy load when alternative Low Energy Cooling Systems are applied to the model building. The reliability of simulation program is verified by comparing actual energy load from operation data of building management office and predicted energy load using simulation program. For Low Energy Cooling System application which considers the purpose and characteristics of the building, reasonable and energy-saving air conditioning method obtained by analyzing energyc onsumption elements for each expected air conditioning methods is used to deduct result of this study.

As the utilization of air conditioning system by EHP is increasing in these days as the heat source of small office buildings, it should be considered to strengthen thermal performance up to double-layered Low-E or triple layered Low-E glass at planning window system for energy saving. Also the consideration of U-value and G-value as the thermal characteristics of office building must be emphasized on the optimized choice of window. In this study, utilizing ECO2-energy efficiency appraisal program, we suggest the optimized window system of small office building with EHP system, considering the initial cost and energy cost of each window system including thermal performance. Furthermore, during the economic estimation, we suggest the design guideline of passive energy saving techniques for the skin of small office building.

This study aims to present the energy efficiency of Zero Energy Building with PV, solar heat energy system by using RETScreen. The results are as follows; First, Zero Energy Building is consist of four factors. Passive factor(insulations, lighting facilities), Efficiency factor(high efficiency appliances), Eco factor(green technologies like rainwater reuse), Active factor(utilization of renewable energy). Senond, case study shows that an advanced countries like America, Germany have introduced the Zero Energy Building in variety of structures. On the other side, it is shown that the Zero Energy Building is not common in countries of Asia. Third, the analysis results of the Zero Energy Building technical factors in Korea and foreign country are as follows; we analyzed foreign and domestic technical factor and found that foreign cases applied large portion of active factor and small portion of eco factor. On the contrary to this case, domestic cases mainly applied passive factor and treated the introduction of the active factor as a trial factor. Fourth, energy efficiency evaluation results show that energy efficiency of 8.7% with PV, 6% with solar heat energy was deduced. And if value of variables are changed, the energy efficiency seems be more higher. Finally, Zero Energy Building is uncommon in Korea, it will be an ideal concept with goverment's investments on green building and development of renewable energy.
