본고에서는 VOCED 데이터베이스의 정보검색기법을 살펴보았다. VOCED 데이터베이스를 직업 교육 및 훈련, 그러고 성인교육분야와 관련된 국제적인 정보를 수록하고 있다. VOCED는 CDS/ISIS 소프트웨어를 통해 구축되었으며, 레코드는 APSDEP 시소러스를 사용하여 색인되었다. VOCED 데이터베이스의 정보검색시에는 여러가지 검색기법들을 사용할 수 있다. 다수용어, 구문, 불리안 논리, 용어절단, 제한탐색 및 인접탐색기법 등을 통해 원하는 정보에 신속히 접근할 수 있다. This study is to review information retrieval techniques of VOCED database. The VOCED database contains internationally relevant information on vocational and adult education, training and related subjects. The software used is CDS/ISIS and the records are indexed using the APSDEP Thesaurus. When searching the VOCED database, various types of search techniques can be used. Multiple word, phrase, boolean logic, term truncation, defind field, and proximity searching techniques or a mixture of all of them, make it possible to find exactly what you want in seconds.

웹 기반 공공고용정보시스템 워크넷(Work-Net)평가에 관한 연구

A public information system is being expanded, along with the advance of information technology, to strengthen national competitiveness and provide people with better services. And there also is a growing need for the better performance of that system, as a tremendous amount of public finacial resources is invested in that. To address that need, it's required to make an evaluation of its efficiency on a regular basis to identify its problems and make it work better. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to examine the quality of data and services provided by the Work-Net, a Web-based public employment information system. The subjects in this study were 102 users of it, and the system was evaluated in terms of content, accuracy, timelines, display format, ease of use and customer support. For data analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA were implemented to find out the general characteristics of the users, and to see whether or not their view was different according to the type of information they searched for. The findings of this study are expected to lay some foundation for intensifying the efficiency of the public and private employment information systems. 정보기술의 발전과 더불어 국가경쟁력 및 대국민 서비스 강화를 위한 공공정보시스템의 구축이 확산되고 있다. 또한 막대한 공공재원이 투자되는 공공정보시스템은 효율성에 대한 정기적인 평가를 통한 존재가치의 입증 및 문제점 진단을 통한 성능개선의 요구도 증대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내의 대표적인 웹 기반 공공고용정보시스템 워크넷(Work-Net)의 데이터 및 서비스 품질을 102명의 이용자를 대상으로 평가하였다. 측정도구는 학계에서 많이 사용해온 정보내용, 정확성, 적시성, 출력형태, 사용의 용이성, 지원성으로 구성하였으며 t-test와 일원변량분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하여 이용자의 특성 및 검색정보에 따른 차이를 살펴보았다. 또한 최근 구직자들의 고용정보시스템에 대한 요구사항들을 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 공공 및 민간운영 고용정보시스템 운영체제 효율화에 기여할 수 있는 유용한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 본다.

This essay aims at re-illuminating The Monk (1796) which has been notoriously criticised for its lewdness and obscenity within the frame of recent debates on pornography. One big branch of the debates is firmly built on the belief that misogynous pornography is in complicity with patriarchy in subordination and objectification of women through sexually explicit and servile representation of women. On the other hand, some critics maintain that pornography can be used as an effective way of expressing not only female sexuality but various ‘different’ sexual identities that have been marginalized in a patriarchal society. Given the ambivalence for which The Monk is so famous, it is not unexpected that the text seems to accomodate both arguments. If one reads the text focusing on Antonia and other main characters who gain a happy conclusion at the price of accepting the dominant sexual ideology, The Monk becomes a women-hating and women-belittling pornographic text, where female bodies are simply either objects of male sexuality or a disgusting, corrupting and mangled mass. However, if one focuses on Matilda, who transgresses all fixed categories of sexual identity, gender identity, and even human/non-human identity, The Monk becomes a subversive, obscene, and pornographic text, where female desire for liberty can be fully gratified. Besides, The Monk as a pornographic text also contains the unspeakable crime of homo-eroticism safely repressed in the depth of the Ambrosio-Rosario story, from which it flees into a hyper-heterosexual relation of Ambrosio and Matilda before readers detect the latent homo-eroticism of Lewis himself.

The purpose of this paper is to review concerns and activities related to the library of Germany as well as to look over recent trends referred to the maintenance of the library and its information service system since the unification of Germany in 1990. In fact, since the unification, many libraries in old East Germany have been closed with some precious books being lost. Also since most of libraries are short of funds and proper materials, it is real situation that they can not actively respond to the demand of information by library users who want to adapt themselves to changed, while only urgently requesting some support from old West Germany. In the meantime, the new government and libraries of Germany are giving a great effort to building an efficent document delivery system through financial support for the expansion of books and the purchase of urgently necessary library equipments in the poor libraries of old East Germany and support for the course to re-educate the in-service or unemployeed librarians, and also systematic organization between similar libraries, integration of national bibliographies, and maintenance of the interlibrary loan system. The nationwide interlibrary loan system, an expanded form of the system of old West Germany, allows the delivery of document to be easily performed, centered on both central catalogues for East Germany and West. However, in order to build an efficient information service system which covers whole Germany, it seems there needs more time required
