Purpose: This study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of L-dopa in amblyopic children for whom occlusion treatment failed. Methods: We studied nine amblyopic children (11 eyes) for whom part-time occlusion (4~8 hours/day) treatment for a minimum period of 6 months had failed. The types of amblyopia included: anisometropic (1 patient, 1 eye), stimulus deprivation (4 patients, 6 eyes) and mixed (anisometropic and strabismic: 2 patients, 2 eyes; anisometropic and organic: 2 patients, 2 eyes). Best corrected visual acuity before treatment was between 0.05 and 0.5. They received, with full informed consent of the parent, levodopa (2~4 mg/kg) for 8 weeks combined with part-time occlusion. Results: The children were between 4 and 11 years old (mean 5.8±2.05). Of the subjects, 45.5% (4 patients, 5 eyes) had improved visual acuity after 8 weeks of treatment. In one patient with anisometropic, two patients with mixed (anisometropic and strabismic), and one patient with stimulus deprivation (ametropic) amblyopia, visual acuity improved by one to five lines. Conclusions: In anisometropic, strabismic amblyopes and mild deprivational amblyopes for whom occlusion treatment failed, L-dopa improved visual acuity. L-dopa may be an additional option for treatment of amblyopic patients with a guarded visual prognosis.
기업체의 장애인 고용 및 고용상황 변화에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구

본 연구는 고용을 통한 장애인의 주체적인 삶의 영위를 위해 기업체 입장에서 장애인 고용에 영향을 미치는 요인 및 장애인 고용상태의 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용하여 장애인 고용, 장애인 신규고용, 장애인 고용이탈에 대한 영향요인을 나누어 분석하였다. 분석결과를 종합하면 장애인 고용에는 조직, 업무특성, 정책, 기업주의 인식 모두 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기업체의 장애인 신규고용은 조직적 요인(업종)과 특히 정책적 요인이 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 장애인의 신규고용을 통한 장애인 고용의 양적 확대를 위해서는 무엇보다 기업 외적인 측면에서 정부차원의 정책적 지원이 우선시 되어야 하며, 취업 장애인의 고용유지를 위해서는 기업 내적인 측면(조직적 요인과 업무특성 요인)에서의 노력이 필요하다. Disabled people can live an independent life by employment and work. But now lots of them don`t have any job or are in a precarious position. In this reason, this purpose of this study is to draw the affecting factors of employment of disabled workers and changing of employment status for companies. Especially this study make three models, first model is which factors are affecting to employ the disabled, second is to new hire the disabled, and third is to break away from employment of disabled workers. This study conducted logistic regression to test the hypothesized relationships in the conceptual model. From these analyses, factors influencing on employment of disabled workers are organization, job characteristic, policies, cognition of owner. Second, factors of new hiring are organization(type of business) and policies. Particularly policies had a big impact on that, so to expand employment the disabled by new hiring, active supports are necessary at government level. Third, factors influencing on breakaway from employment of disabled workers are organization and type of business. These are internal factors of companies.

A centrifugal turbo compressor used in industry is a fluid machine that converts mechanical energy into fluid pressure and kinetic energy. It consists of an impeller that rotates at a high speed to accelerate the air, a diffuser that increases the pressure by diffusing the accelerated air, and a volute that collects the diffused gas and directs it to the outlet. This paper reports that the numerical analysis of the centrifugal turbo compressor at 3rd stage using ANSYS CFX. Based on the analysis results, the aerodynamic performance and flow characteristics were evaluated. Also, it was verified by comparing with experimental data.

This paper presents the determination method of the hybrid energy storage capacity for compensating the output of wind power when disconnecting from the grid. In the wind power output compensation, a lot of charging and discharging time with lithium-ion battery will be deteriorated the life time. And also, this fluctuation will cause some problems of the power quality and power system stability. To solve these kind of problems, many researchers in the world have been studied with BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) in the wind farm. But, BESS has the limitation of its output during very short term period, this means that it is difficult to compensat the very short term output of wind farm. Using the EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor), it is possible to solve the problem. Installing the battery system in the wind farm, it will be possible to decrease the total capacity of BESS consisting of HESS (Hybrid Energy Storage System). This paper shows simulation results when not only BESS is connected to wind farm but also to HESS. To verify the proposed system, results of computer simulation using PSCAD/EMTDC program with actual output data of wind farms of Jeju Island will be presented.

This paper presents a renewable energy configuration plan of Micro grid in Gapa Island. To analyze the characteristics of Micro grid, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), PMSG (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator) and SCIG (Squirrel Cage Induction Generator) are first modelled. The PMSG and SCIG will operate with basis on the real power curve. when the total power demand is larger than the total power generation, the BESS will be operated and the SOC (State Of Charge) is reduced. If the value of SOC could drop down to limited value, the system may be broken because of the voltage drop of BESS. To solve this problem, a DG (Diesel Generator) is used to charge the BESS and keep the voltage value of BESS with in a allowance limit. This paperre presents simulation result when PMSG, SCIG connected to the Micro grid installed in Gapa Island. The simulation is carry out by using PSCAD/EMTDC program with actual line constant and transformer parameter in Gapa Island.
