        全州川에서 分離된 辨濟耐性 大腸菌群에 對한 公衆保健學的 考察

        Total of 100 strains of lactose-fermenting coliform bacteria isolated from the Jeonju-chun Creek in July 1979 were examined for susceptibility to 5 drugs, and transferability and transfer frequency of R plasmids in E. coli. Of 100 isolates, 23 stains were classified as E. coli, 57 strains as C. freundii, and 20 strains as Klebsiella-Enterobactor group by APHA Methods applied. A majority of isolates were resistant to drugs, singly or in combination, and the multiple resistant strains represented 74%. The most commonly found resistant drug was SM (84%), followed by TC (74%), RP(26%), and GM (10%) in order. Wheras all strains were susceptibility to NA. Resistant pattern of isolates showed multiple drug resistance, paticulary SM TC and SM TC RP patterns were frequently appearance. We could observed the transferability of E. coli R plasmds in mixed culture: only R (TC) plasmid was transferred to E. coli ML 1410 and E. coli K-12 with 8.7×10 exp (-3) 1.5×10 exp (-4)% and 6.5×10 exp (-4)-2.1×10 exp (-6)% of transfer frequency, at 37℃ for 18 hours incubation, respectively.

        Concentrations of dissolved B_12, thiamine and biotin in the water of GAMAGYANG bay, were determined by microbiological assay methods. Also the relations between the distribution of B group vitamins and other environmental factors were studied. Vitamin B_12 was assayed with Englena gracilis strain z, thiamine with Cryptococcus albidus and biotin with Achromobacter sp. yH-51. It was found that the concentrations of B group vitamins in the water of GAMAGYANG bay were middle ; vitamin B_12 1.90-5.75, ng/l thiamine u-1.29ng/l and biotin 2.40-14.60ng/l. The concentrntion of B group vitamin was high in summer than in winter. In the water of GAMAGYANG bay during summer, B group vitamin occurred at a middle level, the concentration neccessary for sufficient phytoplankton development. The concentrations of vitamin B_12, thiamine and biotin correlated positively with the abundances of phytoplankton, but not aerobic heterotrophic bacteria. It is suggested that the variation in the concentration of these vitamins in the water may be much more connected with the growth of phytoplankton than bacteria. * u : undetectable amount.

        Concentration of dissolved vitamin B_12 in the water of Okjeong lake have been determined by microbiological assay methods on the 20th of August, 1983. Also the relations between the vitamin B_12 and other physical, chemical and biological environmental factors were investigated. Vitamin B_12 was assayed with Euglena gracilis Z strain. The results obtained in this investigation were as folows:1. Generally, the values of COD and Cl^- were higher than values reported in 1981. 2. The concentration of nutrient salts in the lake water was found to be at a higher level: above the general criterion in a eutrophic lake viz., phosphorous 0.175-0.225 ㎎/l. 3. Chlorophyll a contents in this lake were 1.1-8.7 ㎍/l. 4. The concentration of vitamin B_12 in the water fairly high: 1.25-6.0 ng. It is apparent that concentrations of the vitamin B_12 as well as nutrient salts were high in the water of Okjeong lake. It was found that Okjeung lake was in eutrophic.

      • Extrachromosomal CCC DNA에 관한 연구 : 1. 젖산桿菌 藥劑耐性과 傳撻性 R 因子의 分布 1. Drug resistance and distribution of transferable R factors in Lactobaillus

        Recent reports confirm that R factors against Enterobacteriaceae isolated from various sources in widespread in Korea. However, no report have made concerning the incidence of transferable R factors of lactobacillus contained in raw and fermented milk. A total of 80 strains of Lactobacillus isolated from raw and fermented milk of 5 companies were examined to investigate the minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of the 7 drugs such as streptomycin(SM), nalidixic acid(NA), chloramphenicol(CP), tetracycline(TC), penicillin(PC), Kanamycin(KM), and gentmicin(GM). After that they were examined for distribution of transferable R factors. The following conclutions were obtained. Of 69 isolates from raw milk, 51 strains were classified L. cellobiosus, 13 strains as L. plantarum, and 5 strains as others by biological test. Whereas of 11 isolates from fermented milk, 4 strains were classified as L. helveticus, 3 strains as L. bulgaricus, 1 strain as L. casei, and 3 strains as others by the above same methods. The MIC of KM, GM, and PC to the isolates was 10㎍/㎖, whereas 100%(80 strains), 98.9%(79 strains), 12.5%(10 strains) and 2.5%(2 strains) of the isolates was resistant to SM, NA, CP, and TC in disk sensitive potency, respectively. Among 80 drug resistant strains of isolates, the rate of double drug resistant patterns(86.2%) were higher than that of triple durg resistant patterns(13.8%) and 4 different durg resistant patterns were observed. The most frequently encountered patterns were SM NA(84.2%), followed by SM NA CP(12.5%), SM TC and SM NA TC(2.5%). Of 69 isolates from raw milk, 4 strains carried R factors to E. coli drug free recipient determining R(SM), 3 strains to E. coli K-12 recipient determining R(CP). Whereas 11 isolates from fermented milk, 7 strains carried R factors to E. coii drug free recipient determining R(SM) and R(SM TC), 7 strains carried R factors to E. coli K-12 recipient determining R(CP), R(TC), and R(SM). It might be summerized that Lactobacillus isolated from raw and fermented milk represented that carried R factors between different Families-Lactobacillaceae to Enterobacteriaceae- in bacteria determining from genus Lactobacillus to genus Escherichia.

