        중・고등학생 수학 국가수준 학업성취도 평가의 정책효과분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how the implementation of national-level academic achievement in mathematics for middle and high schools students influences the percentage of students who fail to meet basic academic proficiency standards. Method: Analysis was conducted using middle and high school student academic achievement data collected from 2009 to 2019 that has been provided by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE), and regression discontinuity design was implemented to verify the causal effect of the policy. Results: As a result, it was found that the change in policy from 100% survey → reduction of 100% survey (2013) → sampling survey (2017) increased the proportion of middle and high school students who did not meet the basic level of mathematics in the discontinuity point. Conclusion: It was confirmed that the shift towards reducing evaluation at the national level had a negative causal effect on the mathematics achievement of middle and high school student. Despite the coexistence of varied opinions regarding the necessity and concerns of comprehensive academic achievement evaluation, the essence of evaluation is to help students’ growth and development, it is necessary to return the evaluation results to the educational field to facilitate students’ educational development.

        Analysis and simulation of large deflection of a multi-segmented catheter tube under wire tension

        Tip positioning of a wire-driven catheter tube is a great challenge during surgeries and it is a significant problem. In order to successfully position the tip to the desired location, a reliable simulation has to be developed. With simulation, determining the required tension force to accurately position the tip of the tube is possible. We examined the general structure of a wire-driven catheter tube. The equations for analyzing the nonlinear large deformation of the tube were derived based on the Euler-Bernoulli law. The Matlab simulation of the deflected catheter tube was developed according to the derived equations. An experiment capturing the actual shape of deflected catheter under various pull wire tensions of up to about 11 N involved measuring the displacement of the pre-selected five points along the catheter tube. The location of the points was compared to the location of the corresponding points of the simulation results. Both shapes resulted in similar curve shapes with maximum error around 3 mm, which corresponds to 1 % error. Thus, the simulation reliability was verified.

        혈소판 유래 성장인자가 임플란트 주위 골형성에 미치는 효과에 대한 실험적 연구

        Bony fixation of implants during the early phase of healing is important in order to get secondary stability of the implant assuring the success of the treatment. Because the successful placement of the implant is limited by the quality and quantity of bone, other agents which stimulate bone formation in the peri-implant spaces has been illustrated. Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) has been shown to regulate DNA and protein synthesis in bone cells in vitro and to interact synergistically to enhance soft tissue wound healing in vivo. The purpose of this study was to evaluate bone promotion around implants which were augmented with sagittal split osteotomy or autogenous veneer bone graft using the platelet derived growth factor(PDGF). After placement of newly designed twenty four screw-type implants, which were 12mm in length and 4mm in diameter in 6 dogs. $4{\mu}g$ of PDGF B/B was applied with surgicel carriers. The dogs were sacrificed at 3 days, 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12 weeks after implantation. Specimens were examined clinically, radiographically, histologically, and histomorphometrically. The results were as follows: 1. Clinically and radiologically, there was no significant difference in bone formation and healing pattern between experimental and control group. 2. In autogenous veneer bone graft group, bone formation was observed at 1st week in the experimental groups but 2nd week in the control groups. At 3rd week, the expeimental groups showed more bone formation comparing to the control groups. 3. In sagittal split osteotomy group, bone formation was observed at 1st week in both groups. But the experimental groups showed more bone formation comparing to the control groups after 2nd week. 4. The bone growth rate of experimental group was more rapid than that of control group. These results indicated that PDGF did not affect the initiation of new bone formation, but it accelerated the bone formation at the early period.

        Combination Chemotherapy of Carboplatin and Cyclophosphamide in a Dog with Mammary Tumors Metastasized to the Lungs

        In the present case, the effect and toxicity of carboplatin and cyclophosphamide chemotherapy combinedwith surgery of mammary tumors in a dog were examined. An 8-year old spayed female Beagle presented with amammary tumor. Physical examination, radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), and laboratoryexamination were performed. Metastasis of the mammary tumor was confirmed by CT scan. Chemotherapy using acombination of carboplatin and cyclophosphamide was initiated following surgery. The first cycle of chemotherapywas planned to last for 6 weeks; it was planned that carboplatin would be intravenously administered for the firstweek (1 day) and cyclophosphamide would be intravenously administered for the next 3 weeks (22 days). Betweenthe end of cycle 1 and the beginning of cycle 2, based on CT, it was confirmed that the number and size of tumorswere unchanged and the tumors had not spread to other organs. However, at the end of cycle 2 and the beginningof cycle 3, CT revealed an increase in the number and size of mass in the lung. Chemotherapy was associated withadverse effects such as lethargy, anorexia, leukopenia, and hair loss. In conclusion, this case showed that a combinationof carboplatin and cyclophosphamide suppressed the development of new neoplasms as well as metastasis for a certainperiod of time but did not improve the survival time. Although more cases are required, this chemotherapeutic procedureremains challenging.

        초·중학생 성취목표지향성의 잠재프로파일 분석과 예측변인 탐색

        This study aims to examine the achievement goal orientation profiles of elementary and middle school students, and identify the longitudinal transition patterns of each profile and search for variables that predict the change. The data from Korea Education Longitudinal Study(KELS) was utilized for the Latent Transition Analysis(LTA). The analysis was conducted on a total of 6,480 students who responded to both the second(elementary) and fifth(middle school) survey in 2014. According to the results of the study, first, the achievement goal orientation profiles were divided into four groups of lethargy, average, mastery, and active type in both elementary and middle schools. Second, the latent transition analysis confirms the possibility of change along with the stability of the achievement goal orientation profiles. However, in the process of changing to the third grade of middle school, the goal orientation for achievement in the sixth grade of elementary school is mostly transferred to the same group or to a group with lower goal orientation in quality. Third, school-level(teacher/stress) and student-level(self-regulation strategy) variables, which significantly affect the transition of achievement-oriented profiles, were found to be static or negative depending on the profile characteristics of the individual. Based on these findings, the study aims to inform the importance of achieving the change in the achievement goal orientation of students from elementary to middle school in the most positive direction as possible, and provide implications for predictive variable to have improved qualitative achievement goal orientation. 본 연구는 초·중학교 학생들의 성취목표지향성 잠재프로파일 유형과 각 유형의 종단적인 전이 양상을 파악하고 그 변화를 예측하는 변인들을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 2014년 2차(초6)와 2017년 5차(중3) 설문에 모두 응답한 학생 중 총 6,480명의 학생을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 보면 첫째, 성취목표지향성 잠재프로파일은 초·중학교 모두 각각 무기력형, 평균형, 숙달형, 적극형의 네 집단유형으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 잠재전이분석 결과 성취목표지향성 프로파일의 고정성과 함께 변화 가능성이 확인되었다. 다만 초등학교 6학년의 성취목표지향성은 중학교 3학년으로 변화하는 과정에서 대부분 같은 집단에 머무르거나 질적으로 보다 낮은 성취목표지향성을 가진 집단으로 전이되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성취목표지향성 프로파일의 전이에 유의한 영향을 미치는 학교 차원(교사·스트레스) 및 학생 차원(자기조절전략) 변인은 개인이 속한 프로파일 특성에 따라 정적 혹은 부적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 초등학교에서 중학교로 전환하는 학생의 성취목표지향성 변화를 최대한 긍정적인 방향으로 이루는 것이 중요함을 알리고, 질적으로 향상된 성취목표지향성을 가지기 위한 예측변인에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.
