자연계에 존재하는 미생물들 중에서 분리 동정하여 배양이 가능한 종류는 전체의 극히 일부분에 불과하다. 이미 알려진 많은 경우들에서 미생물의 산업적 응용이 인간에게 가져다 준 혜택을 생각한다면, 미생물의 산업적 응용은 앞으로 발전할 가능성이 거의 무한하다 할 것이다. 산업적 이용을 전제로 하여 자연계에서 미생물을 분리하고 이를 응용하는 분야는 자연 생태계 전반에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 하며, 따라서 미생물 생태학이 이 분야에서 차지하는 역할은 매우 중요하다. 이글에서는 미생물 생태학의 입장에서 원하는 균주를 자연에서 분리하는 과정을 각 부분별로 구체적으로 살펴보고자 한다.
한국연안해역의 (韓國沿岸海域) 석유분해세균 분포에 관한 연구

Petroleum-degrading bacteria were enumerated from the coastal water near Samcheonpo City and Cheonsu Bay with the Most-Probable-Number method. Number of petroleum-degrading bacteria fluctuated from 2.0×10 exp (2) to 1.1×10 exp (5) cells/litre in the coastal water near Samcheonpo City, and 3.6×10 exp (1) to 1.1×10 exp (4) cells/litre in Cheonsu Bay. The proportions of petroleum-degrading bacteria to total viable counts were in the range of 2.1% to 0.00012%. In both study areas, ratio of petroleum-degrading bacteria at autumn showed the maximal value. Enterobacteriaceae, Vibrio, Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Flavobacterium, Acinetobacter, Micrococcus, Aerococcus and Aeromonas were isolated. Enterobacteriaceae, Vibrio and Pseudomonas were found dominantly. The observed results may be provided for understanding the level of potentiality of microbial petroleum-degradation in the research area.

Since 1960, Korean economy has been established high degree of economic growth under the planned economic system by emphasis on government policy. However, competiveness of small and medium size business has been weakend relatively compared with the large size business. Nevertheless, the weights of employment ratio, value of products, value added and value of exports increased higher than the large size business from 1980 to 1997. Government should intensify the international competiveness and equilibrium development of large size business and small and medium size business through the intensive support and breeding policy. This study aims to suggest the policy alternatives and development directions of small and medium size business(SMB). This study focussed on the definition and characteristics, national economic role and weights, problems and breeding alternatives in SMB. To solve this study aims, the breeding policy alternatives are as follows : 1. To promote continuous knowledge intensification in SMB by efficient allocation of management resources. 2. To increase the professional manpower through the flexibility of labor market and development of demand oriented manpower. 3. To improve the financial structure and to enhance the long term capital investment in SMB. In conclusion, it is necessary to improve the efficient management and put emphasis on the customer oriented product innovation and quality improvement through the SMB own efforts.
자동수질측정장치 개발 - 발광미생물을 이용한 수질오염조기경보장치 및 정보전송네트워크 개발

Distribution and Activity of Hheterotrophic Bacteria in the Mudflat of Nakdong River Estuary

Distribution pattern and activity of heterotrophec bacteria were measured in the mudflat of Nakdong river estuary. In March and June, 1985, community sizes of amylolytic, lipolytic and proteolytic bacteria as well as total viable counts were measured. Vertical distribution of bacterial community size increased a few orders of magnitude from Narch to June. Heterotrophic activity was estimated in turnover time with $U-[^{14}C]-glucose$. Turnover time reduced considerably in June compared to that of March. To sxamine correlations for measured bacterial groups, turnover time and environmental factors, correlation coefficient matrix was obtained. These measured characteristics did not consistently correlate well with one another.
