The main purpose of this study was to explore the variables predicting mothers' parenting attitudes in Korean-Japanese multi-cultural families in comparison to Korean families. Differences in parental beliefs, life-satisfaction and parenting attitudes between these two groups were also examined. Data were collected via questionnaires from 110 Japanese and 168 Korean mothers of young children. Results revealed that mothers' beliefs on value of child and parental role, life-satisfaction and parenting attitudes were different across the families. Costed-concept of child and low life-satisfaction predicted 'shaming' and 'coercive' parenting for Japanese mothers whereas parental role beliefs as an 'authority' figure predicted 'shaming' parenting for Korean mothers. Life-satisfaction was most influential to predict 'affectionate-rational' parenting for both group.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of Chuna treatment on neck pain caused by traffic accidents. Methods : The 10 patients were divided into 2 groups, with Group A treated with Acupuncture and Chuna, while group B was treated with Acupuncture only. We measured the Visual Analog Scale(VAS), Pain Disability Index(PDI) and Pressure Pain Thresholds before and after treatment in each group. The statistical analysis was performed by using a Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results : 1. Group A showed significant improvements in VAS, PDI and Pressure Pain Thresholds(p<0.05). 2. Group B was significantly improved in VAS(p<0.05). However, there was no statistical significance in PDI and Pressure Pain Thresholds(p>0.05). 3. There was no statistical significance between Group A and Group B before and after treatment. Conclusions : These results imply that Chuna treatment with Acupuncture would beeffective and useful on the neck pain caused by traffic accidents.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of rope-skipping exercise on body composition and basic physical fitness in healthy subjects: a randomized control trial. Method : Twenty two subjects were randomly allocated to two groups: rope-skipping group (n=11) and control group (n=11). The rope-skipping group participated in rope-skipping exercise for 30 minutes a day, three days a week for four weeks. Body composition was measured using the subjects' weight, body mass index (BMI), and waistline. Basic Physical fitness was measured flexibility and agility. Result : The rope-skipping showed significant differences in waistline and agility. The control group showed no significant differences. There were significant difference in agility between the rope-skipping and the control group. Conclusion : The rope-skipping exercise increased waistline and agility in healthy subjects. Additional research on rope-skipping exercise for improving body composition and basic physical fitness is need.
정안침요법(整顔鍼療法)을 응용하여 호전된 후천성 사경환자 치험 2례

Objectives : This report intended to estimate effects of Jung-an acupuncture on the acquired torticollis caused by muscle contraction. Methods : The patients were treated by Jung-an acupuncture, herb medication and Physical treatment daily. The improvement of the patients was judged by Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale(TWSTRS), Tsui's score and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After 7 days of treatment, the 2 patients' neck pain and cervical movement were improved. Also, TWSTRS score, Tsui's score and VAS were all reduced. Conclusions : As the Jung-an acupuncture's theological base is organized with meridian theory and myofacial release therapy, We considered the Jung-an acupuncture is effective not only for the skin disease but also for the muscle problem such as torticollis.

본 논문은 제품의 유통 과정에서 QR코드를 활용하여 유통 이력을 블록체인에 저장하고 사용자 등록을 지원하여 정품 인증을 용이하게 하는 솔루션을 제안한다. 위변조가 불가능한 하이퍼레저 패브릭 블록체인을 유통 시스템에 적용하여 사용자는 유통 정보를 신뢰할 수 있다. 온라인으로 구매한 제품에 대해서도 앱을 통해 사용자 등록이 가능하며, 중고 거래를 지원하기 위해 등록된 제품의 사용자를 변경할 수 있다. 제조업체 관리자는 웹을 통해 제품의 QR코드를 생성하고 관리할 수 있으며, 사용자는 시리얼 넘버를 검색하여 제품의 정보와 등록된 사용자를 확인할 수 있다.
Bryostatin-1에 의한 Wnt/β-Catenin 신호전달체계 저해효과

Wnt/β-catenin 신호전달체계는 세포 증식, 분화, 그리고 기관 발생과 같은 다양한 생명현상에 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 세포기반 스크리닝 기법을 사용하여 Wnt/β-catenin 신호전달체계를 저해하는 bryostatin-1을 발굴하였다. Bryostain 1은 β-catenin의 mRNA 수준에는 영향을 미치지 않는 반면 세포 내 β-catenin 단백질 수준을 감소시킴으로 Wnt3a-CM에 의해 활성화 된 β-catenin response transcription (CRT)을 억제하였다. 또한 프로테아좀의 활성을 저해하였을 경우 bryostatin-1에 의한 β-catenin 수준 감소가 억제되었다. 본 연구의 결과들로부터 bryostatin-1이 프로테아좀에 의한 β-catenin 단백질 분해를 촉진함으로써 Wnt/β-catenin 신호전달체계를 저해함을 확인하였다. The Wnt/β-catenin pathway plays important roles in a variety of biological processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and organ development. Here, we used a cell-based reporter assay to identify bryostatin-1, a natural macrocyclic lactone, as an inhibitor of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Bryostatin-1 suppressed β-catenin response transcription (CRT), which was activated by a Wnt3a-conditioned medium (Wnt3a-CM), through a decrease in the intracellular β-catenin protein levels, without affecting its mRNA level. In addition, pharmacological inhibition of proteasome abrogated bryostatin-1-mediated down-regulation of the β-catenin protein level. Our findings suggest that bryostatin-1 attenuates the Wnt/β-catenin pathway through the promotion of proteasomal degradation of β-catenin.
인간과 기계가 공존하는 춤 작품의 양가적(兩價的) 의미 탐색: 인형에서 로봇으로 변천사를 중심으로

