      • 녹농균의 항균제 내성양상 및 Rifampin과 Quinolone제와의 병합효과

        Clinically isolated 92 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were serotyped and their resistance patterns to total 24 kinds of antimicrobial agents (i.e., Penicillins, aminoglycosides, cephalosporins, quinolones) were studied by MIC(minimal inhibitory concentration). In addition, serotype G(16 strains) and E(16 strains), which isolated with high frequency in clinical field, were used for a study about combined effects of quinolones and rifampin by the checkerboard method. These drugs are being spotlighted as therapeutics of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections. The results were as follows; Serotypable strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were 87 strains(94.6%) out of 92 strains clinically isolated. In these strains, G types were isolated in largest numbers(28 strains, 30.4%), E types were 25 strains (27.2%), B types 12 strains (13.0%), the other types were less than 7% and J,K,N types were not typed at all. In the MIC peak of each antibiotics, ciprofloxacin showed lowest peak as 0.25㎍/㎖, another third generation quinolones also showed low MIC peaks of 8㎍/㎖ and less. Amikacin, the aminoglycosides, and rifampin revealed MIC as low as 32㎍/㎖ relatively, but the others did not. MIC of gentamicin, tobramycin, nalidixic acid, rifampin, piperacillin and amikacin were distributed in a wide range of 0.5㎍/㎖ to >512㎍/㎖, but in MIC_(50) of all above antibiotics were 256㎍/㎖ or more, and MIC_(90) were above 512㎍/㎖, the third generation quinolones except rosoxacin showed very low MIC ranges less than 64㎍/㎖, and revealed good antimicrobial activities as seen in that MIC_(50) were less than 2㎍/㎖ and MIC_(90) were below 8㎍/㎖. On seeing MIC ranges according to serotypes, in most antibiotics, E types were slightly resistant than G types but there are no much differences. In combinations of rifampin and quinolones, rifampin-enoxacin combination revealed relatively as good synergistic effect as 37.5%(12 strains), rifampin-nalidixic acid showed 34.4%(11 strains), and the other combinations also showed good results comparatively. In addition, rifampin-ciprofloxacin had antagonistic effect of 31.3%(10 strains). But on the whole, it can be said that these combinations have much affirmative significance in antibiotic therapy to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to the serotypes, synergism of rifampin-nalidixic acid to G types was zero%(0 strain) and 31.3%(5 strains) to E types. All combinations except rifampin-nalidixic acid revealed high synergistic effects to E types and in proportion to this, antagonistic effects were low. This high synergistic effects to E types were in a contrast to slightly high resistance patterns of E types.

      • Membrane Filter Technique Method에 의한 Pseudomonas aeruginosa의 검출

        자연과 병원환경에서 Pseudomonas areuginosa의 분포를 알아보기 위하여 최근 P. aeruginosa 검출에 가장 좋은 방법으로 알려진 mPA-C medium을 이용한 M.F.T.M으로 균을 분리하였다. 분리된 균주에서 205균주를 대상으로 면역학적인 혈청형벌 검사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. P.P.T.M과 M.F.T.M의 회수율을 비교하여 보면, M.F.T.M의 회수율은 95.3%였다. 2. 자연환경에서 P. aeruginosa는 강, 수영장, 목욕탕에 넓게 분포되어 있었으며, 빗물, 지하수, 수도물에서는 검출되지 않았다. 3. 병원환경에서 P. aeruginosa는 중환자실에서 사용하는 가습기에 주로 분포되어 있었으며, 병실 가습기에서도 분리되었다. 그러나 O_2 air bubbler에서는 거의 검출되지 않았고, 신생아실 incubator에서는 분리되지 않았다. 4. 분리된 P. aeruginosa의 면역학적인 혈청형별 분포를 보면 A,B,D,E,G,H,I형이 자연환경에서 분리되었고, 그 중 A형이 36.3%로 가장 높았다. 병원환경에서는 B,C,E,G,I형이 분리되었고 중환자실 가습기에서 분리된 60균주는 I형이 이었다. In natural and hospital environment, a modified mPA medium, designated mPA-C, was shown to recover Pseudomonas aeruginosa from a variety of natural and hospital water sources using membrane filter technique method. Isolated 205 strains of P.aerruginosa were performed serological typing by agglutination test. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Comparing pour p1ate technique and membrane filter technique method, recovery rate of membrane filter technique was 95.3%. 2. In natural sampling, P.aerginosa was isolated from river, public bath and swimming pool but not examined at rain, tap water and underground water. 3. In hospital sampling, humidifier of I.C.U. and wards was predominant in distribution of P.aeruginoso but not isolated from O_2 air bubbler and incubator. 4. In sero1ogical types of P.aerugimosa, A,B,D,E,F,G,H,I types were identified in natural samples and A type of them was predominant (36.3%). B,C,E,G,I types were identified in hospital samples and 60 strains of I type were isolated from humidifier of I.C.U.

