        Helicobacter Pylori균은 만성편도염의 원인균인가?

        Background and Objectives: (MALT), which has evolved to protect vulnerable mucosal surfaces. Helicobacter pylori, implicated as an etiological factor in duodenal ulcer and gastritis, induces the apearance of lymphoid agregates in the stomach. Therefore, we investigate the posibility that tonsils can be extragastric reservoir and target tissue for H. pylori. Subjects and Method:Campylobacter-Like Organism (CLO) test and imunohistochemical (IHC) analysis for H. pylorigroup (62 patients) and controled group (36 patients) were enrolled in this study. Tisue samples were collected from excised palatine tonsils. Two millimeter diameter tissue piece that had ben obtained from palatine tonsil specimens were placed in the CLO test kit. Remnant tonsils were sent to the Department of Pathology for IHC analysis. Results:Using the CLO test, H. pylori was detected in 60 (61.2%) of the 98 patients, 39 (62.9%) of 62 in chronic tonsillitis group and 21 (58.3%) of 36 in control group. Using the IHC analysis, it was detected in 54 (55.1%) of the 98 patients, 35 (56.5%) of 62 in chronic tonsillitis group and 19 (52.8%) of 36 in control group. There are no significant diferences between chronic tonsillitis group and control group with regard to both CLO & IHC analysis. Conclusion:This result sugests that palatine tonsil represents an extragastric reservoir for H. pylori infection, but not a target tisue. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2007 ;50 :616-21)

        호남평야지에서 쌀 품질 향상을 위한 적정 질소시비량

        호남평야지에서 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 질소시비량을 구명하고자 2002~~2004 년에 호남평야지인 익산에서 삼천벼, 화성벼, 남평벼를 공시하여, 질소시비량에 따른 생육, 수량구성요소, 수량 및 품질 관련형질을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 단위면적당 수수와 입수는 다비할수록 많았으나, 등숙비율과 현미천립중은 다비할수록 저하되었다. 2. 백미 외관상 품위에서 완전립 비율은 질소시비량이 많을수록 낮았고, 아밀로스 함량은 질소시비량 간에 별 차이가 없었으나, 단백질 함량은 질소시비량이 증가됨에 따라 다소 높아지는 경향이었다. 3. 쌀 수량은 삼천벼와 화성벼는 질소 9kg/10a, 남평벼는 질소 11kg/10a까지, 완전미 수량은 삼천벼와 화성벼는 질소 7kg/10a, 남평벼는 질소 9kg/10a 수준까지는 증수 되었으나 그 이상의 질소시비량에서는 수량 차이가 인정되지 않았다. 4. 따라서 호남평야지에서 완전미 수량, 등숙비율, 미질 등을 고려한 10g당 적정 질소시비량은 9kg 내외로 판단된다. This study was carried out to elucidate the proper nitrogen application level considering rice quality in Honam plain area from 2002 to 2004 at the paddy field of Honam Agricultural Research Institute. The rice cultivars tested were Samcheonbyeo (Early maturing one), Hwaseongbyeo (Medium maturing one) and Nampyeongbyeo (Mid-late maturing one). The results are summarized as follows: The higher amount of nitrogen application resulted in greater number of panicle and grain in per unit area, but the rate of ripening and the 1,000-grain weight of brown rice decreased. The protein contents showed a tendency of increase with higher nitrogen level. The head rice yield increased by the higher nitrogen application up to 7 kg/10a for Samcheonbyeo and Hwaseongbyeo, and 9 kg/10a for Nampyeongbyeo respectively. The appropriate nitrogen application amounts, with respect to the yield of head rice, the rate of ripening and the quality of rice were found to be in range of 7 to 9 kg/10a.

