        소형 화목보일러의 개발 및 성능시험

        In the present study, a new wood boiler was developed through the performance test. The efficiency of the boiler was obtained up to about 63.7%, which is 67% higher than that of conventional wood boiler, about 38.2%. The structure of the new boiler is more complicated than the conventional boiler. The passage of combustion gas is sufficiently long to exchange heat well with heating water. Therefore, the obtained efficiency is so high, and the temperature of exhaust gas was lower than 200$^{\circ}C$, which is as low as that of light oil boiler. The composition of exhaust gas was measured, and the CO gas concentration was obtained more than 3000 ppm. So, it seems that more study is needed to lower the concentration of CO gas.

        설비공학 분야의 최근 연구 동향

        This article reviews the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering during 2012. It is intended to understand the status of current research in the areas of heating, cooling, ventilation, sanitation, and indoor environments of buildings and plant facilities. The conclusions are as follows: (1) The research works on thermal and fluid engineering have been reviewed as groups of fluid machinery, pipes and valves, fuel cells and power plants, ground-coupled heat pumps, and general heat and mass transfer systems. Research issues are mainly focused on new and renewable energy systems, such as fuel cells, ocean thermal energy conversion power plants, and ground-coupled heat pump systems. (2) Research works on the heat transfer area have been reviewed in the categories of heat transfer characteristics, pool boiling and condensing heat transfer, and industrial heat exchangers. Researches on heat transfer characteristics included the results for natural convection in a square enclosure with two hot circular cylinders, non-uniform grooved tube considering tube expansion, single-tube annular baffle system, broadcasting LED light with ion wind generator, mechanical property and microstructure of SA213 P92 boiler pipe steel, and flat plate using multiple tripping wires. In the area of pool boiling and condensing heat transfer, researches on the design of a micro-channel heat exchanger for a heat pump, numerical simulation of a heat pump evaporator considering the pressure drop in the distributor and capillary tubes, critical heat flux on a thermoexcel-E enhanced surface, and the performance of a fin-and-tube condenser with non-uniform air distribution and different tube types were actively carried out. In the area of industrial heat exchangers, researches on a plate heat exchanger type dehumidifier, fin-tube heat exchanger, an electric circuit transient analogy model in a vertical closed loop ground heat exchanger, heat transfer characteristics of a double skin window for plant factory, a regenerative heat exchanger depending on its porous structure, and various types of plate heat exchangers were performed. (3) In the field of refrigeration, various studies were executed to improve refrigeration system performance, and to evaluate the applicability of alternative refrigerants and new components. Various topics were presented in the area of refrigeration cycle. Research issues mainly focused on the enhancement of the system performance. In the alternative refrigerant area, studies on CO2, R32/R152a mixture, and R1234yf were performed. Studies on the design and performance analysis of various compressors and evaporator were executed. (4) In building mechanical system research fields, twenty-nine studies were conducted to achieve effective design of mechanical systems, and also to maximize the energy efficiency of buildings. The topics of the studies included heating and cooling, HVAC system, ventilation, renewable energy systems, and lighting systems in buildings. New designs and performance tests using numerical methods and experiments provide useful information and key data, which can improve the energy efficiency of buildings. (5) In the fields of the architectural environment, studies for various purposes, such as indoor environment, building energy, and renewable energy were performed. In particular, building energy-related researches and renewable energy systems have been mainly studied, reflecting interests in global climate change, and efforts to reduce building energy consumption by government and architectural specialists. In addition, many researches have been conducted regarding indoor environments.

      • 멀티플랫폼 CFD 전처리장치의 개발

        Multi-platform CFD Pre-processor which supports both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems is being deveolped using wxWidgets GUI library and OpenGL 3D Graphics library. This pre-processor is designed for the beginners who want to learn CFD and especially for the student who want to carry out mesh generation more easily. Mesh generating module is created with the classification of the subjects in the Fluid Mechanics Class. This program can be updated to generate input files for the various CFD Solver or Commercial codes. The developer will be pleased to co-work with the researchers who want to join.

