본고에서는 『신코킨슈』의 미적기반을 이루고 있는 혼카도리가에 채택된 혼카에 초점을 맞추었다. 『신코킨슈』서 혼카로 채택된 와카를 살펴보면, 단연 『고킨슈』에 수록된 노래가 많다. 그러나, 한 수의 와카가 여러 혼가도리가에 채택된 중복 상황을 조사해보면, 단연 눈에 띄는 것이 『이세이야기』를 출전으로 하는 노래이다. 본고에서는 주로 『이세이야기』를 출전으로 하는 혼카를 분석함으로써, 『신코킨슈』 당시의 가인들이 동경하던 미의식에 관하여 고찰하였다. 『이세이야기』를 출전으로 하는 혼카의 특징은 『신코킨슈』 당시에 널리 알려진 사랑의 노래라는 점이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 『신코킨슈』에서는 사랑의 노래뿐 아니라, 계절가나 애상가등에서도 혼카로 채택되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 그 사랑이야기를 바탕으로 신코킨슈의 작자들은 시각과 청각, 거기에 후각까지 더하여 와카를 읊어내고 있다. 그들이 읊어낸 와카는 현실적으로는 도저히 있을 수 없는 세계를 묘사하지만, 마치 현실인 것과 같이 착각하게 하는 특성이 있다. 와카를 감상하는 우리들은 마치 극장에 앉아 3D 영화를 보는 것 같다. 이것이 바로 『신코킨슈』의 작자들이 표현하고 싶어 했던 미적 세계이고, 이러한 미적세계가 신코킨슈의 미적기반의 일부를 형성하고 있다고 할 수 있을 것이다. This dissertation mainly focuses on the “Honkadori” of “Honka” which is the aesthetical base of “Shinkokinshu”. When we look into the Wakas selected as Honka in Shinkokinshu, there are a number of songs derived from “Kokinshu.” However, according to a research about repeated number of songs from several Honkadori, it is prominent to see plenty number of songs from “Isemonogatari”. This paper mainly analyzes Honkas of Isemonogatari and examines the aesthetic viewpoint of the authors and their contemporaries. One of main point of Honkas from “Isemonogatari’ is that they are wellknown love songs at that time. Despite their reputation, they are also known as songs of four seasons and elegies. Moreover, based on these love songs, the authors of Shinkokinshu uses the visual, auditory, and olfactory features to compose songs. Although their description of the world is virtual, they make people feels as real. Those who appreciate Wakas feels like watching a third dimension movie. These are the aesthetic aspects that the authors of Shinkokinshu wanted to describe and these aesthetic points constitute the Shinkokinshu’s aesthetic foundation.
