Objective : For relief of back pain related to spondylolisthesis, fusion with or without internal fixation may be necessary. Currently, bilateral wide posterior decompression and fusion with or without internal fixation are used for treatment of spondylolisthesis. In case of severe osteoporosis, discectomy may be done without fusion to decompress the nerve roots. However, the procedure may aggravate radicular symptom because slippage may increase and thus foramen may become narrower. In these settings, inferomedial partial pediculectomy has been done in our institution, The object of this study was to evaltuate such cases with regard to per- and postoperative clinical courses. Patients and Methods : Fifteen patients complaining radicular pain with mild or no back pain underwent inferomedial partial pediculectomy. It was done in lytic spondylolisthesis after extension of isthmic defect. In degenerative spondylolisthesis of L4-5 interspace, intertransverse pediculectomy was done via paraspinal approach not to injure the posterior segment with intact isthmus. But, in degenerative spondylolisthesis of L5-S1 interspace however, partial pediculectomy was done after making artificial isthmic defect via midline approach. Then, reconstructive laminoplasty of L5 was performed to avoid iatrogenic instability resulted from artificial isthmic defect. They were followed up for average 14.4 months(3-31 months). Results : Radiating pain was relieved in all cases(100%). Postoperative result was excellent in 7 cases(46.7%), good in 7(46.7%) and fair in 1(6.6%). Only 1 case(6.7%) showed increase in slippage during follow-up period. Conclusion : Inferomedial partial pediculectomy is considered as a useful procedure for severely osteoporotic patients with spondylolisthesis with regards to keeping stability and decompressing the nerve roots.

불확실성이 존재하는 네트워크 제어시스템의 강인 지연의존 안정성 판별법

In this paper, the problem of stability analysis for networked control systems with norm-bounded parameter uncertainties is investigated. By construction Lyapunov's functional, a new delay-dependent stability criterion for uncertain networked control system is established in terms of LMIs (linear matrix inequalities) which can be easily by various convex optimization algorithms. One numerical example is included to show the effectiveness of proposed criterion.

Design of Superconducting Magnets for a 600 kJ SMES

The design of superconducting magnets for a 600 kJ SEMS was discussed. The basic constraint conditions in the design of a 600 kJ SMES magnet were V-I loss(<1 W), inductance of magnet(<24 H), the number of Double Pancake Coils(DPC about 10), the number of turns of DPC(<300), outer diameter of DPC(close to 800 mm) and total length of HTS wire in a DPC(<500 m). As a result of optimum design, we obtained design parameters of the 600 kJ SMES magnet with two operating currents, 360 A and 370 A, which are in the limited conditions without V-I loss. V-I loss of each operating current was calculated with design parameters and V-I characteristic of the HTS wire. As a result of calculations, V-I losses with operating currents of 360 A and 370 A were 0.6 W and 1.86 W, respectively. Even though all design parameters of the SMES magnet in case of operating current of 360 A were in the restricted conditions, V-I loss of SMES magnet showed a tendency to generate at local DPCs, which are located on the top and the bottom of the SMES magnet more than that of the other DPCs.

