LCD 컬러필터에 이용되는 색소는 현재 제조공법에서는 대부분 용해도가 좋지 않은 안료를 사용하며, 밀링공정을 통해 입자크기를 미세화, 균질화하여 사용하고 있으나 안료는 근본적으로 색상이 어둡고 빛의 산란에 의하여 명암비(Contrast ratio)가 떨어지는 큰 단점을 가지고 있어 이를 개선함으로서 해상도, 선명성 등을 개선하고자 하는 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구는 안료의 근본적 단점을 개선하여 내구성 및 용해성이 우수한 LCD 컬러필터용 염료를 합성함으로서 칼라필터에 적용 시 밝은 색상, 투명성 및 고명암비를 얻고자 하는데 본 연구의 목적이다.
The Synthesis and Visible Absorption Properties of Squaryliums

The near-infrared, i.e. beyond about 700 nm, have been a increase in interest in recent years. In past time they are understandable, since light absorption beyond 750 nm is undetectable by the eye and makes no contribution to the observed colour. However now such dyes find use in high technology application, i.e. lasers, laser addressed liquid crystal display, optical data storage, optical filters and many other electro-optical application. Particularly, the squarylium compounds based on donor-acceptor chromophores were investigated and the visible absorption spectroscopic properties of the various squaryliums were examined for the near-infrared region. Also, our results show that squaryliums colud be possible to be producing near-infrared absorbing materials with a view to investigate colour and their constitution relationships which show narrower, more intense bands than other materials, especially, methine dyes such as azo and azamethine typed compounds in visible absorption regions.
Syntheses of Symmetric Hetero typed Squarylium Dyes

The many squaryliums of organic class have received a great deal of attention in recent years due to the potential applications of these materials in many fields such as electrophotographic processes, photovoltaic cells and in diode-laser optical storage recording system. Therefore, by suitable choice of terminal amino residues in the 1,3-squaryliums it is possible to displace the absorption band into the near-infrared regions. In this section, the visible absorption properties of the heterocyclic squaryliums were studied and their colour change phenomena were considered. As a these results it was designed that heterocyclic squarylium dyes could be probably suitable indicators for both titrimetric and colourimetric purposes. Interestingly, Some squarylium dyes are used for semi-permanent hair dyes due to low molecule weight, soluble in water and high affinity on hair with polar structure.
Colour Change Redox Behaviour of the 1,3-Squaraine Dyes

The 1,3-bis(4-aminoaryl)squaraines showed colour change behaviour, they were found to undergo reduction with sodium borohydride in solution to give colourless leuco compounds, which oxidised readily in air back to the coloured squaraine dye.We have investigated this possibility, and have found that reduction can, in most cases, be achieved readily in organic solvents with sodium borohydride, and moreover, the resultant colourless reduced species (leuco dyes) are generally chemically stable and can be oxidised back to the coloured dye with air or common inorganic oxidants. This meant that the 1,3-squaraines could be used as redox indicators, with possible functional applications in enzyme assays, oxygen detection, or reprographic systems, and thus the chemistry of the leuco-1,3-squaraines was investigated in detail in order to determines their potential value in such areas.

Railway is compsed in various components, such as subgrade, track bed, sleeper, rail, and overhead line, on a linear space. Therefore, comprehensive work for various design standards and guidelines is required when designing a railway facility. For this reason, much time and effort are required to review the relevant design standards and guidelines. While, automatic legal check system for BIM models has been developed in the architectural engineering, it has not been developed in the railway engineering. This study reviews the korean design standard and the korean code for railway engineering, and suggests some rule items of logical information. Comparing the suggested rule items to the railway BIM library, items of logical information and additional attribute information are obtained. The analysis results of railway design standards and BIM library presented in this study would be utilized for defining rule-set items that is essential for development of the automatic legal check system for railway BIM models.