      • 광전도성 N-알킬카르바졸 폴리머의 합성에 관한 연구

        The N­alkylcarbazole polymers were synthesized by cationic polymerization. These polymerizations were reacted under different condition for 3hrs or 24 hrs. These reactions between N­unsaturatedalkylcarbazole monomers and boron trifluoride diethyl etherate(BF_3ㆍEt_2O) were conducted in toluene at ice water bath under N_2 atmosphere or in benzene at room temperature under vacuum atmosphere. At htis time the starting materials were monomer 1.0g and initiator 1.42㎎, respectively. All of these compounds of substrates and products were characterized by melting point. FT­IR and ^1H­NMR spectroscopy.

      • 전남 해안지방에서 분리된 Vibrio Spp.에 관한 조사

        공중보건학상 문제가 되고 있는 vibrio spp.의 분리를 위하여 전남 일원의 8개 시ㆍ군의 해안 지역 24개 지점을 대상으로 어패류, 해수 등에서 160시료를 수집하여 실험한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 총 160시료 중 V. parahaemolyticus는 18시료(11.3%), V. vulnificus는 8시료(5%)에서 분리되었다. 2. 지역별로는 V. parahaemolyticus는 목포(5시료), 함평, 완도(4시료), 영광(3시료), 여수, 보성(1시료)에서 분리되었고, V. vulnificus는 목포, 함평(3시료), 고흥, 완도(1시료)에서 분리되었다. 3. 시료별 vibrio spp. 분리율은 어류가 V. parahaemolyticus 11시료, V. vulnificus 3시료, 패류가 V. parahaemolyticus 6시료, V. vulnificus 4시료, 해수가 V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus 각각 1시료씩 분리되어 어류, 패류, 해수 순이었다. 4. 월별로는 V. parahaemolyticus와 V. vulnificus 모두 6월∼8월 사이에 분리되었고 8월에 가장 높게 분리되었다. A survey on the distribution and characteristics of vibrio spp. at coast districts in chunnam was carried out in 1986. 160 samples from fish, shellfish, and sea water were collected and studied for the rate of isolation of vibrio spp. and properties. The results were as follows; 1. 18(11.3%) cases of V. parahaemolyticus and 8(5%) cases of V. vulnificus were isolated and identified from 160 samples. 2. 5 cases of V. parahaemolyticus in Mokpo, 4 cases in Hampyong and Wando respectively, 3 cases in Younggwang, eachcase in Ryosoo and Bosung were isolated. V. vulnificus were isolated 3 cases in Mokpo and Hampyong, each 1 cases in Goheung and Wando. 3. 11 cases of V. parahaemolyticus from fish, G cases from shellfish and 1 case from seawater, and 3cases of V. vulnificus from fish, 4: cases from shell fish and 1 case from sea water were isolated. 4. V. parahaemolyticus and V. vunificus 'were isolated from june to August.

      • Pseudomonas aeruginosa의 항생제내성에 관하여

        In order to study the MIC distribution and serotypes of p. aerugmosa, 112 strains isolated from two general hospital in kwangju city were tester). The following results were obtained. 1. Among 112 strains of p. aeruginosa isolated, 107 strains(95.5%) were typable. serotype E(30.4%) and G(30.4%) were most prevalent followed by B(11.6%), serotype A(7.1%) and serotype F, I(1.8%) among 107 typable strains. 2. According to test of MIC distribution on 17 antibiotics against p. aeruginosa. aminoglycosides were 0. 5~>512mcg/㎖, MIC peak in AK 32mcg/㎖ and other antimicrobial agents were > 512mcg/㎖. penicillins were 4~>512mcg/㎖, MIC peak in pi 256mcg/㎖ and other antimicrobial agents were >512mcg/㎖. Cephalosporines were 8~>512mcg/㎖, MIC peak in CP 64mcg/㎖ and other antimicrobial agents were>512mcg/㎖. 3. Among those antimicrobial agents, amikacin and rifampin showed good antimicrobial activity. 4. All of drug-resistant p. aeruginosa strains were multiply resistant to nine or more drugs. 35 strains were resistant to 17 drugs, follwed by 21 strains resistant to 15 drugs, 9 strains resistant to 14 drugs. 5. Out of 9~17 drugs, E. and G serotypes were 34 strains, out of 9~17 drugs, B sero-type were 13 strains, out of 13~]7 drugs, A serotype were 8 strains.

      • Nocardia Otitidiscaviarum에 의한 피하농양 1예

        A 61-year-old-Korean woman suffering from hypopituitarism accompanied by thyroid insufficiency, adrenal insufficiency, Diabetes mellitus was examined for subcutaneous abscess on her left inner thigh. The causative organism was identified as Nocardia otitidiscaviarum. To our knowledge, the present case in the first known Korean case of primary cutaneous nocardiosis caused by Nocardia otitidiscaviarum.
