        Click Chemistry를 이용한 다중벽 탄소나토튜브의 키토산 기능화

        Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were functionalized with chitosan using Cu-catalyzed Huisgen [3+2] cycloaddition click chemistry. Azide moiety-chitosan was prepared by synthesizing azide-moiety epichlorohydrin and its subsequent reaction with chitosan. Alkyne-functionalized MWNTs were separately prepared by the diazotization reaction of MWNTs with p-amino propargyl ether. Covalent functionalization of the MWNTs was accomplished through click coupling between the alkyne-derived MWNTs and the azide moiety-chitosan. The reaction was confirmed by FT-IR, Raman, SEM, and TEM measurements. Functionalized chitosan was observed by TEM on the surfaces of the MWNTs after click coupling. Electrical heating with a maximum of $6.8^{\circ}C$ occurred when a voltage of 60 V was applied to the MWNT/chitosan composites, further demonstrating the chitosan functionalization of the MWNTs.

        Aeration 공정 처리가 홍삼분말 추출물의 프로사포게닌의 함량 변화와 항산화 활성에 미치는 영향

        The effect of aeration process in causing changes in the prosapogenin content and the antioxidant activity of red ginseng powder extracts was investigated. With respect to the color change of the extracts, the L-value and b-value decreased significantly with the lapse of extraction time both with and without the aeration process. The a-value increased with the lapse of the extraction time in the non-aeration process but decreased in the aeration process. This result suggests that when the aeration process was performed, the lightness, yellowness, and redness decreased with the lapse of the extraction time, resulting in a darker color. The total polyphenolic and total flavonoid contents were the highest at 0.84 and 0.96 mg Gallic Acid Equivalent (GAE)/mL, 21.77 and 21.93 mg GAE/mL at 24 h and 36 h, respectively for the aerated red ginseng powder extracts. The DPPH, ABTS, H2O2 scavenging activity, and reducing power were measured to confirm the antioxidant effects of red ginseng powder extracts after the aeration process. Thus, the antioxidant activity was increased in the aerated red ginseng powder extracts. In addition, when comparing the contents of Rb1, Rg1, and Rg3, the content of Rg3 was significantly different, and it was confirmed that a large amount was produced in the aerated red ginseng extracts. These results indicate that the red ginseng extracts subjected to the aeration process are superior than the ones processed by the non-aeration process.

        특발성 경화복막염 1예

        Idiopathic sclerosing peritonitis is a rare disease characterized by fibrosis and adhesion of the peritoneum to loops of the small intestine. It may be the cause of an unusual surgical emergency such as small bowel ileus. It is diagnosed predominantly in female adolescents. We report the case of an idiopathic sclerosing peritonitis in Korea. A 38-year-old man visited emergency room for recurrent small bowel ileus and migrating mass like lesion. Computed tomography (CT) of abdomen showed acute peritonitis with a diffuse wall thickening of terminal ileum and extraluminal fluid collectionaround the terminal ileum. He underwent laparotomy. The ileocolectomy with adhesiolysis was performed and its pathological examination revealed the characteristic findings of idiopathic sclerosing peritonitis. Symptoms recurred 2 months after surgery, but improved with steroid treatment.

        This study was conducted derive an unit hydrograph which may be applied to the ungaged watershed area from the relations between directly measurable unitgraph properties such as peak discharge (^qP), time to peak discharge(T_p), and lag time (Lg) and watershed characteristics such as river length(L) from the given station to the upstream limits of the watershed area in km, river length from station to centroid of gravity of the watershed area in km(Lca), and main stream slope in m/km(S). Demensionless unit-hydrograph analysed in brief. The basic data(1963-1967) used in these studies are 5 recording level gages and rating curve, 9 rain gages and pluviographs, and 5 observed unitgraph through the 5 sub watersheds in Sab Gyo River upper basin and it applied to flood discharge calculation at damsite. The results summarized in these studies are as follows; 1. Time in hour from start of rise to peak rate(Tp) generally occured at the position of 0.2 Tb(time base of hydrograph) with some indication of higher values for larger watershed area. 2. The relationship between the rainfall and the loss of rainfall was represented by Y = 2.89 × 0.58 eqution, the correlation coefficient for Y(the loss of rainfall) was 0.986. 3. Considering about the slope of river, the relationship between the watershed properties and the lagtime was Lag = <본문 참조> 4. Triangular hydrograph is a dimensionless unitgraph prepared from the 5 unitgraph. The equation is shown as <본몬 참조> or <본문 참조> the constant 0.153 is defined to Sab Gyo River basin. 5. In the flood discharge hydrograph at damsite, flood concentration rate anight slightly be low in the Sab Gyo River basin. It is considered that the slopes are within <본문 참조>, low slightly in the light of other river studies. 6. F Testing should be required When the dimensionless unit hydrograph is applied to the ungaged watershed, weather congenial watershed or not.

