H₂, CO, CH₄ 공기 예혼합 화염의 연소속도 예측을 위한 글로벌 메커니즘 개발

The global reaction mechanisms that can properly predict laminar burning velocity (LBV) of H₂, CO, and CH₄ air premixed mixtures at 300 K and 1 bar were developed step-by-step by comparing the GRI 3.0 mechanism. The optimum activation energies of the single-step mechanisms for H₂ and CO mixtures were derived and applied to CH₄ reaction mechanisms. The developed four-step mechanism of CH₄ flames showed good agreement with GRI 3.0 mechanism in the fuel-lean side. To get acceptable LBV in the fuel-rich side, additional heat absorption reaction was necessary. Hence, six-step reaction mechanism was developed and could acquire the reliable LBV in the entire equivalence ratio range.
자궁경부암 세포에 시스플라틴이 소포체 스트레스에 미치는 영향

목적: 항암제 시스플라틴의 세포독성 기전은 활성산소종과 lipid peroxydation의 증가와 DNA adduct의 형성 등이 알려져 있다. 이 연구에서는 시스플라틴이 자궁경부암 세포인 Hela 세포에서 과량의 NO와 세포 내 칼슘 이온의 농도 증가를 통해 소포체 스트레스 관련 단백질들의 발현을 증가시킴을 확인하고자 하였다. 연구방법: Hela세포는 시스플라틴으로 처리하였고 다음으로 소포체 스트레스 반응은 western blot, Flow cytometry, fluorescence 분석을 이용하여 측정하였다. 결과: 시스플라틴에 의해 유도되어지는 세포자멸사 현상은 유도성 NO 합성효소의 특이적 억제제인 1400 W와 세포 내 칼슘이온 소거제인 1, 2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane-N,N,N`,N`-tetraacetic acid tetra-(acetoxymethyl) ester에 의해 감소되었다. 이러한 약물들은 또한 미토콘드리아의 막전위를 회복시킴으로써 미토콘드리아에 의한 세포자멸사 신호전달은 억제하였다. 결론: 시스플라틴에 의한 세포자멸사 현상은 초기 시간대의 칼슘이온 농도의 증가와 그에 따른 미토콘드리아에 의한 세포자멸사 신호전달체계에 의해 유도되며, 이때 소포체가 중요하게 관여되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. Objective: Cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (cisplatin) is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent. A number of evidences in cytotoxic mechanism of cisplatin, including perturbation of redox status, increase in lipid peroxydation, formation of DNA adduct, have been suggested. The author hypothesized that cisplatin would mediate apoptosis via endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in human cervical cancer cell. Methods: Human cervical cancer cell line (Hela cells) were treated with cisplatin and then ER stress-related response were performed using western blot, Flow cytometry and fl uorescence analysis. Results: After addition of cisplatin to Hela cells, the author observed an expression of ER stress response genes through a gradual increase of nitric oxide and cytosolic Ca2+ concentration. Cisplatin-induced apoptosis can be inhibited by the inducible nitric oxide synthase inhibitor, 1400 W, and intracellular Ca2+ chelator, 1, 2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane-N,N,N`,N`-tetraacetic acid tetra-(acetoxymethyl) ester (BAPTA-AM). These inhibitors also reduced mitochondrial apoptotic signals, such as mitochondrion membrane potential disruption, cytochrome c release and eventually reduced the death of Hela cells. Conclusion Taken together, ER would seem to contribute to cisplatin-induced apoptosis via both the early release of Ca2+ and the late amplifi cation of mitochondria-mediated apoptotic signals.
고압 CO2/O2 주위류 조건에서 소염 근처 micro 확산화염 거동 연구

