        정전가미이진탕(正傳加味二陳湯)이 흰쥐의 위배출능(胃排出能)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Background & Objective : The herbal medicine JGT has been used for the treatment of functional dyspepsia, generally categorized as a gastric disease. However, its effect and mechanism are not yet well known. Therefore, the effects of JGT on gastric emptying in rats was investigated to know its effectiveness and mechanism. Methods : Gastric emptying effect was measured by the number of glass beads expelled from the stomach within an hour after glass beads and test drugs were administered. In another series of experiments to evaluate the mechanisms of JGT under delayed conditions, the rats were treated with atropine sulfate Results : Intragastric administration of JGT significantly increased gastric emptying of glass beads Under the gastric emptying delayed with atropine sulfate, JGT insignificantly increased gastric emptying of glass beads. Conclusions : These suggest that JGT has a significant effect to stimulate gastric emptying. Results are indicative of JGT as an especially effective remedy for dysmotility-like functional dyspepsia with impaired reservoir function such as gastric adaptive relaxation.

        無調音樂 作曲書法과 韓國人의 藝術精神

        As a desert is nothing but a useless land in one side, but it is also a valuable land which has lots of underground resources on the other side. Esthetical inside of atonal of atonality disposition has a artistic beauty which belong to different dimension of the spiritual eye(心眼) and spiritual ear(心耳). It is same as 'symmetry of unsymmetry' or 'balance of unbalance', and it also means that the thing cannot be seen as we try to see it(觀而不見) and cannot be heard as we try to hear it(聽而不聞). All the elements of esthetical beauty is also unified into 'the beauty of Golden Ratio', as everything is reduced to one. This thesis analogizes such esthetical beauty by the fundamental principle of "0.618" (Ex.4) which is based on the studies of the Korean's favour of white light and their creative consciousness, and the variation and order of four season; Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Korean likes white color more than any other colors and they have traditional thought that nature is taken as it is. Studies of "0.618" (Ex.4) and 'the beauty of unsymmetry' are also regarded as one of atonality-method which is revived by creative law of God, the Creator. As the picture is the silent music, the ridges of winding, high and low mountains make a line(curved line) and the line makes a music which is the Korean arts using every live of things. The elements of the plastic space represent the atonality music which is an art of time and the movable calligraphy, that is a series of flowing connected to 'mountain ranges to mountain ranges', 'mind to mind', and 'line to line', tell about the Korean spirit of art. The progress of all of the universal things changes by antithetical indispensability in nature phenomenon(物極必反). The composition method of the beauty of unsymmetry, and 'the beauty of unbalance' are found more than that of 'the beauty of balance', central idea which is called 'a-b-a' in the atonality music. In case of Ex.5, 7, 8, 9, 10, it is available to the representation of mental images of calligraphy. As I mention it in my studies, a general problem of most contemporary artists is a spiritual poverty resulted by material richness. For this reason, this thesis is one of an effort to get over such spiritual poverty, Physical method would be worried to reduce the beauty of pure art according to Taegae's theory principles of the noumenon(理氣). So I concentrate more in this study on the metaphysical side of music, because the physical one decrease the pure artistic beauty.

        Avant-grade composers are researching anew and are differentating a range of creative music through various field facing each other in contemporary society. If we think from the viewpoint of "Playing and Understanding Contemporary Music" some performers who play contemporary music are interested in avant -grade music In the case of playing as of they do not understand the meaning of the music, and also some performers seem to dislike the avant-grade music. In the case of playing as if they do not understand the meaning of the music, this is mostly caused by defects of avant-grade composers. We think that composition of contemporary music is difficult, because of the creative work required the metaphysical technique of atonal and 12-tone, and the requirements of technique which make not a plater(plating without meaning thought ect.) but a performer(plating with image, thought, feeling etc.) that's the responsibility of composers, and composing music without thought(ideology) is meaningless creation In curious field of contemporary music, that instrument is the machine, of course, <Ensembles for Synthesizer> 1964 of Milton Babbitt and <Gesang der Junglinge Deustche Grammophone DG 138811> of Karlheinz Stockhausen are exceprions. As avant-grade composers could create a new style, it is a significantly different work among Bartok, Stravinsky and the other avant-grade composers including myself. Brotok and stravinsky's musical styles were seemingly related to folk idioms in the first half of the twentieth century, but my avant-grade style is related to and employs the text of the traditional Oriental painting abd its idioms utilize them to create new styles The Four Gracious Plants was representative of sense equilivrium of paintings and plastic art (a conception of the key center is gradually weak and the traditional key center breakdown so that the paintings can be explained by the equally significant keynote sound of the 12-tone or atonal). according to this theory, we can realize the meaning of 12-tone method or atonal technique in creative composition of the avant-garde century. As we understand the meaning of the avant-grade music, the proposed woodwind Quintet is created, to be composed on the philosophical thought of the oriental painting, the Four Gracious(Plum, orchid, chrysantthemum, and bamboo). it is not the repeating of old-fashioned wording, but different dimensional art that thoroughly studies perfection and passes on this creation to one’s descendants. hance, we can accept uprightly this creation’s meaning. In my point of view, creating over thought and ideology is a perfect realization of meaning, so that the painting appears in its original beauty of meaning, and that’s the music that the true contemporary(avant-grade) requires. In creative composing, composers of contemporary music always have a feeling and change so that they adapt to the contemporary. therefore, continuously, the viewpoint of oriental thought and may contribute to the fluency of artistic civilization.

