대한기계설비산업연구원(원장 이언구)은 지난해 4월 연구심의위원회에서 선정된 ${\triangle}$기계설비건설업 동향분석을 위한 기초연구 ${\triangle}$기계설비건설업체의 부도예측 모형 연구 ${\triangle}$기계설비건설공사 시공상세도면 작성비 산정기준 연구 ${\triangle}$플랜트 건설현장 외국인력 고용 개선방안 ${\triangle}$녹색기술 기준에 근거한 연구과제 도출을 위한 기초연구 ${\triangle}$대용량 지열설비 이용을 위한 지중열교환기 용량 설계 툴 개발 ${\triangle}$기계설비배관 및 장비 단열 기준 연구 등의 기본과제와 외부기관과 공동으로 수행한 ${\triangle}$플랜트 건설현장 외국인력 고용 개선방안 ${\triangle}$기계설비건설업 관련법규 개선방안 연구를 추진했다. 본지는 지난 2월호부터 연구결과 요약 보고서를 연재하고 있다.

When applying geothermal systems in cities such as seoul where high density development prevails, the selection of geothermal system capable of obtaining a large capacity in the limited grounds is necessary. In this study, an easy-to-use design tool is developed in the form of spreadsheet by applying the calculation theory of existing closed-loop vertical ground heat exchanger that can be used in the early design stage of the open-loop ground heat exchanger. By only using the maximum cooling and heating load, it is possible to calculate optimal design open-loop ground heat exchanger. Further research is needed, we are plan to improve the program considering the heat loss of groundwater flowing in the inner casing, G-Function for Open-Loop, and verification by applying actual projects.
지중온도 경사를 이용한 효율적 지중에너지 이용 방안에 관한 연구

This paper proposes an optimum operation method for open type ground heat exchangers. A series of TRTs and artificial heating/cooling operations were carried out while monitoring temperature in the hole of SCW. The ground temperature naturally increases with depth, but a switch between the cooling/heating mode results in a change in the distribution of ground temperature. The effect of the mode change was evaluated by performing LMTD and COMSOL multiphysics analysis for a reduced model with the depth of 150 m. As a result, in the cooling mode, the upstream operation is more efficient than the downstream operation and reduces EWT by 2.26℃. On the other hand, in the heating mode, the downstream operation is advantageous over the upstream operation and increases EWT by 3.19℃. The merit of the optimum operation will be enhanced for the typical dimension of SCW with a depth of 400~500 m. In the future, an open type ground heat exchanger system adopting the optimum operation with variation in the ground temperature will be used in practice.

In this study, we choose an apartment house that has a ventilation system contained with CO2 sensors. The ventilation system runs on above 1,000 ppm of CO2 in indoor air. The control performance and electrical energy usage of CO2 sensor contained ventilation system has been monitored for one month and also analyzed. As a result, the average CO2 concentration in nursery room is 782 ppm, at ventilated home as 1,563 ppm at non-ventilated home. And electricity consumption by ventilation was 13.3 kWh. This study can be utilized as a basis for extension of CO2 sensor contained ventilation system application and encouraged for the use of conventional ventilation systems.

The purpose of this study is to present an approach for developing guideline of open type ground heat exchanger considering the geotechnical properties and heating and cooling loads of buildings. The results indicate that typical building loads are often greater in cooling season. Therefore, it is necessary to develop open type ground heat exchanger having the upward flow as upward flow exchanger is efficient in cooling mode. In addition, it is necessary to increase the effective length of ground heat exchanger in the existing technology. Based on this study, it is possible to develop a more efficient geothermal system.

This paper proposes an optimum pipe material (PVC vs. PE) design & selection for open loop ground heat exchangers. Heat exchange efficiency and/or workability, and the need for trench insulation were investigated by comparing EWT (cooling mode) of each system. CFD simulations for the PVC and PE pipe with the same inner diameter show similar EWT. This is because the PVC pipe has a small thickness but a low thermal conductivity as compared to the PE pipe, and thus these two properties tend to offset each other. However, a hypothetically insulated pipe led to a meaningful drop of EWT. This means pipe insulation is of importance in performance of ground heat exchangers. From analyzing climate data and system operation, it is not advantageous to insulate trench pipes due to construction difficulties and ground temperature characteristics that are seasonally varied.