Micro diffusion flame characteristics near extinction were studied using three nozzles. Experiment was conducted by changing oxidant concentration and numerical computation was performed to investigate flame-nozzle thermal interaction. The flame position relative to the nozzle was changed according to the nozzle size and oxidant type, as did the flame-nozzle interactions. Pressure effect on flame quenching up to 10bar was investigated. As pressure increased, the quenching fuel flow rate decreased, indicating that lower limit of the flame stabilization can be widened.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out whether Herba Ephedrae, solely used, and Herbal medicine in which this was included, have inhibitory effects of Nitric Oxide(NO). Methods : We tested the inhibitory effects of Nitric Oxide(NO) with Herba Ephedrae and ten kinds of Herbal medicine combined with Herba Ephedrae(Worlbikachul-Tang, 越婢加朮湯; Mahaengkamsuk-Tang, 麻杏甘石湯; Shinbi-Tang, 神秘湯; Mahwangbujaseshin-Tang, 麻黃附子細辛湯; Euiin-Tang, 薏苡仁湯; Galgeun-Tang, 葛根湯; Mahaengeuigam-Tang, 麻杏薏甘湯; Mahwang-Tang, 麻黃湯; Socheongryong-Tang, 小靑龍湯; Gaemagakban-Tang, 桂麻各半湯) on RAW264.7 cells. Results and Conclusions : 1. We carried out MTT assay on Herba Ephedrae and those decoctions including this in order to determine whether they accommodate cotytoxicity. The results were that Worlbikachul-Tang, Mahaengkamsuk-Tang, Mahwangbujaseshin-Tang, Mahaengeuigam-Tang, Mahwang-Tang, Socheongryong-Tang and Gaemagakban-Tang showed no cytotoxicity on RAW264.7 with 0.1mg/ml and 0.5mg/ml dosages of decoctions but displayed cytotoxicity on the cell with 1mg/ml. Solely used Herba Ephedrae, Shinbi-Tang, Euiin-Tang and Galgeun-Tang exhibited cytotoxicity beyond the concentration of 0.5mg/ml. 2. Worlbikachul-Tang, Mahaengkamsuk-Tang, Shinbi-Tang, Mahwangbujaseshin-Tang, Euiin-Tang, Galgeun-Tang, Mahaengeuigam-Tang, Mahwang-Tang and Socheongryong-Tang showed inhibition of NO production but solely used Herba Ephedrae and Gaemagakban-Tang did not exhibit such reaction.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective methods of treatment for tinnitus. Methods : We inquired about 33 cases of tinnitus patients visited the Ik-san Oriental Medical Hospital of Wonkwang University from March 1, 2008 to May 30, 2009. We examined the 33 cases in the view of sex, age, occupation, duration, number of visits, cause, associating symptoms, quality of tinnitus, frequency of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and recovery rate after treatment. Results and Conclusions : In 21 cases of tinnitus patients among the 33 cases, it was improved. Total recovery rate was 63.6%. This case study presents clinical possibility of acupuncture and herbal medicine and moxa for the treatment of tinnitus.

Background and Objective : Wrinkle treatment with oriental medicine is popular these days. But there are few reports about it. This study is performed to introduce wrinkle treatment with oriental medicine. Methods : We searched the oriental literature and reports related with wrinkles and wrinkle treatment. We study about treatment methods with Oriental Medicine like herbal medicines, acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, etc. Result and Conclusions : Among the treatment method, acupuncture seems to use wound care mechanism. We propose oriental medicine as an effective and beneficial therapy for wrinkle treatment.
폐경기 골다공증 여성에 있어서 Alendronate 치료에 대한 골교체의 생화학적 표지자의 평가

N/A Objectives: To evaluate the clinical utility of recently developed biochemical markers of bone turnover to monitor the response of osteoporotic patients to antiresorptive therapy, we compared the results of two advanced assays for markars of bone resorption and two of bone formation. Subjects and Methods: The rate of bone turnover in 37 women (mean±SD age, 58.2±4.5yr) with low boe mass and all postmenopausal women (mean±SD yr PMP, 8.3±5.2) was compared to that in 16 Premenopausal women(mean+SD age, 40.2±5.3yr) randomly selected from out-patient in our hospital and all have a normal spine bone mineral density(BMD). Perodically during the 12-month study,the level of several markers of bone turnover wen, measured. Serum osteocalcin, bone specific alkaline phosphatase mesured by RIA were used to assess bone formation. To assess bone resorption, we measured urinary excretion of Dedxypyridinoline, type l collagen cross-linked N- telopeptide, Result: All bone formation markers and all bone resorption marker were significantly increased in PMP Osteoporotic women. Under treatment with alendronate, resorption markers decreased earlier than marker of bone formation, Conclusion: This study, using biochemical markers of bone turnover, demonstrates that bone turnover is increased in PMP osteoporotic women. Alendronate treatment decreased bone turnover to the normal premenopausal range, with a steady state level reached after 1 month of therapy with 10mg for resorption markers and after 3-6 months of therapy for markers of bone formation.

Objective: To determine the effects of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) on embryonal development in in vitro culture. Methods: This is designed in vitro model using eggs from mouse. The eggs from mouse were assigned 29 for control group, 53 for 20 ng/ml of LIF, 88 for 40 ng/ml of LIF, 68 for 80 ng/ml of LIF respectively for in vitro fertilization. And 26 fertilized eggs at 2 cell stage from mouse also were assigned. The mouse embryos of all groups were cultured in medium supplemented with LIF in different concentrations, whereas the eggs in control group was cultured in medium without supplement of LIF. Results: At 72 hours culture of eggs from in vitro fertilization, there was a slight increas in rate of embryonal development to morula in both LIF-20 and LIF-40 as results of 64.15% and 75% respectively, while 42.65% in inferior rate of LIF-80, compare with 51.72% in control group. But the difference between these each groups were not significant in statistically ($p{\le}0.05$). And after 96 hours culture of eggs, the rates blastocyst formation was significantly higher in both LIF-20 and LIF-40 as 56.6% and 63.63% than those in control and LIF-80 as 44.83% and 35.29% respectively. On culturing eggs from in vivo fertilization, the rates of blastocyst formation was significantly not only higher as 85% and 81.81% respectively in medium supplemented with LIF-40 and LIF-80 than 42.3% in LIF-20 but also embryonal cell viability were remakedly improved at 96 hours after culture. Conclusion: The LIF in low dose is embryotrophic, but LIF in high dose is embryotoxic on eggs from in vitro fertilization. Whereas on culturing eggs from in vivo fertilization, LIF is more beneficial with dose dependent in high concentration.