        장수풍뎅이 유충 단백가수분해물의 제조 및 항산화 활성

        Allomyrina dichotoma larvae (ADL) extracts have been reported to possess multiple biological activities; therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the antioxidant properties of ADL protein hydrolysates. Protein hydrolysates were prepared from ADL powder by enzymatic hydrolysis using five different proteases (alcalase, bromelain, flavourzyme, neutrase, and papain). Evaluation of the peptide contents and SDS-PAGE analyses revealed that ADL treated with alcalase, neutrase, and flavourzyme showed a high degree of hydrolysis (HD), whereas the HD value of those treated with bromelain and papain was minimal. The RC50 values of the protein hydrolysates (<3 kDa) obtained from three different antioxidant analyses revealed that they had similar antioxidant activities. In addition, the alcalase hydrolysate showing the highest production yield of low molecular weight protein hydrolysate was further tested for its inhibitory effect on peroxidation of linoleic acid by measuring the thiobarbituric acid values and the results showed that treatment with the alcalase hydrolysate (100∼400 μg/mL) significantly inhibited linoleic acid peroxidation during five days of incubation. These findings suggest that protein hydrolysates from ADL represent potential sources of natural antioxidants. 장수풍뎅이 유충 분말을 4%(w/v)의 기질용액으로 제조하여 기질 대비 단백질 가수분해효소(alcalase, flavourzyme, neutrase, bromelain 및 papain)를 각 1%(w/v) 첨가한 후 장수풍뎅이 유충 단백가수분해물을 제조하였다. 효소별 가수분해물의 특성을 SDS-PAGE와 free amino group의 농도를 측정하여 확인한 결과, alcalase가 가장 높은 가수분해도를 보인 데 반해 bromelain과 papain은 상대적으로 아주 낮은 가수분해도를 보였다. 가수분해도가 높았던 3종의 효소를 이용하여 제조한 단백가수분해물을 각각 한외여과막을 통해 분자량 3 kDa 이하로 분리한 후 항산화 실험을 수행하였다. DPPH 라디칼 소거 활성의 경우 neutrase와 flavourzyme 단백가수분해물이 alcalase 단백가수분해물에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타났으며, ABTS 라디칼 소거 활성은 alcalase, neutrase, flavourzyme 단백가수분해물 순으로 높게 나타났다. H2O2 소거 활성은 flavourzyme 단백가수분해물이 다른 두 가수분해물에 비해 월등히 높았으며, 저분자 펩타이드 생산 효율이 가장 높았던 장수풍뎅이 alcalase 단백가수분해물을 대상으로 농도별 linoleic acid 과산화 억제 활성을 측정한 결과 농도 의존적으로 유의적인 과산화 억제 활성을 보였다. 한편, 장수풍뎅이 유충 alcalase 단백가수분해물의 ROS 소거 활성을 다른 2종의 식용곤충 즉 갈색거저리 유충과 흰점박이꽃무지 유충으로부터 제조한 각각의 alcalase 단백가수분해물과 비교한 결과, 장수풍뎅이 유충 단백가수분해물이 상대적으로 우수한 ROS 소거 활성을 보이는 것을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 본 연구를 통해 여러 단백 분해 효소원들을 이용하여 장수풍뎅이 유충의 단백가수분해물 제조 특성을 조사하였으며, 이들 단백가수분해물들(<3 kDa)의 우수한 항산화 활성을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 장수풍뎅이 유충 단백가수분해물을 활용한 항산화 소재 개발의 가능성을 시사하며, 나아가 새로운 기능성 식품 개발에도 장수풍뎅이 유충이 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
