        난백 유래 라이소자임의 마우스 살모넬라증에 대한 항균 및 치료 효과

        Salmonellosis is a major bacterial zoonosis that causes self-limited enteritis in animals and foodborne disease and typhoid fever in humans. Recently, multi-drug-resistant strains of Salmonella spp. have increased and caused more serious problems in public health. The present study investigated the antibacterial effects of egg-white lysozyme (EWL) against Salmonella (S.) Typhimurium and the therapeutic effects of EWL for murine salmonellosis. Evaluation of the antibacterial effects of EWL against S. Typhimurium revealed a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of EWL of 6.25 and $300{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. In the bacterial growth inhibition test, EWL at 300 (p < 0.05) and $600{\mu}g/mL$ (p < 0.01) significantly inhibited the growth of S. Typhimurium at 4 h post-incubation. EWL administration at MIC (LYS-1), MBC (LYS-2) and $2{\times}MBC$ (LYS-3) for 14 days resulted in mortality of mice infected with S. Typhimurium of 70, 40 and 10%, respectively, while that of control mice (CON) was 90%. Counts of S. Typhimurium in murine spleens were significantly lower in LYS-2 and LYS-3 than CON (p < 0.05). The results of this study indicate that EWL has the potential for treatment of ICR mice infected with S. Typhimurium.

      • 소아에서의 아급성 괴사성 림프절염의 임상적 고찰

        Background:Subacute necrotizing lymphadenitis or Kikuchi's disease is unknown ethiology and self-limiting process. This disease predominantly affects young women age but rarely affects pediatrics, and usually manifests as lymphadenopathy and fever. Even though this disease is self-limited, benign process, many cases are misidentified as malignant lymphoma. The purpose of this study is to report the clinicopathologic finding, radiological finding and many labolatory test and to compare with characteristics of adult patients in this disease. Meterial and Methods:We reviewed 27 pediarics patients with subacute necrotizing lymphadenitis by excision biopsy or fineneedle aspiration cytology.Result:The most common symptomes were palpation of cervical lymh node(88.9%) and fever(66.7%). The common site of the involvement was cervical lymph node. The multiple involvement was 93% and bilateral involvement was 59%. Leukopenia(52%) and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rates(93%) appeared in abnormal laboratory data. Microscopically, the characteristic finding was the wide area of florid nuclear dusts engulfed by histiocytes and well-circumscrbed area with eosinophilic fibrinoid material. There was a striking degree ofkaryorrhexis and an absence of granulocyte with paucity of plasma cell. All patients recovered with the conservative treatment and there was no specific complication and recurrence. Conclusion : We reviewed pediatric patients with this disease. Characteristics of this disease inpediatric patients were similar to adult patients.

        Ginsenoside 전환이 가능한 인삼 발효 미생물의 선별

        오래전부터 약재로서 이용되어온 인삼(Panax ginseng)은 그 효능이 과학적으로 밝혀지면서 세계적으로 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 그러나, 서양삼에 비해 점차 뒤처지고 있는 우리나라의 인삼산업의 경쟁력 확보를 위해 기능성 식품으로서의 인삼개발이 필요한 실정이다. 발효인삼은 유용한 미생물을 probiotic으로서 공급할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 미생물에 의해 인삼의 ginsenoside 성분이 특이적으로 전환되어 기능적으로 우수한 제품이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 인삼분말만을 영양분으로 한 액체 배지에서 청국장에서 분리된 Bacillus 균주와 유산균의 생장능 및 인삼의 주요 ginsenoside의 전환능력을 알아보았다. 인삼 2.5% (w/v), 1% (w/v)의 인삼분말만을 영양분으로 한 액체배지에서 생장능과 발효 후 ginsenoside의 전환 여부를 확인하였다. 사용한 Bacillus 균주와 유산균 모두 인삼배지에서 $10^{7}\;CFU/ml$을 초과하는 생장능을 보였고, Bacillmus의 경우 ginsenoside $Rg_{1},\;Rb_{1},\;Rb_{2},\;Rc,\;Rd$간에 각 균주마다 특이적인 ginsenoside 전환 반응을 보였다. 따라서, 이 균주들은 발효인삼의 제조를 위한 접종균주로서 이용이 가능하리라 사료된다. Panax ginseng has been drawing world-wide attention since it was used for medicinal purposes and its effects was discovered in scientific manners. However, it is necessary to develope new ginseng products as functional foods to compete with western ginseng. Fermented ginseng could be an excellent solution, where useful probiotics are provided and ginsenosides are specifically transformed to functional forms. In this study, we investigated the growth and ginsenoside biotransformation by 21 Bacillus strains isolated from Chongkukjang and 12 lactic acid bacteria. 2.5% (w/v) and 1% (w/v) of ginseng were used in culture media containing only ginseng powder as a sole nutrient source, and their biotransformation abilities were tested after the growths were checked. All used Bacillus strains and lactic acid bacteria were able to grow well in ginseng powder media at higher levels than $10^{7}\;CFU/ml$. Most of Bacillus strains displayed ginsenoside transformation in a strain-specific manner. Therefore, the results of this study demonstrated that the strains tested in this study could be used as potential starters for the ginseng fermentation.

