The concept of perivascular myomas was recently proposed to designate perivascular myoid tumors arising from pleuripotent perivascular cells like smooth muscle cell cells, pericytes and glomus cell. They represent a histological continuum between three categories; myofibromatosis, glomangiopericytoma and myopericytoma. Myopericytoma is a rare, soft tissue tumor that primarily occurs in the skin and the subcutaneous and soft tissues of the extremities, but very few cases have been reported in other locations, which occurred in our present case. We herein report on a rare case of myopericytoma that developed on an unusual location, that is, the ear. The patient was a 35-year-old man who had a painless, slowly-growing red nodule on the upper auricle of the right ear for 5 years. The nodule was revealed to be a well-circumscribed mass composed of round to oval cells that strongly expressed smooth muscle actin. These cells were arranged in the concentrically multilayered pattern and they were surrounded by small to medium-sized vessels. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(11):1304~1308)
현대직조에 미친 바우하우스의 영향 : 직조공방을 중심으로

In modern times, art, design and craft actively interact with one another; in particular, woven fabric is an item that has many benefits to flexibly respond to change of time and periodic characteristics of each time. Textile, which has under gone constant transformation and evolution along the human history, has colorful and multi-faceted properties whether for artistic or for practical purposes, for its variety of materials, weaving methods, forms and colors. In particular, woven fabric of the 20th century has shown dramatic changes and growth as it was used as ornamental wall tapestry, three-dimensional work of art, and for industrial needs. Such transformation has been profoundly affected by emergence of new materials due to scientific and industrial development as well as contemporary art styles. This research focuses on the Bauhaus weaving workshop that greatly contributed to setting a new direction for woven fabric, breaking a way from the traditional paths. The Bauhaus disapproved of ‘art for art’ and advocated integration of art and craft; it attempted to bring together all forms of art based on craft. Supporters of the Bauhaus felt a need to have close network with modern figurative concepts and production facilities to realize their educational ideology. Accordingly, they conducted education on forms taught by artists such as Johannaes Itten, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky, as well as craft education by skillful craftsmen. Such curricula sometimes confused students, and yet it motivated them to create new kinds of fabric through innovative and creative process. Their influence permeated the United States and all through the Europe even after the Bauhaus closed down. This research focuses on teachers that had much influence on the Bauhaus and other fabric workshops and major fabric artists who worked as a bridge to connect Bauhaus advocates with the next generation. The Bauhaus’s direct and indirect influence on fabric artists who were active in the 20th century is also examined. By rediscovering long-lasting impact of the short-lived Bauhaus on art, design and craft fields, there search is expected to contribute to setting a future direction for fiber art.
차량용 알고리즘 테스트를 위한 가상의 가랑비 영상 생성

본 논문에서는 차량용 알고리즘 테스트를 위한 가상의 가랑비 영상 생성 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 차량용 알고리즘을 테스트 하는 경우 조명 및 기상 환경의 제약조건이 많이 따른다. 때문에 다양한 조명 및 기상환경에서 실험할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 환경이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 가상의 기상환경 중 가랑비 영상 생성 방법을 제안한다. 구체적으로는 컴퓨터가 생성한 가상영상 대신에 실제 가랑비의 컬러 특성(color property)과 경계값 특성(edge property)을 분석한 결과를 토대로 가상의 가랑비를 생성하였다. 실험을 통해 실제 가랑비 영상과 생성된 가상의 가랑비 영상은 픽셀 값의 분포로 비교한 결과 두 영상이 아주 유사함을 확인하였다.
