Korean species of the genus Coptodera Dejean (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Lebiinae)

A truncatipennes-group species, Coptodera japonica Bates, is newly recorded from Korea. Here we provide a diagnosis and systematic accounts of C. japonica Bates and a key to the species of Korean Coptodera.
Carabidae from Vietnam (Coleoptera)

Members of the Vietnamese carabid fauna are arranged and nomenclaturally revised. As the result, 178 species belonging to 74 genera of 12 subfamilies, Brachininae, Omophroninae, Carabinae, Scaritinae, Bembidiinae, Trechinae, Pterostichinae, Harpalinae, Callistinae, Oodinae, Odacanthinae, and Lebiinae, are recorded from Vietnam. Within these, four species, Abacetus leucocetes Bates, 1873, Agonom (Metacolpodes) buchanani Hope, 1831, Stenolopus (Egadroma) difficilis (Hope, 1845), and Pheropsophus (Stenaptinus) beckeri Jedlicka, 1930 are newly recorded. A species checklist with taxonomic information, type localities and worldwide distribution are provided.

The purpose of this paper is to pay attention to that Korean christianity had an immanent spirits of social ethic originally and to reflect the reason why we have lost the radical legacy. In such case, it is believed that we could recover our credences in korean society and be capable of realizing the mission of transforming the world globalized by the capital depending on the view of God`s will. On the basis of such a purpose, firstly, this researcher insists that korean church criticize its own faults and crimes which it did in our history during the time colonialized by Japan and ruled by some korean dictators, including theological and sociological ignorance. Secondly, we try to pursue the construction of christian ethic for civil society, depending on Walzer`s the concept of ``complex equality``. In formal terms, complex equality means that no citizen`s standing in one sphere or with regard to one social good can be undercut by his standing in some other sphere, with regard to some other good. Thus, citizen A may be chosen over citizen B for political office, and then the two of them will be unequal in the sphere of politics. But they will not be unequal generally so long as A`s office gives him no advantage over B in any other sphere. To achieve a situation of complex equality, Walzer proposes a system of blocked exchanges: it should be avoided that goods obtained in one sphere are exchanged to obtain goods in another sphere. For instance, the money person has acquired in the economic sphere should not be used to ``buy`` power and influence in the political sphere. This system of complex equality will lead to a more egalitarian distribution of social goods. Maybe in each sphere distinct inequalities will persist, but given the plurality of spheres, eventually every person will acquire goods in one sphere or another. This line of reasoning reminds us to some extent of constructing ethic and realizing justice for civil society. Finally, we suggest the missions of responsibility for civil society, both locally and globally.

본 조사에서는 대구광역시 녹지공원의 공원별 곤충의 출현정도를 알아보았고, 식생의 차이에 따른 곤충 발생 현황에 대하여 조사 하였다. 그 결과 종합적으로 9목 61과 93속 100종의 곤충이 조사되었고, 종 다양도는 연암공원이 35과 61종으로 가장 높은 다양성을 보였고, 봉무공원이 31과 43종, 범어공원이 29과 41종, 두류공원이 28과 35종, 국채보상운동공원은 2과 2종 순으로 나타났다. 대부분 활엽수림이 식재되어 있는 조사지에서 곤충 분포가 균일하였으며, 침엽수, 활엽수 혼효림에서는 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 공원 내 잔디지역에서의 곤충 다양도는 매우 낮게 나타났다. This study was conducted to know the insect fauna on the 5 green Parks areas of Daegu Metropolitan city. Materials were collected by net sweeping and pitfall trap of cup. As the result, 100 species of 93 genera belonging to 61 families in 9 orders were surveyed, among them, Yeonam Park showed highest insect occurrence as 61 species belonging to 35 families of 8 orders. The other side, lowest site was Gukchae-Bosang memorial Park as 2 species from 2 orders. There was more species in broad-leaf tree area than mixture area of broadleaf and needle-leaf trees. Turf grass areas in the Parks showed low insect diversities.