      • 천식 환자에서 메타콜린 기도 과민성에 미치는 임상적 인자 평가

        Background: Airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) is a key phenotype of asthma. The expression of AHR is known to be variable in asthma patients, but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of clinical characteristics such as smoking history, duration, atopy, total IgE levels, basal lung function, disease severity, and airway inflammation with methacholine AHR in patients with asthma. Method: A total of 109 asthma patients underwent spirometry and methacholine bronchial provocation test (MBPT). According to PC20, asthma patients were classified by mild AHR group (PC20 between 4 to 25 mg/mL) and by severe AHR group (PC20 of less than 4 mg/mL). They gave induced sputum for airway inflammation and serum for total IgE, and atopy were evaluated by the skin prick test to common aeroallergens. Result: Atopy and serum total IgE levels were not significantly different between the two groups. Basal FEV1 was significantly higher in mild AHR group (87.5±14.7%) than in severe AHR group (80.5±17.4%)(P=0.023). In addition, frequencies of severe severity were higher in severe AHR group than in mild AHR group (5.8% vs. 19.3%; P=0.002). The number of neutrophils and eosinophils in induced sputum was enhanced in the former group than in the latter group, although the statistical significances were not found (18.9±88.0 vs. 8.2±8.8×105/g; 7.1±16.6 vs. 2.8±5.9×105/g, respectively). Conclusion: Basal airway obstruction and asthma severity were positively associated with severity of methacholine airway responsiveness in asthma patients.       • 원자층증착법에 의한 TiO<sub>2</sub> 나노파우더 표면의 실리콘 산화물 박막 증착

        염료감응형 태양전지의 효율 향상을 위한 다양한 방법들 중 TiO₂ 나노 파우더의 표면 개질 및 페이스트의 분산성 향상을 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 기존 나노 파우더의 표면 개질법으로는 액상 공정인 졸겔법이 있으나 표면 처리 공정에서의 응집현상은 아직 해결해야 할 과제 중 하나이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 진공증착방법인 ALD법을 이용하여 염료감응형 태양전지용 TiO₂ 나노 파우더의 SiO₂ 산화물 표면처리를 통한 분산특성을 파악하였다. 기존 ALD법의 경우 reactor의 온도가 300{sim}500?C 정도의 고온에서 공정이 이루어졌지만 본 실험에서는 2차 아민계촉매(pyridine)을 사용하여 reactor의 온도를 30?C정도의 저온공정에서 SiO₂ 산화물을 코팅을 하였다. MO source로는 액체상태의 TEOS(Si(OC₂H<sub>5</sub>)₄)를, 반응가스로는 H₂O를 사용하였고, 불활성 기체인 Ar 가스는 purge 가스로 각각 사용 하였다. ALD 공정에 의해 표면처리 된 TiO₂ 나노 파우더의 분산특성은 각 공정 cycle에 따라 FESEM을 통하여 입자의 형상 및 분산성을 확인하였으며 입도 분석기를 통하여 부피의 변화 및 분산 특성을 확인하였다. 공정 cycle 이 증가함에 따라 입자간의 응집현상이 개선되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 100cycles에서 응집현상이 가장 많이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 표면 처리된 SiO₂ 산화막은 XRD를 통한 결정 분석 및 EDX를 통한 정성 분석을 통하여 확인하였다.