      • 無調音樂 創作書法에 관한 硏究 : The presentation of a writing method of the atonality disposition according to the Oriental painting 無調性의 出現根據와 東洋繪晝에 의한 書法提示

        It has been possible to vaguely understand through the idea of the Oriental painting that the world with the continued repeat, chang and order of all things in the universe and blooming and falling flowers is the arts and world of harmony rather than science. The oriental art is to understand the natural world and all its things including human beings on the basis of their mutually organic relations. While the Western music is scientific, the Oriental one is static to pursue not the scientific world but an aesthetic stage, which is the unified art having the mutual consensus among writing, paintings and music according to an aesthetic basis by examining the orginal character of thinking. It can be understood that these characteristics of the Oriental art are different from those of the western art. The western music world when its musical art attained the highest perfection centering around tonality, was arrested by W. R. Wagner. After Occidental civilization was spread to the Orient and oriental old books were introduced into the West with the remarkably changing history, however, C. A. Debussy of impressionism used both mysterious sound of the Orient and aesthetic and mental elements for his creative activities so that the direction was suddenly turned. The basic power of his expression idiom was based on the nature which was the theme of C. Monet and impressionist painters. Also, the consensus of the deep-feeling with gamelan music resulted from those mysterious mental elements of the Orient while mastering the aesthetic feeling of the spiritual ear based on natural mystery because the Oriental painitings or ideas emphasized nature. As a result, it caused an imagination beyond reality so that atonality music with tone color could be created instead of tonality. From the standpoint of artisitic mental, there was a very intimately consensus between A. Schoenberg and W. Kandinsky which was unified into a different type of art from combination of visual abstract paintings and aural atonality so that their unification of artistry was considered as the key position essential for the Western art history in the 20th century. Regarding the expression idiom of C. A. Debussy, A. Schoenberg, J. Cage and O. Messiaen and others, atonality showed a different degree of art featuring combination of wider 'Symmetry of Unsymmetry' which was free from the center of opposed and limited axis in the main key center and fifth-sounds as the extreme things required and antithetical indispensability in natural phenomenon, the scale of expression was expended in the transcendental area of atonality disposition rather than thonality disposition. As showed the etymology that the extreme things required and antithetical indispensability, according to the circulating principle of all things in the universe, the Western creative world focused on the meaningful classic of the Orient, when the world having been attracted by the chromatism or chromatic freedom principle new sound instead of musical theme or melody. Therefore, on stroke of a denoument was made on with Wagner as its starting point from the symmetrical beauty structure such as KA-NA-KA(A-B-A ; Exposition-Development-Recapitulation). Finally, the musical art with atonality found its way out to the aesthetic expression of spiritual ears and eyes by using its unsymmetry, in which both Oriental class and painting idea played an important role as stated earlier. Although a desert outwardly seems to be a useless land, it contains a lot of invisible resources. Similarly, this atonality with tonality as symmetry with unsymmetry includes the original characteristics of art which are invisible and can not be heard. When the writing method of spiritual eyes and ears is mastered, it seems that an expression can be done not by description, but by feeling. Although there may a difference according to persons in the creative art world of atonality music, a question is caused whenever hearing such sayings as Korean or racial type from the persons or artists who are faced with the atonality music. The important suggestion concerning the writing method in this study is not to show the creative method by combining the Korean or Oriental people's original wind and stringed instruments with the vivid realtune or orchestra of national classical music, but to indicate its writing method within the range available to create an aesthetic expression. The Western composers turned their eyes to a non-western type of new sound because they mastered th principle of composing and writing methods which have a differnet level of wider and unlimited fields beyond their limited aesthetic expression from the mentality of the Orient caused by their mental poverty.

        Pretreatment of the methanolic extract(250-500mg/kg, p.o., two weeks) of Lysimachiae Herba prevented the elevation of ALT and AST activities in galactosamine(GalN, 400 mg/kg, i.p.) intoxicated rats. Its five fractions, especially the ethyl acetate fraction, also showed significant preventing actions on damaged liver metabolizing enzyme functions by GalN intoxication.

        과민성장증후군 환자의 정전가미이진탕(正傳加味二陳湯) 투여(投與) 1례(例)

        The irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is the most common gastrointestinal disorder in clinical practice and is characterized by abdominal pain associated with a chronic disturbance of defecation. The subject is a-69-year-old man who has abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea. anorexia. general weakness and has been diagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome. We diagnosed this patient as the Gastrointestinal Phlegm(食痰) and prescribed Jengjengamiyijin-tang (Zhengchuanjiaweierchen-tang). In the result, we had improvement of his symptoms.

        Testosterone에 의한 승홍의 신독성 유발에 의한 연구

        Mercuric chloride, inorganic compound, is one of the most important drugs that has been used in the field of argriculture, antisyphilitica and anticeptics, but it is not used clinically at present. We have studied the effect of testosterone on the mercuric chlorideinduced nephrotoxicity. Renal lipid peroxide concentration of male rat treated with mercuric chloride was significantly increased in comparison with that of the female rat, it showed similar effects on testosterone pretreatment. Changes in renal catalase and glutathione peroxidase activities were not siginificantly different in testosterone-treated groups. But, renal xanthine oxidase and aldehyde oxidase activities of testrosterone-treated group given mercuric chloride significantly increased in comparison with that of the testosterone-treated alone. Animals treated with testosterone prior to mercuric chloride showed more severe damage on histological observations than those treated with testosterone only. Consequently, we suggest that the mercuric chloride-induced nephrotoxicity might be renal lipid peroxide generating enzyme system by testosterone.