        일본 프롤레타리아 연극 전성기의 담당자

        본 연구는 일본 프롤레타리아 연극운동이 전성기(1920년대 중반에서 30년대 초반)를 맞이하는 데 공헌한 무라야마 도모요시(1901∼1977)와 사노 세키(1905∼1966)의 예술 활동들을 살펴보고, 특히 그들의 협동 작업이 이루어진 공연의 성과에 대해 고찰하려는 것이다. 이 시기의 프롤레타리아 연극운동은 예술이론이 실천을 선도했는데, 그에 따라 극단들은 주로 사회민주주의를 지향하는 측과 마르크스주의를 부르짖는 측 두 진영으로 나누어지고 연극인들 또한 이합집산의 양태를 보였다. 흩어져 있던 연극인들과 문화 단체들은 구라하라 고레히토(?原惟人, 1902∼1991)의 예술운동 통합 이론에 따라 활동을 같이 하게 되는데, 조직적으로는 나프(NAPF)가 생기고 거기에 프롯트(PROT)가 가맹하자 프롤레타리아 연극운동 전체의 기운이 한꺼번에 분출되는 기반이 마련되었으며, 무라야마와 사노의 협동 작업 또한 이때 본격적으로 이루어지게 된다. 이 연구는 같은 시기 한국에서도 비슷하게 일어난 좌익연극계의 움직임을 보다 자세하게 다루는 데 기초적인 자료의 일환이 될 것이다. This study looks at the main stream of proletarian theatrical movement, from the mid-1920s until the early 1930s, led by Murayama Tomoyoshi (1901∼1977) and Sano Seki (1905-1966), both of whom contributed to its golden age. In particular, their collaborative performance on the stage is carefully examined. Though the theatrical movement was led by an art theorist named Kurahara Korehito (1902-1991), it developed around the actual implementation, that is staging. Theatrical artists gathered and broke up, resulting in a number of segmented theatrical companies. But there were two main camps: Marxists and social democrats. Then the segmented theatrical figures and groups joined together again according to the theory of Kurahara Korehito, and establishment of the Japanese Proletarian Arts Federation (NAPF) with the participation of the Japan Proletarian Theatre League (PROT) allowed basis for the full explosion of the energy in the theatrical movement once and for all. An earnest collaboration between Murayama and Sano coincided at this time.

      • NUFLEX의 전후처리장치 개발

        A GUl based pre/post processor program, which is based on the MFC and OpenGL library in the Windows O/S, has been developed for NUFLEX. Using this program, users are able to generate and modify structured or unstructured grid geometries, set all the parameters for the solver, and observe the results of the simulation in graphic view by vector or scalar plots. The mesh geometry data can be imported from or exported to other programs by supporting functions for reading from and writing to CGNS data format files.

        Following the previous study of the author last year, multi-platform CFD pre-processor which supports both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems is being deveolped using wxWidgets GUI library and OpenGL 3D Graphics library. This pre-processor is designed for the beginners who want to learn CFD and especially for the student who want to carry out mesh generation more easily. Mesh generating module for 3D rectangular channel is added to this program. Meshes for the various CFD Solver or Commercial codes can be made using this pre-processor. The author will be glad to co-work with anyone who want to participate in developing this program.

        가스터빈 연소기에서 화염의 위치를 고려한 열음향 해석

        Authors’ previous works on thermoacoustic(TA) model development showed good results in predicting combustion instability characteristics in a gas turbine combustor. However, they also suggested there were some limitations in growth rate estimation, which might be related with over-simplification of flame structure. As a first trial for improving the model accuracy, the current paper introduces the modified TA model considering the actual flame location in the combustor. The combustor is divided into the unburned and the burned area before and after the flame location, and then acoustic equations are re-organized. The modified TA model results show a better accuracy in predicting the growth rate of instabilities comparing with the previous results. However, obtained results still overestimate the conditions where the combustor goes unstable. Further researches considering heat release distribution through flames are required.