        이트라코나졸(itraconazole)액의 첨가물에 의해 발생한 지연형 두드러기 및 혈관부종 1예

        Itraconazole, new triazole agent with a broader antifungal spectrum than fluconazole, has been prescribed widely in the treatment and prophylaxis for fungal infection. Itaconazole has been reported to have gastrointestinal disturbance (4%) and headache (1%) as its most common side-effects. However, allergic reactions caused by this drug are rare. A 53 year-old woman with myelodysplastic syndrome received prophylactic antibiotic therapy including itraconazole solution before chemotherapy. She complained of hive on the face with angioedema at 6 hours after taking them. The symptoms were more aggravated on the next day and reversed by stopping itraconazole solution and injection of antihistamine and steroids. Skin prick tests with itraconazole solution, itraconazole tablet, and ketoconazole showed all the negative responses. The oral challenge test with itraconazole solution was performed and resulted in urticaria and angioedema 6 hours later. Next, the oral challenge test with intraconazole tablet was performed and showed negative response. The patient was finally diagnosed as adverse reaction by additives contained intraconazole solution. We report, a case of delayed onset urticaria and angioedema caused by components of itraconazole solution. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2014;2:138-141)

        Mastocytosis is a rare disease characterized by pathologically increased mast cells in various tissues. Cutaneous mastocytosis, the most common manifestation of the mastocytosis, is confined to the skin without involvement of the other organs. Cutaneous mastocytosis is mostly found in children. It usually presents as symmetrically distributed red-brown macules or papules. Wheals and erythema may often develop with pruritus if mechanical irritations such as stroking (Darier`s sign), heat or sudden change of temperature are given to the skin lesions. Clinical symptoms include flushing, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylaxis, peptic ulcer disease, abdominal pain, diarrhea and bone pain caused by the release of mast cell mediators. We report a case of adult-onset cutaneous mastocytosis that presented as generalized urticaria developed after hot bath. (Korean J Asthma Allergy Clin Immunol 2005;25:328-332)

        장애학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용 교과교육이 예비특수교사의 스마트러닝 교수효능감에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 예비특수교사의 스마트러닝 교수효능감 현황과 장애학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용에 대한 교과교육이 예비특수교사의 스마트러닝 교수효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 먼저, 특수교육 교과교육 강의를 수강한 예비특수교사들을 대상으로 스마트러닝 교수효능감 실태를 조사하였다. 그리고 실험집단 예비특수교사들에게 장애학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용 교육을 시행하고, 실험집단과 통제집단의 스마트러닝 교수효능감의 변화를 비교하였다. 연구결과 예비특수교사들은 스마트러닝 개인적 교수효능감에 비해 일반적 교수효능감이 낮게 나타났으며, 장애학생을 위한 스마트기기 활용에 대한 교과교육은 예비특수교사들의 개인적 교수효능감과 일반적 교수효능감의 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of smart learning teaching efficacy of pre-service special education teachers and the effect of subject instruction using smart devices for students with disabilities on smart learning teaching efficacy of pre-service special education teachers. This study investigated the actual state of smart learning teaching efficacy of pre-service special education teachers who took special education subject instruction classes. In addition, it provided pre-service special education teachers of experimental group with education for the use of smart devices for students with disabilities, and compared the changes in smart learning teaching efficacy of experimental group with those of control group. As a result of the study, the pre-service special education teachers showed lower general teaching efficacy than the smart learning personal teaching efficacy, and that subject instruction using smart devices for students with disabilities had a positive effect on the change in personal teaching efficacy and general teaching efficacy of pre-service special education teachers.
