Objective : Individuals with anxiety disorders experience a wide range of time to seeking treatment (TST) as well as various comorbid mental disorders. The present study examined the TST in social anxiety disorder (SAD) and panic disorder. This study aimed to find out the influence of comorbid mental disorder on TST of anxiety disorder through the comparison of SAD and panic disorder. Methods : This study included 311 SAD and 378 panic disorder patients at the initial visit of psychiatric clinic. Contribution of clinical (number of comorbidity, comorbid type and onset age) and demographic (current age) factors to TST were investigated by multivariate analysis. Results : The median length of TST was 14.03 years in SAD and 2.26 years in panic disorder. In social anxiety disorder, fewer comorbidity, younger onset age, and older age were factors associated with delayed TST. In panic disorder, only younger onset age was associated with delayed TST. In both disorders, comorbid depressive disorder was associated with shorter TST. Conclusion : Our data provided the differences in illness behavior needing help based on comorbid mental disorders between SAD and panic disorder. In addition to comorbid disorder, factors affecting TST of anxiety disorder requires future investigation.
Aldose reductase inhibitory activity of the methanol extracts from Korean folk plants

To search for the aldose reductase (AR) inhibitors from Korean folk plants, the inhibition of rat lens AR in vitro using the methanol (MeOH) extracts from Korean folk plants was investigated. Among fifty four Korean folk plants tested, the MeOH extract of Cedrela sinensis showed highest inhibition of AR ($IC_{50}$ value, 2.52 ${\mu}g/ml$). The plant C. sinensis has a possibility of new natural resources for the development of AR inhibitor for the prevention of diabetic complications.
Lignan contents in Acanthopanax senticosus by HPLC

A reverse-phase system of HPLC using a linear gradient of acetonitrile and deionized water was developed for the quantification lignans, eleutherosides B and E, in Acanthopanax senticosus. The HPLC system consisted of linear gradient of acetonitrile and deionized water, and UV/VIS detection was set at 210 nm. Both eleutherosides B and E contents in different parts of A. senticosus were determined. As a result, the contents of eleutherosides B and E were measured in the leaves (trace amounts and 0.029 mg/g, respectively), stems (0.107 and 1.015 mg/g, respectively), roots (0.026 and 0.390 mg/g, respectively), and fruits (0.022 and 0.043 mg/g, respectively). Moreover, eleutherosides B and E in the water extract were found 0.011 and 0.171 mg/g, respectively.
인터넷 뉴스 인용을 이용한 국내 경제연구기관 영향력에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate citation behavior in internet news to research papers of 10 domestic economic institutes and to suggest institutes' impact quantitatively with h-index and various modified indices. Content analysis of 878 news articles that collected from NAVER news site was performed. First, as citing behavior, cited numbers of research papers, preferred news media, speed, source entry accuracy, centrality, subject section, and length by the institutes were examined. Next, impact indices for institutes were calculated by cited numbers using h-index, g-index, $h_s$-index, and $g_s$-index, and the ranking of 10 research institutes were determined by each impact indices. As a result, institutes belonged to upper ranks showed little variation among the different indices. On the other hand, institutes belonged to middle and lower ranks showed variations in impact indices and experts' survey. 본 연구는 국내 주요 10개 경제연구기관의 보고서를 대상으로 인터넷 뉴스에서의 인용 행태를 분석하고 각 기관의 영향력을 h-지수와 다양한 변형 지수(g-지수, $h_s$-지수, $g_s$-지수)로 제시하였다. 이를 위해 네이버 뉴스에서 기사를 검색하여 총 878건에 대한 기사의 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 먼저, 보고서 인용 기사 수, 뉴스매체, 주제 섹션, 신속성, 정확성, 중심성, 기사 길이 등을 중심으로 인용행태를 분석하였다. 다음으로 인용 건수로 영향력을 산출하여 기관 순위를 비교하였다. 분석 결과 인용 지수 순위가 상위권에 속한 기관들은 지수 간의 순위 차이가 거의 없었고, 전문가가 제시한 순위와도 유사한 반면, 중 하위권의 기관들은 상대적으로 지수에 따라 차이가 나고, 전문가 순위와 다른 양상을 보였다.

The increasing temperature in Arctic tundra deepens the active layer, which is the upper layer of permafrost soil that experiences repeated thawing and freezing. The increasing of soil temperature and the deepening of active layer seem to affect soil microbial communities. Therefore, information on soil microbial communities at various soil depths is essential to understand their potential responses to climate change in the active layer soil. We investigated the community structure of soil bacteria in the active layer from moist acidic tundra in Council, Alaska. We also interpreted their relationship with some relevant soil physicochemical characteristics along soil depth with a fine scale (5 cm depth interval). The bacterial community structure was found to change along soil depth. The relative abundances of Acidobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria, Planctomycetes, and candidate phylum WPS-2 rapidly decreased with soil depth, while those of Bacteroidetes, Chloroflexi, Gemmatimonadetes, and candidate AD3 rapidly increased. A structural shift was also found in the soil bacterial communities around 20 cm depth, where two organic (upper Oi and lower Oa) horizons are subdivided. The quality and the decomposition degree of organic matter might have influenced the bacterial community structure. Besides the organic matter quality, the vertical distribution of bacterial communities was also found to be related to soil pH and total phosphorus content. This study showed the vertical change of bacterial community in the active layer with a fine scale resolution and the possible influence of the quality of soil organic matter on shaping bacterial community structure.

The goal of this study is to experimentally observe the autoignition phenomena of a diesel/1-butanol mixture droplet in ambient pressure and $700^{\circ}C$ condition. A volume ratio of 1-butanol in the fuel was set to 25, 50 and 75%. A single droplet was installed at the tip of fine thermocouple, and the electric furnace dropped down to make elevated temperature condition. Droplet behavior during the experiment could be divided into 3 stages including droplet heating, puffing and autoignition/combustion. Puffing process intensively observed for the case of 1-butanol volume ratio of 25 and 50%, but did not occur at 75%. Increase of 1-butanol volume ratio hindered rise of the droplet temperature and delayed ignition. In addition, puffing process also affected on autoignition, so the ignition delay of 1-butanol volume ratio of 50% was became longer than that of 75% case.
