A welding process of a lifting lug for lifting heavy objects is one of the important welding processes directly related to the safety in shipbuilding. Welding a lifting lug is done in the manually and takes about forty minutes. Working environment for the lifting lug welding is very poor due to an radiant heat and a harmful fume. The purpose of this study is to develop methods of multi-pass welding using the lifting lug welding robot system. This study shows robot welding methods to achieve proper corner, straight and connection welding and an effectiveness of application.

In shipbuilding industry, welding position are usually flat and vertical position at the erection stage. Application of SAW and EGW for these positions makes it possible to achieve enhanced productivity and high quality. But owing to their large size and weight it is difficult to apply these techniques in short and narrow regions. To overcome this problem, our company developed light weight and compact size 4-axis welding carriage which perform 3D weaving. The purpose of this study is to explain the development and application of intelligent welding carriage using 3D weaving pattern that can fill a large amount of welds and thereby making it possible to achieve high quality of welding. This study shows 3D weaving pattern, development of weaving database, and skill of adaptive control response for the variable gap. Also, it shows the results of procedure qualification test for the AH-grade steel when applied to the intelligent welding carriage.
원자로냉각재계통 소구경 관통관 용접부 부분노즐교체 예방정비를 위한 최적 용접공정에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to develop a Half Nozzle Repair(HNR) process to prevent the leakage from welds on small bore piping in Reactor Coolant System. The Codes & Standards of tempered bead and design requirements of J-Groove welds are reviewed. Automatic machine GTAW welding and machining equipments are developed to perform HNR process. Single pass welding and overlay welding equipments are conducted in order to obtain the optimal temper bead welding process parameters with Alloy 52M filler wire. Coarse grain heat affected zone(CGHAZ) is formed by rapid cooling rate in heat affected zone after welding. Accordingly, a proper temper bead technique is required to reduce CGHAZ in 1-Layer of welds by 2- and 3-Layers. Mock-up tests show that the developed HNR process is possible to meet ASME Code & Standard requirements without any defect.
Concolic 테스팅 기법을 구현한 KLEE 테스팅 도구의 사례 연구

다양하고 많은 소프트웨어가 개발되고 있는 현 시장에서 소프트웨어의 질을 향상시키기 위해 적은 비용으로 효과적으로 신뢰성을 검증할 수 있는 다양한 테스팅 기법이 활발히 연구되고 있다. Concolic (Concrete+symbolic) 테스팅 또는 동적 심볼릭 수행(dynamic symbolic execution) 기법을 적용한 테스팅 도구가 많이 구현되고 있는데 본 논문에서는 많은 Concolic 테스팅 도구 중 KLEE에 대한 특징을 살펴보고 단위 시간당 분기 커버리지(branch coverage)를 살펴보는 사례 연구를 하였다. KLEE에서 제공하는 효과적으로 분기 커버리지를 높이는 역할을 하는 여러 탐색 방법(search strategy)들의 성능을 검증하기 위해 본 논문에서는 GNU Coreutils 버전 8.9를 대상 프로그램으로 하여 각 탐색 방법들의 분기 커버리지를 비교하였다.
연소용 공기 공급 불균일을 고려한 발전 보일러내 연소환경 시뮬레이션

Oil-fired power plants usually use several burners and the combustion air is supplied to each burner through the complicated duct which is called windbox. A windbox should be designed to supply combustion air to each burner evenly but, due to the complicated duct shape, flow distribution in the windbox is unbalanced and uneven supplies of combustion air to each burner are induced by these unbalanced flow distribution in the windbox. These flow patterns tend to make flame unstable, increase the formation of pollutants and lower the overall combustion efficiency. To prevent these disadvantages, flow patterns in the windbox should be investigated for the uniform flow distribution. In this study, computational simulation method was used to investigate the flow distribution in the windbox and measured the velocities at the exit of burners in the real windbox to compare with CFD results. The results show two significant flow patterns. One is that the flow rates of each burner are different from each other and this means that all burners operate in different conditions of air to fuel ratio. The other is that the flow distribution at the exit of each burner is not axi-symmetric although the burner shape is axi-symmetric and this increases the pollutant products like CO.

In the multi-burner power plant, uneven combustion air supplies to burners and peripherical flow distribution around each burner are induced by unbalanced flow distribution in the winbox. These flow patterns tend to make flame unstable, increase the formation of pollutants and lower the overall combustion efficiency. To prevent these disadvantages, flow pattern in the windbox should be investigated and made to be distributed uniformly. In this study CFD method was used to investigate the flow patterns and confirmed the uneven flow distribustion in the windbox and the influences of air register vane opening angle to the flow distribution in the burner
