        Since 1991 as a part of the policy to solve housing problems and to narrow the gap between regions, the government enforced new town businesses starting with Bun-Dang including new regions like Pan-Gyo, Dong-Tan, Kim-Po, and Pa-Ju. As the supply of houses increased various arrangement forms are being planned to create better living environments. After the supply of apartments, many tower-type and linear-type buildings were built and the trend of a tower-type building is increasing as the understanding of a living environment is changing and also because of the consumer preference for apartments. However, unlike how cross ventilation is possible in a linear-type, the ventilation performance of a tower-type differs greatly in each position. Natural ventilation is formed by wind or the difference of temperature inside and outside a building. Especially, the shape of a building greatly effects the ventilation formed by wind. Natural ventilation not only improves the air quality inside a building by discharging polluted materials, but it also creates a pleasant heat-environment during summer without being dependent on other facilities. This study was focused on the analysis of the air flow from the exterior of buildings according to their shapes by using Computational Fluid Dynamic(CFD), and evaluation of the performance of natural ventilation from the plane of the standard floor. Then, the results are compared to find an efficient way of natural ventilation.

        Shenqi-wan Increases Cell Proliferation of Cultured Hippocampal Cell Line HiB5 and Dentate Gyrus of Young Sprague-Dawley Rats

        목적 : 소아의 정신적 및 신체적 발달지연에 사용되고 있는 신기환이 해마의 신경세포 생성에 미치는 영향을 관찰하고자 하였다. 방법 : 신기환이 세포생성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 해마 세포인 HiB5에 신기환을 처리, 배양하여 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay를 통해서 세포생성을 관찰하였다. 또한 3주령의 Sprague-Dawley (S-D)계 흰쥐의 중완혈에 신기환 약침을 자침후 해마의 치상회에서 bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) immunohistochemistry를 시행하여 세포생성을 관찰하였다. 결과 : HiB5 배양세포에서는 신기환을 처리시 배양시간과 농도별로 세포생성율이 증가하였다. 또한, 대조군의 치상회에서 BrdU 양성세포수는 $128.50{\pm}9.53$, 1 mg/kg 신기환 자침군은 $157.08{\pm}10.82$ 및 10 mg/kg 신기환 자침군은 $204.80{\pm}17.68$로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 신기환은 어린 S-D계 흰쥐의 치상회에서 세포생성을 증가시키는 것으로 사려된다.

        Cyclic AMP-PKA System이 억제성 및 흥분성 한약재에 의해 유발된 이온전류에 미치는 영향

        Modulatory effect of cAMP-PKA system on inhibitory- and excitatory herbs-induced ion currents were investigated by nystatin-perforated patch clamp method under voltage-clamp condition. Ion currents induced by Bupleuri radix and Coptidis rhizoma were not affected by cAMP-PKA system. Ion current induced by Ecliptae herba was partially inhibited by cAMP-PKA system. Ion currents induced by Aconiti tuber and Boshniakiae herba were inhibitory modulated and ion current induced by Zingiberis rhizoma was excitatory modulated by cAMP-PKA system. Modulation of cAMP-PKA system on ion currents induced by Ginseng radix was fluctuated. In this results, it can be seen generally that excitatory herbs-induced ion currents were modulated by cAMP-PKA system while cAMP-PKA system did not affect inhibitory herbs-induced ion currents.

        This study explored the current supply status on Contents Technology R&D(research and development) and friendly function Game Industry targeting to elderly consumers. The game contents including the functional components are categorized the sixth category of CT R&D's fundamental planning. The function game targeting to elderly focused on emotional and physical recovering to barrier, user friendliness, simplicity and certainty of game performance. The purpose of game participation are health, well-being, psychological wellness and communication. The functional game consisted of various version procedure by socio-demographic, the accessibility to game media and device.

        3T3-L1 세포에서 Resveratrol과 Epigallocatechin Gallate(EGCG)의 지방세포 분화 억제에 미치는 시너지 효과

        Resveratrol (RVT) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) individually inhibit adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The objective was to examine the possibility of interaction between RVT and EGCG, resulting in enhanced inhibition of adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Preadipocytes were treated with RVT and EGCG individually at 6.25 or $25{\mu}M$ (RVT6.25 or RVT25) and 12.5 or $50{\mu}M$ (EGCG12.5 or EGCG50) and in combination (RVT6.25 + EGCG12.5 and RVT25 + EGCG50). RVT25 as an individual compound decreased lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes by 24%, and RVT25 + EGCG50 further decreased lipid accumulation by 77%. In addition, exposure of 3T3-L1 adipocytes to RVT6.25 + EGCG12.5 and RVT25 + EGCG50 combinations resulted in an enhanced increase of adiponectin release and inhibition of leptin release. Quantitative analysis revealed that the combination of tested materials (RVT6.25 + EGCG12.5 and RVT25 + EGCG50) decreased the expression levels of C/EBP${\alpha}$, PPAR${\gamma}2$, and aP2. These results indicate that the combined treatments with RVT and EGCG produce synergistic effects on inhibiting adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The overall results suggested that the combining RVT and EGCG might be more capable of exerting antiobesity effects than each individual compound by itself.

        디지털컨버전스 패러다임과 디지털콘텐츠 서비스 참여에 관한 연구

        This study identifies the concept of a digital convergence paradigm, which deals with the relationship among convergence and consumer participation, digital contents services, and the culture of consumption (web 2.0). This research was conducted using a quantitative method involving focus group interviews (FGI) and literature reviews. This research examines the relationship between convergence and consumer participation and the adoption of a concept of "convergence culture", which is categorized as "collective intelligence" and "intellectual community participation". The role of the consumer has changed from one of a "consuming consumer" to that of a "collaborating consumer" and finally to the concept of a consumers as the originator of a new consumption culture. In the study, the consumption culture of web participants indicated the characteristics of funology, self-expression, life-catching, quick-tempered, immersion(arousal), sharing culture, multitasking, and cyber justice. The recognition level of networking on the "digital convergence" of the consumer was identified as that of the combination of IT(information technology); product and multi-services or alliance of industry groups(telecom, broadband, IPTV service); or the use of one source with multiple devices.

