High temperatures (30-36°C) inhibited astaxanthin accumulation in H. pluvialis under photoautotrophic conditions. The depression of carotenogenesis was primarily attributed to excess intracellular less reactive oxygen species (LROS; O<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> and H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>) levels generated under high temperature conditions. Here we show that the heat stress-driven inefficient astaxanthin production was improved by accelerating the iron-catalyzed Haber-Weiss reaction to convert LROS into more reactive oxygen species (MROS; O<sub>2</sub> and OHㆍ), thereby facilitating lipid peroxidation. As a result, during 18 days of photoautotrophic induction, the astaxanthin concentration of cells cultured in high temperatures in the presence of iron (450 μM) was dramatically increased by 75% (30°C) and 133% (36°C) compared to that of cells exposed to heat stress alone. The heat stress-driven Haber-Weiss reaction will be useful for economically producing astaxanthin by reducing energy cost and enhancing photoautotrophic astaxanthin production, particularly outdoors utilizing natural solar radiation including heat and light for photo-induction of H. pluvialis.
A Study on the Reliability of DVR in a 3-Phase Phase-Controlled Rectifier

This study investigated the relationship between the response time of DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) and the possible compensation range for voltage dips by the DVR system which protects the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier from said dips. As a result, the permissible range of voltage dip is presented in a 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier. When the DVR compensates for voltage dip, the range of voltage dip can be compensated according to the DVR's response time. Using the proposed method, DVR response time can be determined from the parameters of the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier and the possible compensatory range of voltage dip, while at the same time it is possible to use a control system having an appropriate speed. Therefore, the use of excessively fast equipment can be avoided, improving the stability of the overall system. The reliability of the DVR concerning the 3-phase phase-controlled rectifier can be verified by simulation.
전단보강근이 있는 철근콘크리트보의 매립형 CFRP 전단보강효과에 대한 연구

최근 노후화된 철근콘크리트 구조물에 대한 FRP를 이용한 보강공법의 적용이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 휨 보강에 대해서는 연구로 인해 정량적인 평가로 인해 효율적인 설계가 가능하지만, 전단보강의 경우에는 파괴메카니즘을 완전히 규명하지 못하는 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 전단보강근이 있는 철근콘크리트보에 매립형 CFRP를 전단보강하여 보강효과를 파악하고자 실험을 수행한 후, 실험결과를 토대로 분석 및 고찰을 통해 정량적인 보강효과를 도출하고자 한다. 시험체 제작시 실험변수로는 전단보강근의 간격과 보강방향으로 하여 시험체를 10개 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 전단보강근 간격과 보강방향에 따라 CFRP의 보강효과는 다소 차이를 보였다. In research, flexural strengthening of reinforced concrete beam can be Efficient design. But shear srengthening og reinforced concrte beam can't be Efficient design by variable cause. The purpose of this study is to investigate the shear resisting effect of filling-up CFRP in reinforced concrete beams with web reinforced. Ten specimens were manufactured and tested. In the test result, it was analysis. The main variables in the test were a space of web reinforcement and a direction of CFRP.