      • Toxoplasma gondii의 組機培養에 關한 硏究

        Quite a number of diagnostic methods have been studied as to earlier diagnosis, treatment and control of toxoplasmosis where higher rates of occurance and mortality are discerned no less than in cases such as swine cholera and swine erysipelas. Even with the method of dyetest which is universely acknowledged as an efficient serological diagnostic method, however, chances are very slim for the treatment of swine suffering from acute toxoplasmosis because the antibody comes into being around seven days after the symptom. Hence, the major concern of the paper is with the study of the diagnostic method which has proved to be more efficient and valid. The buffy coat cell of three-day cultivation was inoculated with Toxoplasma gondii collected from the circulatory blood of the patients with parasitemia experimentally inoculated right after the symptom. The results obtained therefrom are summarized in the following outline : 1. The buffy coat cell of two-day cultivation was inoculated with buffy layer of the circulatory blood of swine and mouse experimentally infected with Toxoplasma godii. This experiment did not reveal the multiplication which is valuable for the diagnostic method. 2. The buffy coat cell of three-day cultivation was inoculated with buffy layer of the circulatory blood of swine with parasitemia experimentally inoculated. Then started to appear Toxoplsma gondii 24 hours after the inoculation, and the multiplication for valuable diagnosis was observable during the period of 48-72 hours post inoculation. 3. The buffy coat cell of three-day cultivaton was inoculated with buffy layer of the circulatory blood of mouse with parasitemia experimentally inoculated with Toxoplasma gondii, this experiment ending in the same result as in the case of swine.

        파래투여에 의한 잉어류의 생리활성에 관한 연구

        파래투여에 따른 생리활성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 이스라엘잉어에 대상으로 공기노출에 따른 혈액성상의 변화를 조사하였고 아울러서 비단잉어를 대상으로 A. sobriae에 대한 항균력과 항응집소가를 조사하였던 바 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 이스라엘잉어를 대상으로 4개월간 파래첨가사육후에 공기노출에 따른 혈액성상에 미치는 영향에 있어서 Ht치는 파래첨가의 유무에 관계없이 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 헤모글로빈, 총단백, 알부민 및 글루코스치는 대조군에 비해 첨가군에서 증가되는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 5% 첨가군에서 높게 나타났다. 그렇지만, GPT 및 GOT치는 대조군에 비해 파래 첨가농도에 비례하여 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 한편, 비단잉어를 대상으로 파래추출물을 1주간 복강내로 투여후 A. sobriae에 대한 항균능은 대조군에 비해서 첨가군 모두에서 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 30㎍/g 투여군에서 4×104 CFU로 최저치를 나타냇다. 한편, 항응집소가는 대조군에 비해 파래추출물 투여군 모두에서 증가되었으며, 특히 30㎍/g 투여군에서 6.0±1.1로서 최고치를 보였다. Physiological activities of E. compressa were examined after oral and intraperitoneal(i.p.) adminstration in young(8g) Israeli and colored carp. Hematological parameters were evaluated to test physiological respose. Anti-bacterial activity was examined by counting the number of bacterial cells in the kidney, and also by measuring the change of agglutinin titers following A. sobriae infection. There was a tendency of increase in E. compressa-fed groups in total protein, albumin and glucose levels. The most marked increase was noted in the group fed with 5% E. compressa. GPT and GOT levels were reduced with the increase of E. compressa concentration. Feeding of E. compressa did not alter haematocrit(Ht) and hemoglobin (Hb) values. The number of A. sobriae was reduced in all groups intraperitoneally treated with variable concentration of E. compressa-extract. The lowest bacterial cells were found at the group intraperitoneally treated with 30㎍ of E. compressa-extract per g of colored carp(30㎍/g), indicating that the anti-bacterial activity is maximized at this concentration. The agglutinin titers were elevated in E. compressa extract-treated groups(30㎍/g) with the maximum value of 6.0±1.1. These results indicate that E. compressa adminstration activated physiological response, and triggered a cascade for anti-bacterial reaction.

        근역장의 효율적 측정을 위한 광대역 프로브의 설계 및 제작

        본 논문에서는 근역장 측정에 사용되는 이중 리지드 도파관 구조 광대 역 프로브를 설계 및 제작하였다. 광대역 임피던스 정합을 위해 구형 도파관 내에 지수함수 테이퍼 리지를 삽입시킨 구조를 이용하여 구현하였다. 프로브는 $VSWR\leq2.2$를 기준으로 하한 주파수 8.2 GHz에서 상한 주파수 18 GHz까지 2.2:1의 대 역비를 갖는 광대역 특성을 보였으며 대역폭 내에 왜곡 없는 안정된 복사 패턴을 가지면서 4.5 dBi 이상의 이득을 가졌다. 설계한 광대역 프로브를 이용하여 근역장 측정 시스템을 적용하여 정확한 측정 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. In this paper, we designed and fabricated the wideband probe with double ridged waveguide for Near-field Measurement. An exponential taper ridge in the rectangular waveguide was implemented for wideband impedance matching. It has wideband characteristics and its measured impedance bandwidth ratio is approximately 2.2:1 from 8.2 GHz to 18 GHz for $VSWR\leq2.2$. It maintains about the same radiation pattern over the entire bandwidth and has more than 4.5 dBi peak radiation gain. Our designed probe was applied to near-field measurement. A good agreement has been found between simulated and measured results.
