        -5.0~-8.5디옵터의 근시안에서 라섹(LASEK) 수술시 사용한 저농도 마이토마이신의 각막혼탁억제 효과

        Purpose: To evaluate the effects of the prophylactic use of mitomycin C in low concentration and short duration (0.01%, 60 sec) in inhibiting haze formation after laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK). Methods: Forty-two eyes of 71 patients with refractive error from -5.0 D to -8.50 D were enrolled in this study. The eyes were divided into 2 groups according to the use of mitomycin C. All eyes were examined for refraction, UCVA, BCVA, and the incidence and degree of corneal haze before surgery and at 1, 3, 6 months after operation. Results: Fifty-one eyes were operated by LASEK with intraoperative application of 0.01% mitomycin C for 60 seconds and 20 eyes were operated by LASEK without mitomycin C. There was no statistical difference in UCVA, BCVA, and spherical equivalent between 2 groups. In the study group, the degree of corneal haze was 0.54±0.39. 0.38±0.48, 0.30±0.50 at 1, 3, 6 months after operation and in the control group, 0.92±0.58, 0.79±0.66, 0.50±0.60 at 1, 3, 6 months after operation respectively. The difference in the postoperative corneal haze between 2 groups was statistically significant at 1, 3 months after operation, but at 6 months the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: In this study, intraoperative single use of mitomycin C in lower concentration and short duration could reduce the formation of corneal haze effectively in early postoperative period after LASEK. A more longterm period of follow up will be required to assess the continuous effect of mitomycin C on inhibiting corneal haze after LASEK.

        계층적분석과정을 이용한 상수관로의 노후도 평가를 위한 항목별 가중치 산정

        The purpose of this study is to estimate deterioration assessment for weighting factors in pipe network for which each local selfgovernment takes rehabilitation and replacement work at present time. Deterioic hierarchy process(AHP), calculates the weighting factors. The appropriate marks matrix of sixteen deterioration factors are made for the precise decision standard of pipe condition through the result of this analysis. The marks matrix of sixteen deterioration factors can solve the complicated decision making problems of pipe rehabilitation workration factors in the pipe network might be influenced by local factors, such as province, location, or land use, in water supply systems. In this study, the sixteen deterioration factors are determined suitable for domestic situation based on the pipe deterioration factor data inside and outside of the country. Also, we select persons in charge of calculating the detail weighting factors and do survey about important level of each deterioration factors. Delphi method, a question survey method applying the analyts. 본 연구의 목적은 현재 지방자치단체에서 수행하는 상수관로 개량 및 교체 사업시 상수관로의 노후도 평가를 위한 항목별 가중치를 산정하는 것이다. 상수도시스템에 상수관로의 노후도 항목은 지역 및 위치, 토지이용 등의 특성에 영향을 받을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 자료를 바탕으로 국내 실정에 맞는 노후도 항목 16개를 선정하였다. 또한, 노후도 항목별 세분화된 가중치 산정을 위해 실무업체를 선정하여 해당 전문가들을 대상으로 노후도 항목별 중요도에 대한 설문을 실시하였다. 설문 조사 방법으로는 델피법을 이용하여 이 결과를 바탕으로 계층적분석과정(AHP)을 적용하여 노후항목별 가중치를 산정하였다. 분석결과 국내 실무에 적합한 16개 결함항목별 점수배점표를 작성하여 명확한 판단기준을 마련하였으며 관거 개량사업에 있어서 복잡한 의사결정 문제들에 대한 활용 가능성을 제시하였다.

