With semiconductor scaling approaching the physical limits, devices including CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) components have managed to overcome yet are currently struggling with several technical issues like short-channel effects. Evolving from the process node of 22 nm with FinFET (fin field effect transistor), state-of-the-art semiconductor technology has reached the 3 nm node with the GAA-FET (gate-all-around FET), which appropriately addresses the main issues of power, performance, and cost. Technical problems remain regarding the foundry of GAA-FET, and next-generation devices called post-GAA transistors have not yet been devised, except for the CFET (complementary FET). We introduce a CFET that spatially stacks p- and n-channel FETs on the same footprint and describe its structure and fabrication. Technical details like stacking of nanosheets, special spacers, hetero-epitaxy, and selective recess are more thoroughly reviewed than in similar articles on CFET fabrication.
The Effect of Municipal Consolidation on Urban Manufacturing Productivity

This paper is focused on analyzing the effect of municipal consolidation on urban manufacturing productivity in Korea. The results indicated that the investments and government expenditures of the consolidated cities have higher impacts on urban labor productivities by generating agglomeration and network economies. Road expansion, on the other hand, generates a negative effect on productivity due to wider market openness from the improvement of spatial accessibility. Urban labor productivity can be maximized when the population size of the consolidated city is between 300,000 and 400,000 people. This size can be applied to setting up a guideline for reorganizing regional administrative units in Korea. 2상 SPMSM을 이용한 In-Wheel Motor의 신뢰성 평가

본 논문에서는 In-Wheel System의 핵심 부품인 2상 SPMSM을 적용한 In-Wheel Motor의 신뢰성을 평가 하였다. 여기서 In-Wheel System은 고성능의 전기모터를 Wheel에 직접 장착하여 파워트레인 요소를 모두 제거함으로써 차량 시스템의 효율을 높이고, 추후 친환경 차량에 적용할 수 있는 신개념의 플랫폼을 제공할 수 있는 고효율, 고성능 차량 시스템이다. 그리하여 이 In-Wheel System의 가장 중요한 부품 중 하나인 동기모터를 DC 링크전압 이용률을 높이기 위해 2상 PMSM을 적용하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 2상 SPMSM을 적용한 In-Wheel Motor를 제작하였고, 이 Motor의 신뢰성 평가 중 하나인 내구 수명인 수만 시간에 대한 검증 방안을 In-Wheel Motor의 운전 조건으로부터 가감속 토크 및 실효토크를 계산해서 이를 바탕으로 가속수명시험을 하여 시험시간을 단축하고, 또한 In-Wheel Motor의 신뢰성을 검증하는 방법을 제안하였다.
