        태권도 수련에 따른 남자 중학생의 기초체력, 혈중 지질성분과 성장관련인자에 대한 비교

        본 연구에서는 태권도 운동강도에 따른 남자 중학생들의 기초체력, 혈중 지질 성분 및 성장관련 인자들을 비교 분석하기 위하 여 22명의 중학생들(태권도 선수 7명, 수련생 7명, 비 수련생 8명)을 대상으로 연구하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫 째, 기초체력에서는 좌?우 악력 및 윗몸일으키기에서는 태권도 선수와 도장 수련생 그룹이 비 수련생 그룹에 비하여 통계적으로 높게 나타났지만(p<.05), 배근력 및 서전트 점프에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 혈중지질성분에서는 TC 는 태권도 선수와 도장 수련생 그룹이 비 수련생그룹에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 낮게 나타났으며(p<.05), LDL-C는 태권도 선수 그룹이 도장 수련생과 비 수련생그룹에 비해 유의의하게 낮게 나타났고(p<.05), HDL-C는 태권도 선수와 도장 수련생 그룹이 비 수련생 그룹 보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 셋째. 성장인자 에서는 GH과 IGF-1 모두 태권도 선수와 도장 수련생 그룹에서 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 이상과 같은 결과는 남자 중학생들의 태권도 수련과 같은 규칙적인 신체활동도 기초체력, 혈중지 질 성분 및 성장인자에 긍정적인 효과를 초래할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to identify the comparison of the physical fitness, blood lipids and growth relation factors for male middle school student by taekwondo practice. Participants were divided into 3 groups, taekwondo elite player gorup(N=7), taekwondo practice group(N=7) and control group(N=8). The results of the study can be summarized as follow : First, physical fitness showed that left and right grip strength and sit-up increased from taekwondo elite player and practice groups(p<.05). However, the back strength and sergeant jump was not significant among groups. Second, blood lipids showed that TC??decreased from taekwondo elite player and practice groups(p<.05), LDL-C decreased from taekwondo elite player(p<.05), but that HDL-C increased from taekwondo elite player and practice groups(p<.05). Third, growth relation factors showed that GH and IGF-I increased from taekwondo elite player and practice groups(p<.05). In conclusions, this study suggests that taekwondo practice??can improve physical fitness and growth relation factors, alter blood lipids for male middle school student.

        Application of machine learning in rheumatic disease research

        Over the past decade, there has been a paradigm shift in how clinical data are collected, processed and utilized. Machine learning and artificial intelligence, fueled by breakthroughs in high-performance computing, data availability and algorithmic innovations, are paving the way to effective analyses of large, multi-dimensional collections of patient histories, laboratory results, treatments, and outcomes. In the new era of machine learning and predictive analytics, the impact on clinical decision-making in all clinical areas, including rheumatology, will be unprecedented. Here we provide a critical review of the machine-learning methods currently used in the analysis of clinical data, the advantages and limitations of these methods, and how they can be leveraged within the field of rheumatology.

        압축 기법을 이용한 WSP의 기능 확장과 성능 평가

        Wireless Session Protocol(WSP) which was updated and supplemented based on HyperText Transfer Protocol(HTTP) was designed by Wireless Application Protocol(WAP) forum regarding the characteristics of wireless environment. WSP improved the performance in wireless network, and introduced various facilities considering wireless environment. In this paper, we more improve the performance of WSP adding protocol message compression capability; we call improved WSP protocol as WSP+. And, we analysis the performance of each protocol with WSP and WSP+ implementation. As a result of experiment, the capability which proposed in this paper reduced a response traffic about 45%. In{10 }^{-4} Wireless Application Protocol(WAP) 포럼에서는 무선 환경의 특성에 적합하도록 HyperText Transfer Protocol(HTTP)를 수정 보완한 Wireless Session Protocol(WSP)를 제안하였다. WSP는 무선 구간에서의 프로토콜 성능을 상당부분 개선하였고, 무선 환경을 고려한 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 WSP에 프로토콜 메시지 압축 기능을 추가하여 기존 프로토콜의 성능을 더욱 개선하였다. 그리고, 기존의 WSP 구현물과 프로토콜 메시지 압축 기능을 추가한 WSP+ 구현물의 성능을 측정하고 비교하였다. 그 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 프로토콜 메시지 압축기능은 기존 WSP에 비하여 응답 트래픽을 약 45% 감소시켰다. 그리고, 비트 오류 발생률이{10 }^{-4}