This study aims to understand the dance work in which humans and machines coexist within the historical context of creating automata, moving dolls. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore the two-sided meaning of such dance works by paying attention to how dolls and robots, digital sensors, and artificial intelligence coexist with humans as self-moving machines. In this study, I analyzed concrete works by dividing them into three types of coexistence: dolls, robots, and bodies directly combined with machines. As a result of this study, first, interest in moving dolls was shown to express ‘mixed identity’ through the dancer’s body that reproduces the movements of imaginary dolls in dance. Second, the appearance of actual robots was realized in the direction of pursuing mutual emotional communication by resembling human ‘inside’ rather than creating human- like outside in dance. Third, the body directly connected to the machine changes not only the appearance but also the innate ability of the body to have ‘ambivalent emotions’ of fear and curiosity. In all three modes of coexistence examined in this study, post-humanism and human communication methods interact with each other with different faces. In the end, it was found that in the dance work in which humans and machines coexist, both sides were presented in harmony with the post-humanistic elements that give interesting, fun, and unfamiliar shock in numerous ways, and the human elements where our daily imagination and emotions meet.
한국인 안드로젠 저항성 증후군 환자의 안드로젠 수용체 유전자 변이 양상

N/A Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a X-linked disorder of sexual differentiation resulting from defective androgen receptor (AR) function. Androgens are secreted by the testes of 46,XY individuals, but there is loss of target organ response to the hormone. The abnormalities of AR are due to defects in the AR gene, and many mutations causing AIS have been reported since the cloning of AR gene. In this study, we analyzed the AR genes in twelve Korean patients with androgen insensitivity syndrome: 9 patients with complete AIS and 3 patients with partial AIS. DNAs were isolated from patients with AIS, and the coding region of AR gene was amplified by a polymerase chain reaction using 7 pairs of primers (exon B-H). Sequence analysis of the AR gene was performed using direct sequencing and single strand conformational polymorphism (SSCP). The AR gene mutations were identified in 7 out of 12 patients: 6 of 9 patients with complete AIS, and one of 3 patients with partial AIS. Mutations found were as follows: the point mutation (ATT→ACT) at position 680 of exon D, point mutation (TGG→TGC) at position 751 of exon E, point mutation (CAA→TAA) at position 792 of exon F, point mutations (CGC→TGC, GTG→ATG) at position 855 and 866 of exon G, and the deletion of 13 nucleotides (CGTATCATTGCAT) at position 840 of exon G, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the point mutations found in exon D, exon E, and exon F, and the deletion in exon G have not been observed before. SSCP revealed bands with abnormal mobility in 10 out of 12 patients tested. Mutations were found 5 out of these 10 patients. The other two patients showed no abnormal band on SSCP, but showed mutations by direct sequencing. In conclusion, we have demonstrated the AR gene mutations, including three novel mutations, in Korean patients with AIS, and these abnormalities might be related to the pathogenesis of androgen insensitivity syndrome.

의학, 보건학 연구에서 선형회귀분석을 수행할 때 독립변수가 왼쪽으로 심하게 기울어진 분포를 가진 경우 로그 변환을 취하는 것이 일반적이다. 그 중 실험실 수치와 같은 변수는 분포가 기울어져 있으면서도 검출한계 미만의 값이 0으로 기록되어 바로 로그 변환을 취할 수 없는 경우가 많다. 이러한 경우 로그 변환을 취하기 전에 0 값을 대체하는 전처리 방법으로 여러 가지 기법이 문헌을 통해 제안되었으나, 이러한 방법 대부분이 번거로운 계산 과정을 요구하기 때문에 실제로는 거의 쓰이지 않는다. 이 연구에서는 문헌에는 등장하지 않으나 실제 임상 연구 현장에서 흔히 쓰이는 다섯가지 방법(1만큼 이동, 영 제외 최솟값의 절반만큼 이동, 영 제외 최솟값의 제곱근만큼 이동, 영 제외 최솟값의 절반으로 영 대체, 영 제외 최솟값의 제곱근으로 영 대체)을 정리하여 소개한다. 각 방법의 성능을 비교하기 위해 로그노말 분포를 가진 독립변수와 선형 관계를 가진 반응변수의 값을 생성한 데이터를 가지고 모의실험을 수행한 결과, 실제로는 가장 흔하게 쓰이는 방법인 1만큼 이동 방법이 가장 좋지 않은 성능을 보였으며, 영 제외 최솟값의 절반만큼 이동 방법과 영 제외 최소값의 절반으로 영 대체 방법이 가장 안정적인 성능을 보였다. In studies in medical science or public health, it is common to apply log-transformation to independent variables that have severely right-skewed distribution. Among such variables, lab values have skewed distribution but have zeros due to limit of detection, which makes it impossible to apply log-transformation directly. There have been various methods proposed to deal with such situation, but most of these methods are rarely used in practice because they usually require additional step in calculation. In this study, five methods that removes zeros (shift by 1, shift by half of the smallest nonzero, shift by square root of the smallest nonzero, replace zeros with half of the smallest nonzero, replace zeros with square root of the smallest nonzero are presented. To compare performances of these methods we performed a simulation study based on randomly generated data with independent variable with log-normal distribution and response variable which has linear relationship with the independent variable, Shift by 1 method has the worst performance, and overall shift by half of the smallest nonzero method and replace zeros with half of the smallest nonzero method showed most stable performances.
