The objective of this study was to predict total bacteria count of pork meats by using the portable electronic nose systems developed throughout two stages of the prototypes. Total bacteria counts were measured for pork meats stored at 4℃ for 21days and compared with the signals of the electronic nose systems. PLS(Partial least square), PCR (Principal component regression), MLR (Multiple linear regression) models were developed for the prediction of total bacteria count of pork meats. The coefficient of determination (Rp<SUP>2</SUP>) and root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) for the models were 0.789 and 0.784 log CFU/g with the 1st system for the pork loin, 0.796 and 0.597 log CFU/g with the 2nd system for the pork belly, and 0.661 and 0.576 log CFU/g with the 2nd system for the pork loin respectively. The results show that the developed electronic system has potential to predict total bacteria count of pork meats.

The aim of this study was to develop a portable electronic nose system for freshness measurement of meats, which could be an alterative of subjective measurements of human nose and time-consuming measurements of conventional gas chromatograph methods. The portable electronic system was o optimized by comparing the measurement sensitivity and hardware efficiency, such as power consumption and dimension reduction throughout two stages of the prototypes. The electronic nose systems were constructed using an array of four different metal oxide semiconductor sensors. Two different configurations of sensor array with dimension were designed and compared the performance respectively. The final prototype of the system showed much improved performance on saving power consumption and dimension reduction without decrease of measurement sensitivity of pork freshness. The results show the potential of constructing a portable electronic system for the measurement of meat quality with high sensitivity and energy efficiency.

Development of sensitive nondestructive measurement methods for meat freshness is necessary to ensure safe distribution of meat products in the continually growing meat market. Fluorescence spectral technology has been shown to be a promising measurement method for quality and safety evaluation of food and biological materials. In this study, fluorescence excitation-emission spectral characteristics of pork meats were measured and used to determine optimal fluorescence spectral factors for freshness evaluation. Chemical and microbial indicators of freshness were correlated with fluorescence emission spectra at optimal excitation wavelengths using linear regression methods. The coefficient of determination (R2) and root mean square error of validation (RMSEV) for models to predict the TBARS, TBC, VBN, pH of pork loin were 0.694 (0.188), 0.823 (0.417), 0.869 (0.598), and 0.632 (0.131), respectively. The excitation and emission wavebands identified in this study could be used for rapid and nondestructive measurement of pork freshness.
호텔종사원의 직무환경이 직무만족과 고객지향성에 미치는 영향

This research paper makes effort to study the effect of the job satisfaction and customer orientation on the job environment of hotel employees. Also the purpose of this study is to propose the improvement of the job environment for increasing job satisfaction. According to improvement of job environment, hotel employees foster positive attitude to customers, it also related to not only customer satisfaction but also enhancement of quality of hotel. The result of this study is that H1: among ‘job environment’ factors, ‘fairness of job evaluation’ and ‘fairness of employment status’ have a positive(+) effect on ‘job satisfaction’, however ‘fairness of job system’ has a negative(-) relationship with ‘job satisfaction’. Also H2: ‘job satisfaction’ of hotel employees positively (+) related to ‘customer orientation’: As the ‘job satisfaction’ increases the ‘customer orientation’ will be increase. In terms of H3: among ‘job environment’ factor of hotel employees, ‘fairness of employment status’ and ‘fairness of job system’ have positive effects on ‘customer orientation’. However ‘fairness of job evaluation’ have negative effects on ‘customer orientation’. Such results indicate that Hotel Company (or employer) should pay attention to the working environment of employee that has significant effects on job satisfaction and customer orientation. Ultimately that could contribute to improvement of business outcome. However, for the generalization of result and the diversity of research method, sample size should be increase. Furthermore, future study should be implement the correlation research between variables (job environment).

Histiocytosis X is a proliferative disorder of histiocytes that consisting of three clinical syndromes which shared several basic clinical and histopathologic features ; Letterer-Siwe disease, Hand-Schu‥ller-Christian disease, and eosinophilic granuloma. Hand-Schu??ller-Christian disease commonly affects older children between the ages of 5 and 10, but may be seen in any age group. It typically follows a more chronic courses. 7 years old female are refered to the Dept. of Pedodontics, College of Dentistry, Chonbuk National University due to severe tooth mobility on whole dentition. Clinical examination, radiographic and histopathologic findings were used to evaluation of the lesion. The purpose of this article is to report a case of histiocyte involving oral cavity and to review the procedure involved in the diagnosis and treatment of this disorder.
범량질 복합레진 수복시 접착부의 피로파괴에 관한 실험적 연구

This study was to evaluate the fatigue characteristics of composite bond to enamel surface and the effect of thermocycling on changes of bond strength and hardness of prisma AP.H. and Z100. Fatigue life was measured using the electro-magnetic type fatigue machine and the thermocycling test was conducted on the condition of 15 second dwell time each in 5。c and 55。c bath. The results obtained were summarized as follow: 1. Linear regression analysis between the stress level and the fatigue life was high negative correlation. 2. The fatigue characteristic of composite bond of Z100 was superior to Prisma AP.H. when a cyclic flexure stress was applied. 3. Tensile bond strengths were 174.26±72.98㎏/㎠ at Prisma AP.H.and 175.76±59.07㎏/㎠ at\100, and didn’t show a significant difference. The degradation of bond strength of Z100 was larger than that of Prisma AP.H. after 250 and 500 cycles. 4. Knoop hardness numbers were 52.70±1.73㎏/㎟ at Prisma AP.H. and 94.54±3.21㎏/㎟ at Z100, and showed a significant difference (p<0.01) 5. In the surface layer, cracks and micropores were observed after thermocycling.