TV 드라마 <초인가족>에 나타난 웃음 전략과 희망 서사의 아이러니

TV 드라마 <초인가족>은 30분 분량의 에피소드를 2회씩 방영한 시트콤 장르에 속한다. 이 드라마는 시트콤이라는 장르 명칭 대신에 ‘초감성 미니-드라마’라고 내세웠지만 특성상 시트콤 장르의 범주에 속한다. <초인가족>은 기존의 시트콤과 차별성을 보여주는데 그것은 이 드라마가 극중 TV 뉴스 장면을 통해 매회 에피소드의 주제 및 소재를 제시하면서 그에 따른 좌충우돌 이야기를 통해 당대 사회의 모순과 부조리를 풍자하고 있다는 것이다. <초인가족>이 시트콤 장르로서 전경화하는 것은 크게 두 가지로 말할 수 있다. 첫째는 나천일 가족들이 극중 카메라(또는 시청자)를 바라보며 말을 거는 전략이다. 이러한 전략은 브레히트의 서사극 전략과 유사해 보이지만 그 결과는 정반대의 효과를 만든다. 왜냐하면 <초인가족>에서 나천일 가족이 카메라를 보고 대화를 시도하는 것은 극중 현실이나 극중 인물들과 시청자 사이에 거리를 형성하기보다는 오히려 공감(共感) 형성과 친밀감을 유발하기 때문이다. 둘째는 나천일과 맹라연의 자기반영적 장치이다. 극중에서 TV를 통해 나천일과 맹라연 역을 맡은 배우 박혁권과 박선영이 출연했던 기존 사극을 등장시키거나 가공의 아침 드라마 또는 뉴스 인터뷰 등에 이들이 등장하면서 자기반영적인 특성을 보여준다. <초인가족>은 나천일 가족과 그의 직장 동료, 동네 주민 등의 애환을 코믹하게 다루고 있지만 이들이 감당해야 하는 극중 현실은 잔인할 정도로 참혹하다. 나천일은 직장을 그만 둔 후 최문석 과장과 치킨집을 개업하지만 파리만 날리는 신세가 된다. 그의 동생 나백일은 취업문을 두드리다가 포기하고 귀향한다. 옆집 남자는 잘 나가는 직장인이었다가 정리 해고되는 바람에 아내 대신 집안일을 도맡게 된다. 맹라연과 나익희가 받아들여야 하는 현실과 미래상도 그리 호의적이지는 않다. 따라서 이 드라마는 가족의 응원으로 나천일이 곤경을 극복할 수 있으리라고 이야기하지만 이 표면적인 서사 밑에는 이들이 결코 ‘중간’ 또는 소시민으로 버텨내기 힘들다는 비관적인 미래상도 배경화면으로 남겨두고 있다. The TV drama <The Super Family>, which was broadcast as two 30-minute episodes, has been typically categorized in the genre of sitcoms. However, despite this categorization, the drama has been touted as an “ultra-emotional mini-drama.” <The Super Family> depicts a distinction from traditional sitcoms, wherein the drama satirizes the contradictions and absurdities of society by presenting various relevant themes in each episode through its TV news scene. Primarily, two factors place <The Super Family> in the sitcom genre. The first is the strategy of having families of Na Chun-il address the camera (or the viewers) directly. This is similar to Brecht’s epic strategy, but the results have the opposite effect because in <The Super Family>, Na Chun-il’s family tries to talk to the camera instead of creating a distance between the audience and the reality of the play. The second is the self-reflective device of Na Chun-il and Maeng Ra-yeon. In the TV drama, actors Park Hyuk-kwon and Park Sun-young, who play Na Chun-il and Maeng Ra-yeon, respectively, appear in historical or fictitious morning dramas, or news interviews, exhibiting their self-reflective characteristics. While <The Super Family> comically deals with the plight of Na Chun-il’s family, his co-workers, and residents in the neighborhood, the reality faced by them is brutal. After quitting his job, Na Chun-il opens a chicken restaurant with Choi Moon-seok. Na Baek-il, his younger brother, gives up on his job search and returns home. Their neighbor, a formerly successful office worker who was fired, takes charge of all the household chores instead of his wife. The reality and future that await Maeng Ra-yeon and Na Ik-hee are not favorable either. Therefore, the drama suggests that while Na Chun-il may be able to overcome difficulties with his family’s support, under the ostensible narrative, there exists a pessimistic vision of the future that they will be unable to survive as “the middle class” or “petty bourgeois.”

『수호전』 양산박의 생성과 소멸의 공간적 의미 : 헤테로토피아(Heterotopia)적 특성을 중심으로

하지만 다른 현실공간과는 절대적으로 다른 공간인 대항 공간으로 존재하고 있으며, 이것은 ‘이의제기의 공간’으로 생성되었으며 ‘한시적 공간’으로 소멸되었다고 볼 수 있다. 양산박의 생성과 소멸은 ‘헤테로토피아’의 원리를 보여주고 있다. 『수호전』에 함축된 다양한 의미를 파악하기 위해서는 다양한 시각을 통한 접근이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 작품에서 추구하는 이상세계가 어떠한 ‘공간’을 이루고 있으며 이 ‘공간’이 현실세계에 어떻게 구성되는지를 통해 그 장소가 지니는 함의를 분석해보는 것은 작품의 본질을 파악하는 하나의 시각이 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다. This study started from the point that the ideal society described in Shuihuzhuan(水滸傳). differs from the concept of ‘Utopia’, The space where Liangshan heroes tried to realize their ideals, Liangshanpo(梁山泊) resembles ‘Heterotopia’. it was a space of an ideal society that exists in reality. Paying attention to this point, I tried to approach the thematic consciousness of Shuihuzhuan by analyzing the spatial characteristics of Liangshanpo as a heterotopia. Liangshanpo is a heterotopia space that exists in the real world, but exists as a counter space, which is absolutely different from other real spaces. The creation and extinction of Liangshanpo shows the principle of heterotopia. In order to grasp the various meanings implied in Shuihuzhuan, it seems necessary to approach through various perspectives. Analyzing the implications of the place through what kind of ‘space’ the ideal world pursued in the work constitutes and how this ‘space’ is constructed in the real world is a perspective to grasp the essence of the work. The perception of the ‘space’ called Liangshanpo has created a perspective in understanding Shuihuzhuan.