        벼흰잎마름병 저항성 고품질 중생 벼 ‘해품’

        ‘Haepum’ is a bacterial blight-resistant, medium maturing rice cultivar with high grain quality. It was derived from a cross between ‘Iksan493’ (cultivar name ‘Jinbaek’) and the F1 cross between ‘Iksan495’ (‘Dacheong’) and ‘Iksan496’ (‘Jungmo1005’). Of these three cultivars, ‘Jinbaek’ is a bacterial blight-resistant mid-late maturing rice cultivar with high grain quality, ‘Dacheong’ is a mid-late maturing rice cultivar with multiple resistance to disease and insects, and ‘Jungmo1005’ is a mid-late maturing rice cultivar with lodging tolerance. To develop fixed lines, the anther culture method was applied to F1 plants. The cultivar ‘Haepum’ was selected using the pedigree method, yield trials, and local adaptability tests. The heading date of ‘Haepum’ was August 11th, three days earlier than that of ‘Nampyeong’ cultivar. Haepum’ is a cultivar tolerant to lodging and it has short culms. Due to its low rate of viviparous germination, ‘Haepum’ could be useful for preventing pre-harvest sprouting in cultivation of medium maturing rice in the southern plain area of Korea. ‘Haepum’ carries two bacterial blight resistance genes (Xa3 and xa5), and in our study, it exhibited high-level and broad-spectrum resistance against bacterial blight, including K3a, the most virulent race in Korea. ‘Haepum’ is also resistant to the rice stripe virus and moderately resistant to rice blast. The yield of ‘Haepum’ was similar to that of ‘Nampyeong’. ‘Haepum’ showed excellent grain appearance and good taste of cooked rice, and therefore it could contribute to the development of bacterial blight-resistant rice cultivars of improved quality. ‘Haepum’ would be suitable for cultivation in the southern plain area of Korea as well as in bacterial blight-prone areas.         외상없이 인후두부 이물감을 유발한 갑상연골 상각 내전 2예

        Foreign body sensation is a nonspecific symptom of aerodigestrive tract diseases. Symptoms may be the result of gastroesophagealreflux, esophageal motility disorder, psychological factor and malignant lesion. Rarely, a unilateral bulging of the hypopharynx asa result of medial displaced superior cornu of the thyroid cartilage can be a reason. The appropriate diagnosis is made by fiberopticlaryngoscopy and CT scanning. Surgical removal of the portion of the superior cornu bulging toward the hypopharynx improvesthe foreign body sensation. We experienced two cases of medially displaced superior cornu of the thyroid cartilage without laryngealinjury. This unusual presentation is discussed with a review of the literature.         Isolated sphenoid sinusitis is a rare disorder. There are some difficulties in its diagnosis; therefore the first presentation of this disorder might be with complications. These complications are essentially due to the anatomical location of the sinus and its proximity to the intra-cranial and orbital contents, to which infection may easily spread. A case of isolated sphenoid fungal sinusitis with unilateral abducent nerve palsy is being reported which was successfully treated by parenteral antibiotic therapy and endonasal endoscopic sphenoidotomy.

