Author investigated the distibution of NAG vibrio among environment and sea-foods specimen in west coastal area during 1982―1983. The results were as follows; 1. Among 270 environmental and 360 sea-food specimens were collected regularly by month and 13 strains from environment, 6 strains from sea-food were isolated and identified as NAG Vibrio. 2. Isolation rate were higher during warmer season such as May, June, and lower in cool season. 3. Isolated strains showed identica piological charactristic against reference strains. 4. Optimal growth concentration of NaCl were 0.5~2.0%. 5. Optimal growth temparature were 37℃ and room temparature. 6. Optimal pH for growth were pH 7.0~8.0, lower pH such as pH 5.0 or higher than 9 were bacteriocidal. 7. None of isolate from human diarrhoeal case found NAG Vibrio during investigation.