      • 공산권에 대한 미국의 한국 방위태세 추이: 1945~1950 -미국측의 전략정보 비밀자료를 중심으로-

        Soviet and U.S. Armed forces entered into the Korean peninsula in August and September, 1945, respectively. That was the beginning of the Russo-American confrontation. From that point on to Korean War in 1950, the United States and Soviet Union initiated the Cold War in Asia for the purpose of enlarging their territories into their sphere. At the same time, the United States and Soviet Union were engaged in strategic initiatives and intelligence maneuvers on the Korean peninsula. This confrontational situation was resulted into the hot Korean War. After consolidating their Communist system of government in the North, soviet Union exerted their efforts to enlarge their sphere of influence into South Korea by infiltrating and directing insurgency into the South. The United States XXIVth Corps also sparred no time to Mobilize their Humit and Comint abilities to Collect valuable information and intelligence on the part of Russians and North Korea, and they had certain success in that respect. The withdrawn American forces from South Korea in June 1949 did not go too far through Pacific, but most of them were relocated in Japan proper and Okinawa. As soon as the Korea War was broken out, they were the first ones to come to the aid of Korea, at the prompt directions by the American leadership and the Far East Command in Japan in order to repel the North Korean invasion forces and to unify the Korean peninsula at the close of war. Nonetheless, the American intelligence made fatal mistakes in their estimates on the Chinese intervention, even though they were provided with plenty of valuable information and intelligence. They say, all faults came about from MacArthur's habitual tendency of not compromising with his intelligence staff.

        Role of placenta growth factor in cancer and inflammation

        Accumulating evidences have documented that angiogenesis is closely linked to inflammation and regulators of angiogenesis play key roles in various inflammatory conditions. PlGF is an angiogenic protein belonging to the VEGF family and is upregulated mainly in pathologic conditions. Recently, PlGF was discovered having a proinflammatory role in inflammatory arthritis and its serum level drew attention not only as a useful surrogate biomarker but also a potential therapeutic target in atherosclerosis and various cancers. Particularly, PlGF has attractive clinical values because endogenous PlGF is redundant for vascular development and physiological vessel maintenance in healthy adults. However, there have been conflicting results about the efficacy of PlGF inhibition depending on the experimental and clinical settings. Further close investigations for resolving the puzzle of PlGF biology are required.

        Association of Uveitis with Radiographic Progression in Patients with Axial Spondyloarthritis: A Propensity Score Matching Analysis

        Objective. Acute anterior uveitis (AAU) is the most common extra-articular manifestation in patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). However, the relationship between AAU and radiographic progression in axSpA remains unclear. Hence, we investigated whether the presence of AAU is associated with radiographic structural damage in patients with axSpA. Methods. Clinical and radiographic data were obtained from 253 patients with axSpA. Radiographic progression over 2 years was assessed using the modified Stoke Ankylosing Spondylitis Spine Score (mSASSS). Progression was defined as mSASSS worsening by ≥two units. Using propensity score (PS) matching, differences between patients with and without AAU were analyzed. Results. The proportion of progressors among patients with AAU was lower than that of patients without AAU (13.6% vs. 29.5%, p=0.058). The rate of increase in mSASSS and number of syndesmophytes were lower in patients with AAU than patients without AAU (0.57±1.37 vs. 1.02±1.79, p=0.085 and 0.46±1.45 vs. 0.83±1.62, p=0.158). In multivariate regression analysis, presence of AAU was independently associated with slowed radiographic progression (odds ratio [95% confidence interval] 0.21 [0.07, 0.67], p=0.004). Conclusion. PS-matched axSpA patients with AAU showed significantly less radiographic progression than those without AAU.