        전문계 고등학교에서의 프로젝트 학습 인식에 관한 연구

        The Purpose of this research is to investigate how Project Based Learning(PBL) cognitive department and among the learner and instructor in the industrial highschool. Theoretical framework for the study is based on PBL, collaborative learning and module learning. The importance of the PBL has been continuously reviewed by many educational researchers. In addition, it was supported by previous research results. Based on theoretical frameworks and previous researches on the PBL provided design principles and method for learning in the industrial highschool. As a result of this study, we have developed and applied to investigate (1) differences between the types of departments(agriculture, industry, commerce) of cognition on learner's and instructor's task solving process, (2) correlation between the type of groups(learner, instructor) and type of departments(agriculture, industry, commerce) cognition on task solving process. The total of 100 learners and 50 instructors from industrial highschool in the study for the period of sixteen weeks. Based on the type of groups and departments, participants were divided into six groups such as learner and instructor of agriculture, industry, commerce department. The result of the study can be summarized as follows:First, in the study, between the types of departments(agriculture, industry, commerce) of cognition on learner's and instructor's task solving process are differences. Second, correlation between the type of groups(learner, instructor) and type of departments(agriculture, industry, commerce) of cognition on task solving process are differences. Although the differences were insignificant for cognition of PBL's help, however, four items(accomplishment, application subject, hereafter application) showed significant differences in performances. The implication of the result indicated the cognition of PBL in the industrial highschool seem significant for departments and subjects characteristic of learning. In future research it is recommended that PBL model designs should consider components of group and department types. 본 연구는 전문계 고등학교에서 프로젝트 학습을 실시하였을 때, 프로젝트 학습에 대한 학습자와 교수자간의 인식차이와 계열별 학습자들 간의 인식 차이가 있는지를 확인해 보고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 프로젝트 학습은 모듈수업 가운데 교수·학습 기본 모형을 적용하여 수업을 실시하였고, 집단유형(학습자, 교수자)과 계열유형별(농업, 공업, 상업)로 프로젝트 학습을 통한 학습결과에의 도움 여부, 프로젝트 학습 수행에의 만족도, 프로젝트 학습의 적용가능 교과, 향후 프로젝트 학습의 적용 선호여부에 관한 4개 항목에 대한 인식차이를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 전문계 고등학교 학습자들이 프로젝트 학습에 참여한 이유는 자발적인 경우(21.0%)보다는 교수자들의 권유 때문인 것으로 나타났다(58.0%). 또한, 집단(학습자, 교수자)과 계열(농업, 공업, 상업)간 상호작용효과는 프로젝트 학습 수행에의 만족도, 프로젝트 학습의 적용가능 교과, 향후 프로젝트 학습의 적용 선호여부 항목에 있어서는 각각 상호작용 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전문계 고등학교에서의 성공적인 프로젝트 학습 수행을 위해서는 학습자들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하고 교수자와 학습자용 프로젝트 학습 모듈이 각각 개발되어야 하며, 동시에 계열에 따른 별도의 프로젝트 학습 모형이 개발·적용되어야 할 것이다.

        웹 기반 학습 환경에서 집단 유형과 과제 유형에 따른 자기조절학습 효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 웹 기반 학습 환경에서 자기조절학습이 집단 유형과 과제 유형에 따라 어떠한 학습 효과가 있는지를 실증적으로 분석한 것이다. 웹 기반 협력학습, 인지이론, 과제중심학습 및 학습자 성찰을 연구의 주요 이론적 기저로 삼았다. 여기서는 개인학습과 협력학습을 집단 유형’으로 개념이해형 과제와 지식적용형 과제를 ‘과제 유형’으로 규정하고 두 변인이 자기조절학습에 미치는 효과를 살펴보았다. 과제를 해결하는 과정에 있어서 같은 집단 유형이라도 과제 유형에 따라 메시지 빈도가 다르게 나타났으며, 메시지 항목별로 집단 간 메시지 빈도는 ‘점검 및 협력’ 항목을 제외하고는 모두 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한, 과제해결 수행에 있어서 과제 유형 간에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 집단 유형 간에 유의미한 차이가 있음을 밝혀내었다. 따라서 웹 기반 학습 환경에서 자기조절학습이 효과를 거두려면 자기조절학습을 지원하 는 프로그램이 집단 유형보다는 어떠한 과제 유형을 수행할 것인가를 고려하여 학습자의 자기조절학습을 지원하고 유의미한 학습 경험을 이끌어 내도록 설계해야 할 것이다. The purpose of this research is to investigate how self-regulated learning affect group style and task style in the web-based learning environments. Theoretical framework for the study is based on web-based collaborative learning, cognition theory, task based learning and learner reflection. The importance of the learners' self-regulation in learning has been continuously reviewed by many educational researchers. In addition, it was supported by previous research results. Based on theoretical frameworks and previous researches on self-regulated learning provided design principles and strategies for cognitive tools supporting learner's self-regulative activities. As a result of this study, we have developed and applied to investigate (1) differences between the types of groups and the types of tasks on learner's task solving process, (2) differences between the types of groups and the types of tasks on learner's task solving performance. The two groups of learners regulated differently on concept comprehension and knowledge application task types. The total of 137 graduate students from A University participated in the study for the period of four weeks. Based on the type of self-regulation groups and tasks, participants were divided into four groups such as individual learning-concept comprehension, individual learning-knowledge application, collaborative learning-concept comprehension, and collaborative learning-knowledge application. The result of the study can be summarized as follows: First, in the study, the groups performing the same tasks did not show any differences in message frequencies. Second, for differences between the group performances, individual learners scored higher than collaborative groups in their achievement. For differences between the task types, however, knowledge application learners scored higher than those in concept comprehension.