        중복간섭모형을 이용한 서울시 강우량 변화분석

        본 연구의 목적은 1967년부터 1996년까지 30년간의 서울시 자료를 이용하여 엘니뇨현상과 월 강우량의 변화를 분석하는데 있다. 연구에서는 간섭모형을 적용하여 서울시의 월 강우량 자료를 분석하였다. 현재까지의 엘니뇨의 발생시기를 추정하기 어려운 이유로 간섭의 시점을 기존의 문헌조사를 바탕으로 1972년 1976년, 1979년, 1982년, 1986년 그리고, 1991년을 선정하였다. 연구결과 엘니뇨의 효과는 서울시 월 강우량에 상당한 영향을 주고 있었다. 또한 엘니뇨의 영향은 월 강우량을 기준으로 최고 53.4mm에서 최저 2.5mm 영향을 주었다. 따라서 엘니뇨의 영향을 고려할 때 서울시의 발생가능한 자연적 재해를 방지하기 위해서는 장기간의 수자원 관리가 필요한 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between El Nino phenomena and the monthly rainfall variations of Seoul city which is composed of 30 year data during <TEX>$1967{\sim}1996$</TEX>. In this study, the monthly rainfall data at Seoul city is analyzed by applying an intervention model. As it is unavailable to get the data of El Nino phenomena, the point of intervention have been decided from the literature survey of the data observed to be the years of 1972, 1976, 1979, 1982, 1986 and 1991. As a results the El Nino was revealed more significant to the monthly rainfall at Seoul. In addition, monthly rainfall varied between the maximum 53.41mm and the minimum 2.50mm. To prevented future natural disaster, long term water planning and management is requied in consideration El <TEX>$Nin\tilde{o}$</TEX>.

        황반부이상을 나타내는 여러 망막질환에서 선택적초시력시야계 결과분석

        Purpose: The Preferential Hyperacuity Perimeter (PHP) is a device designed to monitor the development of choroidal neovascularization in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) patients. Recent studies have reported the efficacy of the PHP in early detection of AMD. To evaluate hyperacuity, a dot deviation signal is flashed to the central 14 degrees of the macular visual field and the patient`s perceived hyperacuity defect is recorded. The purpose of our study was to identify the role of the PHP in analyzing visual functions of patients with maculopathy caused by retinal diseases other than AMD. Methods: Seventy-four eyes of 55 patients with macular abnormalities caused by various retinal diseases (44 eyes of diabetic retinopathy, 6 eyes of central serous chorioretinopathy, 24 eyes of other retinal diseases) underwent PHP, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and fluorescein angiography (FAG). Results: Of the 74 eyes with maculopathy, 60 eyes (81%) were positive on the PHP. By disease, 40 eyes (40/44, 91%) with diabetic retinopathy, 3 eyes (3/6, 50%) with central serous chorioretinopathy and 17 eyes (17/24, 71%) with other retinal diseases were positive. Among them, the location of hyperacuity defect lesions determined by PHP correlated well with the location shown on OCT and FAG in 6 eyes (6/40, 15%) with diabetic retinopathy, 1 eye (1/3, 33%) with central serous chorioretinopathy and 5 eyes (5/17, 29%) with other retinal diseases. Conclusions: Many retinal diseases that lead to maculopathy revealed a hyperacuity defect on PHP when the lesion was located not only in the retinal pigment epithelium but also in the outer retinal layer. Special attention to the patient`s visual acuity and visual field defects is required when analyzing PHP results since these factors can influence the PHP evaluation.

        비만관련 생활습관병 위험인자 예측을 위한 다중 주파수 기반의 분할 체임피던스 측정법

        The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between the segmental bio-impedance measurement with the frequency modulations and the life-style disease of obesity. An obesity is not simply the factor for estimating the life-style disease of obesity, but also the risk factor occurring. There are many methods (BMI, WHR, Waist, CT, DEXA, BIA, etc.) for measuring a degree of obesity; the bio-impedance measurement is more economic and more effective than others. The physical examination, the blood test, the medical imaging diagnosis and the bio-impedancemeasurementswithmultiple frequencies for each body parts have been conducted for 77 people. The estimated value has been calculated through a segmental bio-impedance model based on multi-frequency that was created to reflect the highest correlation by analyzing correlation with linear regression analysis method for the measured bio-impedance and the risk factors. Then we compared with the clinical diagnosis. In case of high level cholesterol, low HDL-C and high LDL-C for life-style disease, the sensitivity is 80~100%and the specificity is 83~100%. This study has shown conclusively that bio-impedance can be a possible predictor to analyze the disease risk rate of population and individual health maintenance. And also the multi-frequency segmental bio-impedance can be used as early predictor to estimate the life-style disease of obesity.

      • Functionalization of implant by drug-reinforced biocompatible coating

        Functions of implantable materials can be divided into two categories: mechanical and biological functions. The surface property of the implant materials is involved in the modulation of cell and tissue responses. In this study, we investigated the surface modification method by forming inorganic material of which biological function was reinforced by incorporation of drug components. The chemical composition and physical geometry were examined using analytical instruments. Cellular responses in terms of cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation were quantified. The reinforcement via drug incorporation appeared to be highly effective for induction of desirable cellular responses.
