Determination of Siloxanes in Biogas by Solid-phase Adsorption on Activated Carbon

The objective of this study was to develop a simple, less time-consuming and accurate sampling technique based on solid-phase sorption with activated carbon as the sorbents. The results from solid-phase sorption techniques were compared to that from a conventional solvent impinger-based technique to confirm the efficacy of the proposed method. The laboratory results indicated that the solid-phase sorption method was suitable for the determination of siloxanes as the measured concentrations were similar to that from a solvent impinge method. The data from solid-phase sorption method showed excellent recovery and reproducibility while the sampling was less labor intensive and less time consuming than the solvent impinge method. Following the laboratory tests, the solid-phase sorption technique was successfully applied to sampling biogas from a field site. This study shows that the activated carbon-based solid-phase sorption can be a reliable and less time-consuming option for the sampling and collection of siloxanes under various different landfill conditions.

교통검지체계는 도로상에서 교통자료 및 정보수집체계로 이해될 수 있는데, 이는 도로 상에서 교통량, 속도 및 점유율 정보를 수집하여 현 상태에서 도로상의 교통소통정보 즉, 혼잡 또는 비혼잡 등의 교통류상태, 또한 이보다 더 구체적인 내용으로서 LOS A~F로 표현되어지는 교통류 상태의 질 등을 파악하여 현 교통체계가 문제가 있는지 없는지에 관한 판단, 그리고 문제가 있다면 어느 지점(또는 구간)이 문제가 있는지, 그리고 문제의 원인은 무엇인지, 문제로 인해 발생되고 파급된 영향은 어느 정도인지, 또한 이를 해결하기 위한 방안은 무엇인지 찾고자하는데 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 당하는 체계로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 지점검지체계가 주를 이루고 있는 현재의 교통검지체계는 많은 한계점을 지니고 있으며, 이의 보완을 위해 본 연구에서는 구간검지체계의 이론적 구조 검토, 현장조사를 통한 검지체계별 자료특성 비교, 그리고 최적 구간검지간격 결정을 위한 분석을 수행하였다. 또한, 교통정책, 교통관리 및 이용자서비스 측면의 기능강화를 위해 기존 검지체계의 보완을 위한 새로운 교통검지체계 설치기준을 제시하였다. A traffic detection system can be deemed as a traffic data and information collection system to serve traffic policies, traffic management, and user services. The system plays a crucial role in verifying whether or not the current traffic system has issues or problems by checking out traffic data. In addition, the system does so in finding out a point or a section where an issue or a problem has occurred, if any, and in examining the causes of the issue or problem, the extent of its impact that has occurred and spread, and a method for resolving it. However, the existing point detection system of Korea has too many flaws. In order to fix the flaws, in this paper, the theoretical characteristics of the section detection system were researched in relation to the calculation of travel time. In addition, the travel time of probe cars was obtained by field survey, and it was compared to that of spot and section detection data. Then, simulation was performed to determine the optimal section detection interval. In conclusion, introduction of optimal section detection system was examined in order to achieve the advanced road management including traffic policy, traffic management, and user services.
바이오디젤 생산을 위한 원료로서 국내 도시 하수슬러지의 활용성 평가(Ⅰ) -지방산메틸에스테르(FAMEs)의 수율 및 조성 비교-

This study was performed to assess the possibility of application of sewage sludge which is the side-product from domestic sewage treatment plant to the materials for biodiesels by investigating the yields and composition of the lipids and fatty acid methyl esters(FAMEs) from soxhlet extraction and in-situ transesterification. As the results, yields of in-situ transesterification were higher than soxhlet extraction. In comparison by sewage sludge type, yields of sewage sludge mixed nightsoil or livestock were higher than a single sewage sludge. And maximum yield showed up to 14 wt%. Fatty acid composition of extracted lipids and synthesized FAMEs consists of palmitic acid(C16:0), palmitoleic acid(C16:1), stearic acid(C18:0), oleic acid(C18:1), and linoleic acid(C18:2).