해방기 독립 투쟁 소재의 극예술에 나타난 주제의식 연구 : 박노아의 희곡 <선구자>와 전창근의 시나리오 <자유만세>를 중심으로

본고는 독립 투쟁을 소재로 하는 해방 직후의 희곡과 시나리오의 주제의식을 분석하고자 하였다. 박노아와 전창근은 각각 희곡 <선구자>와 시나리오<자유만세>를 통해 식민지 말기 항일 투쟁가들의 영웅담을 들려준다. 이 두 작품은 소재적 유사성을 가지고 있는데 두 작가가 모두 식민지 말기에 친일적인 작품 활동을 했다는 공통점도 가지고 있다. 희곡 <개화촌>과 영화 <복지만리>가 그것인데, 이 두 작가는 독립 투쟁 소재의 작품을 통해 식민지 시기의 친일적 작품과 갈라서려 한다. 그러나 박노아의 <선구자>는 보이지 않는 절대적 주체로 설정하는 것이나, 여성을 불신의 대상으로 타자화하는 방식에 있어 <개화촌>을 반복하고 있다. <복지만리>의 친일성 여부에 대해서는 아직도 논쟁 중에 있지만, 다른 영화인에 비해 전창근의 친일 행각은 두드러지지 않는다. 시나리오 <자유만세>는 해방 직전까지 항일 투쟁을 벌이는 영웅적 주인공을 통해 민족의식을 고양하려 한다. 그러나 <복지만리>에서 주인공이 자살하는 것으로 설정한 것과 같이 <자유만세>에서도 주인공은 무모할 정도의 투쟁 방식을 선택하여 죽음을 맞이한다. <선구자>가 남성 영웅을 구축하기 위해 여성을 타자화했다면, <자유만세>에서는 여성을 성녀와 탕녀라는 분열증적 대상으로 상상한다. This study aims to analyze the theme of a play and scenario about the struggle for independence right after Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule. Park, no-ah and Chun, chang-geun tell epic tales on pro-independence fighter against colonialist Japan through a play and scenario, <A pioneer> and <Viva Freedom>. They have several things in common in their writing material, and there is one thing they have pro-Japanese activities during the colonial period. <A pioneer> and <A civilized village> have one thing in common in distrusting women. And there is common ground on an attitude that the playwriter regards the independence fighter as an absolute being. Meanwhile, <Viva Freedom> enhances nationalism through foregrounding an anti-Japan fighter. But Viva Freedom and <A remote foreign welfare land> have one thing in common in an attitude to praise a blind sacrifice such as a dying because of a reckless combat. While <A pioneer> accepts otherizing of women for building heroes, <Viva Freedom> allows a imagination of regarding women as schizophrenic object.

Proliferative myositis is a rare, benign, probably pseudosarcomatous fibroblastic proliferation that typically presents as a rapidly growing soft tissue mass. Its relative rarity, fast growth rate, and unique histopathologic findings may lead to misdiagnosis as a malignant lesion and unnecessary radical surgical excision. A 57-year-old female presented with a non-tender, well-defined, indurated, solitary, hard papule on the median sulcus of the tongue for 2 weeks. Histologic examination revealed numerous fibroblastic or myofibroblastic spindle cells and large ganglion-like cells infiltrating between and around the muscle fascicles. Immunohistochemical staining showed positivity for vimentin, smooth muscle actin, and CD68 and negativity for S-100. Based on these characteristic clinical findings and histopathologic features, the patient was diagnosed with proliferative myositis. Here, we report a rare case of proliferative myositis on the tongue and recommend considering proliferative myositis in the differential diagnosis when a physician encounters a rapidly grown soft tissue mass.
