In this study, the relationship between organic carbon distribution characteristics and decomposition rate classified according to the particle size and biological degradation characteristics in water was investigated for the Nam river and Geumho river. The average concentrations of TOC in the Nam river and Geumho river were 2.7±1.2 ㎎/L and 5.0±1.2 ㎎/L, respectively, but the composition ratios for each type of organic carbon were similar. A n average value of 8 0.9% o f TOC was p resent a s DOC and 7 2.8% o f DOC consisted of Refractory-DOC (RDOC). In addition, the change in the RDOC composition ratio according to temporal and spatial distribution was the smallest. There was no difference in the decomposition rate of organic carbon except for TOC by the site (p≥0.108, one-way ANOVA), and the decomposition rates of Labile-POC (LPOC) and LDOC were similar at 0.139±0.102 and 0.137±0.149 day -1, respectively (p=0.110, paired t-test). The coefficient of variation (CV) of the decomposition rate of DOC (average 8.1%), which had the smallest composition ratio of organic carbon, was 1.1, showing the largest temporal variation. The TOC, POC, and DOC decomposition rates showed a significant correlation with the ratio of the initial concentration to the concentration after 25 days of decomposition (OC25/OC0) (r2=0.89~0.94, p<0.001), and the decomposition rates of LPOC and LDOC were significantly correlated with the ratio of the initialconcentration to the concentration after 5 days of decomposition (LOC5/LOC0) (r2=0.67~0.75). This suggeststhat it is possible to estimate the decomposition rate through the concentration of each type of organic carbon.

From a comparative perspective, this study analyzes conflict of interest regulation in Korea, the U. S. and Japan, and gropes for some alternative ways for institutionalizing it in the public sector. It identifies normative bases and key institutional components of conflict of interest statutes and laws; analyzes comparatively their presence in those countries; and suggests practical measures for effectively controlling public officials' unethical behavior resulted from venal conflicts of interest, distilling policy implications from the research results. While conflict of interest regulation depends to a degree on political structure and culture of a country, this study emphasizes a more creative and innovative approach to it, and recommends reform measures regarding the scope of prohibited interests, conflict of interest situations, remedies for conflict of interest, and penalties for violations.

High temperature superconducting coated conductor has a structure of <protecting layer>/<superconducting layer>/<buffer layer>/<metallic substrate>. The buffer layer consists of multi-layer, this study reports the deposition method and optimal deposition conditions of YSZ(Yttria-stabilized zirconia) layer which plays a important part in preventing the elements of substrate from diffusing into the superconducting layer. YSZ layer was deposited by DC reactive sputtering technique using water vapor for oxidizing deposited elements on substrate. To investigate optimal thickness of YSZ film, four YSZ/CeO$_2$/Ni samples with different YSZ thickness(130 nm, 260 nm, 390 nm, and 650 nm) were prepared. The SEM image showed that the surface of YSZ layer was getting to be rougher as YSZ layer was getting thicker and the growth mode of YSZ layer was columnar grain growth. After CeO$_2$ layer was deposited with the same thickness of 18.3 nm on each four samples, YBCO layer was deposited by PLD method with the thickness of 300 nm. The critical currents of four samples were 0, 6 A, 7.5 A, and 5 A respectively. This shows that as YSZ layer is getting thicker, YSZ layer plays a good role as a diffusion barrier but the surface of YSZ layer is getting rougher.

현미경은 ‘물체의 미세한 부분을 확대하여 관찰하는 도구 또는 장치'를 말한다. 우리 주변에서 물체를 보다 자세히 관찰하기 위하여 손쉽게 구할 수 있는 것은 확대경이다. 따라서 확대경은 가장 간단한 현미경인 셈이다.<br/> 인류역사에서 현미경의 기원을 찾는다면 확대경의 재료인 유리를 사용한 기원전 4,500년 이전부터라고 할 수 있다. 유리를 사용하여온 인류는 11세기경 렌즈를 제작하였고 나아가서 망원경 개발로 이어져 인간에게 더 먼 시야를 제공하였다. 이후 현미경의 개발로 미시세계에 눈을 뜨게 된 인류는 물리, 화학생물, 재료 분야뿐만 아니라 의학 분야 발전에 큰 변화를 가져오게 되었다. 현재 현미경은 물체를 구성하는 원자를 볼 수 있을 정도로 발전하였고 이로 인해 나노 시대에 가장 중요한 도구로 활용되고 있다.<br/> 현미경은 가장 간단한 구조의 확대경에서 광학현미경, 전자현미경 원자현미경 등으로 발전되어 왔다. 또한사용 목적 및 방법에 따라 다앙한 종류의 현미경, 즉 금속현미경, 편광현미경 형광현미경, 위상 차현미경, 자외선현미경, 이온현미경 등이 개발되어 왔다.
The assembly of a fully functional microcolumn and its STEM mode operation

A fully functional microcolumn composed of an electron emitter, micro-lenses, a double octupole de ector, and an Einzel lens was successfully assembled and operated in the STEM mode. We used a precise alignment method based on laser diraction through circular apertures instead of the conventional alignment method. This microcolumn was operated at a low energy of 300 eV. The scan range of the focused electron beam was around 80 m, and the beam current was measured to be 2 nA at the sample, which was 1.2 mm from the focusing lens. The results of the STEM-mode operation, both using the retarding and the accelerating mode, are reported.