        Identification of estrogenic genes responding to phthalate esters treatment in human MCF-7 cells

        The phthalate esters represent a class of chemicals used widely and diversely in industries as a plasticizer for elasticity and adhesion. Some phthalate diesters are classified as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), because they have been found weakly estrogenic. This study aimed to identify the changes of gene expression profiles by BBP, DBP,and DEHP using cDNA microarray. Firstly, we have selected the MCF-7 cell line, mainly used to estrogenic related research and selected the doses appearing the highest estrogenicity in E-screen assay to examine the estrogenicity and gene expression profiles of phthalate esters. Total RNA was isolated from cells treated with each phthalate esters (BBP, DBP, and DEHP) and 17β-estradiol, and then changes of gene expression were analyzed using cDNA microarray (KISTCHIP-400). This microarray includes 416 endocrine related genes based on public database and research papers. For the microarray analysis, genes that showed a 1.5-fold or greater change in their expression level (increase or decrease) were detected as differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Of the 416 genes analyzed, 95, 26, and 63 genes were identified showing significant changes in gene expression resulting from BBP, DBP, and DEHP, respectively. Among these genes, 11 genes,including MGP, SEPP1, and BAK1 were induced by more than 2 of 3 phthalate esters compared with 17β-estradiol. Therefore, it suggests that these genes may be associated with estrogenic effect of the phthalate esters on transcriptional level.

      • 콘 관입저항치를 이용한 수직배수재 타설심도 결정에 관한 연구

        최근 피조콘시험은 과거 일반적으로 사용되었던 표준관입시험과 함께 연약지반의 특성을 평가하기 위해 빈번히 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 하부지반의 지층상태를 파악하고 설계를 위한 연약지반 심도 결정 및 시공시 수직배수재 타설심도 결정시 그 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위해서 표준관입시험결과(N치), 선행압밀하중(pc), 수직배수재 타설시 관입에너지와 피조콘시험을 통한 콘 관입저항치($q_c$)와의 관계를 분석하였다. 대상 지역별로 일정한 표준관입저항치를 기준으로 평균 연약지반심도를 결정하여, 동일한 심도에서 피조콘관입저항치를 값을 분석한 결과 $q_c$=(1.09~1.63)N, 선행압밀하중을 고려한 결과 $q_c$=(1.21~1.98)N의 관계를 나타내었다. 또한 수직배수재 타설시 관입에너지와 피조콘시험을 통한 콘 관입저항치($q_c$)와의 관계를 분석한 결과 평균적으로 피조콘 관입저항치 10kgf/$cm^2$의 경우 수직배수재 타설 시 관입저항치는 약 65~70.0kgf/$cm^2$의 값을 나타내였다. Recently, piezocone penetration test is frequently used in order to estimate the characteristics of soft ground with standard penetration test; generally used in the past In this study, standard penetration test, piezocone penetration test, driving resistance of vertical drain were used in order to increase the confidence for determination of soft ground depth. And the compressible layer was determined by the comparison between the preconsolidation pressure and the designed increase pressure. As the results, the relation between standard penetration test and piezocone penetration test shows $q_c$=(1.09~1.63)N at the soft ground, determined by 5/30 N value. And $q_c$(1.21~1.98)N was shown at the point of compressible layer, evaluated by the preconsolidation pressure. And driving resistance of vertical drain is 70 f/$cm^2$ which is equal to 10kgf/$cm^2$ cone penetration resistance.

        탄화 정수 슬러지를 이용한 수중의 납과 카드뮴 흡착에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서, 400도에서 탄화시킨 정수 슬러지를 수중의 납과 카드뮴의 제거를 위한 흡착제로서 시험하였다. 탄화된 슬러지는 열중량 분석, 주사 전자 현미경, X-선 형광분광기, 표면적 분석에 의해 특성화 하였다. 탄화 슬러지는 정수 슬러지 자체보다도 대단히 높은 비표면적과 총 세공부피를 나타내었다. 회분식 흡착 과정에서 탄화 슬러지는 카드뮴보다는 납에 대하여 더 나은 흡착성능을 보였으며, 실험에서 행한 농도에서 90~98%의 흡착 능력을 달성하였다. 흡착의 평형 데이터는 Freundlich와 Langmuir와 흡착등온선 모델을 이용하여 평가하였고, Freundlich와 Langmuir 흡착 등온선 둘 다 0.95보다 큰 상관계수($R^2$) 값을 나타내었다. 연구의 결과들은 열처리 된 탄화 정수 슬러지가 수중으로부터 납과 카드뮴을 제거하는데 효율적인 흡착제로 사용될 수 있다는 것을 보였다. In this study, water treatment sludge carbonized with $400^{\circ}C$ was tested as an adsorbent for the removal of Pb and Cd in water. The carbonized sludge was characterized by thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), and surface area analysis. Carbonized sludge exhibited much higher specific surface area and total pore volume than water treatment sludge itself. In batch-type adsorption process, carbonized sludge represented better adsorption performance for Pb than Cd, achieving 90~98% at the concentrations conducted in the experiments. Equilibrium data of adsorption were analyzed using the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models. It was seen that both Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms have correlation coefficient $R^2$ value larger than 0.95. The results of studies indicated that carbonized water treatment sludge by heat treatment could be used as an efficient adsorbent for the removal of Pb and Cd from water.
