        아토피 피부염 모델에 대한 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 Lactobacillus plantarum LM1004의 면역 조절 효과

        본 연구에서는 아토피 피부염 동물 모델에 대한 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004의 면역조절 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 가려움증의 횟수와 유출된 evans blue, 그리고 혈청 IgE와 histamine의 농도는 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004를 섭취한 그룹에서 아토피 피부염 유발그룹에 비해 유의적으로 감소하는 결과를 나타내었다. 아토피 피부염이 유발되면 전사 수준에서 Th2 및 Th17 세포의 전사인자 및 cytokine은 과발현되며, β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004를 섭취하였을 때 이를 유의적으로 감소되었다. 또한 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004는 Th1 및 Treg 세포의 전사인자(T-bet, GATA-3, RORγT, Foxp3) 및 cytokine (INF-γ, IL-4, IL-17, TGF-β)의 발현을 증가시킴으로써 면역 균형을 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. Galectin-9과 filaggrin은 아토피 피부염 유발 처리군에서 유의적으로 가장 낮았으며, β-1,3/1,6-glucan 처리군에서 유의적으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 이와 반대로 TSLP는 아토피 피부염 유발그룹에서 유의적으로 가장 높았으며 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004를 섭취한 그룹은 대조군과 유사한 수준이었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004는 아토피 피부염 동물 모델에서 면역조절 작용 및 아토피 피부염의 개선 효과를 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 β-1,3/1,6-glucan과 L. plantarum LM1004는 아토피 피부염에 유용한 천연소재로서 사용될 것으로 기대된다. In this study, we examined the efficacy of the immune regulation of β-1,3/1,6-glucan and Lactobacillus plantarum LM1004 on atopic dermatitis models. The oral administration of β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004 on mice significantly decreased the amount of scratching, leakage to evans blue, and concentrations of serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) and histamine compared with the atopic dermatitis–induced group. When atopic dermatitis was induced, the transcription factors (GATA-3, retinoic acid-related orphan receptor γ T [RORγT]) and cytokines (interleukin-4 [IL-4], IL-17) of Th2 and Th17 cells were overexpressed at the transcriptional level, and they significantly decreased with oral administration of β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004. In addition, β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004 were shown to modulate the immune balance by increasing the expression of Th1 and Treg transcription (T-bet, forkhead box p3 [Foxp3]) and cytokines (interferon-γ [IFN-γ], transforming growth factor-β [TGF-β]). Galectin-9 and filaggrin were significantly lower in the atopic dermatitis–induced group and significantly higher in the β-1,3/1,6-glucan-treated group. In contrast, thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) was highest in the atopic dermatitis–induced group, while mice that were orally administered β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004 showed similar TSLP levels to the control group. These results indicate that β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004 have immunomodulatory effects and atopic dermatitis improvement effects in an animal model of atopic dermatitis. Therefore, it is expected that β-1,3/1,6-glucan and L. plantarum LM1004 can be used as natural materials in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

        WLAN을 위한 5.2GHz/2.4GHz 이중대역 주차수 합성기의 설계

        본 논문은 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정으로 설계된 5.2GHz와 2.4GHz 이중 대역 무선 송수신기를 위한 주파수합성기를 제안한다. 2.4GHz 주파수는 스위치드 커패시터와 2분주기를 동작시켜서 발생시키고, 5.2GHz는 전압 제어 발진기의 출력 주파수로부터 직접 발생시키도록 설계하였다. 제안된 주파수합성기의 전체 전력소모는 25mW이며, 전압 제어 발진기의 전력소모는 3.6mW이다. 모의 실험된 주파수 합성기의 위상 잡음은 스위치드 커패시터 회로가 동작할 때, 200kHz 옵셋 주파수에서 -101.36dBc/Hz이고, 락킹 시간은 $4{\mu}s$이다. This paper presents a frequency synthesizer(FS) for 5.2GHz/2.4GHz dual band wireless applications which is designed in a standard $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS1P6M process. The 2.4GHz frequency is obtained from the 5.2GHz output frequency of Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) by using the Switched Capacitor (SC) and the divider-by-2. Power dissipations of the proposed FS and VCO are 25mW and 3.6mW, respectively. The tuning range of VCO is 700MHz and the locking time is $4{\mu}s$. The simulated phase noise of PLL is -101.36dBc/Hz at 200kHz offset frequency from 5.0GHz with SCA circuit on.

        Background: Irbersartan, an orally active antihypertensive agent, effectively reduces blood pressure by blocking angiotensin II receptors without any significant adverse effects. The purpose of this study is to compare the antihypertensive efficacy, safety and tolerability of irbesartan and enalapril in hypertensive patients. Methods: In this two centers, double-blind, randomized, non-inferiority study, the efficacy, safety and tolerability of once-daily irbesartan(150mg) versus once-daily enalapril(10mg) were evaluated over 8 weeks in 67 patients who had diastolic pressure between 95mmHg and 114mmHg on two measurements. If trough sitting diastolic blood pressure was equal to or greater than 90mmHg after a 4-week treatment period, the dosage for both study drugs was doubled until the end of the study. Baseline pressures, antihypertensive effect, side effects, laboratory findings were compared before and after treatment. Results: Data from 57 of 67 patients were eligible for intention to treat analysis. After the 8 weeks treatment with dose titration, mean reductions in peak sitting diastolic blood pressure were 11.9mmHg(95% confidence interval 7.61 -16.13) with irbesartan and 10.9mmHg$(95%\;confidence\;interval\;7.05{\sim}14.70)$ with enalapril. There was no significant difference between the two treatments in the percentage of patients achieving an effective blood pressure reduction or in the degree of change in mean systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure. Safety profiles were also similar between treatments. Conclusions: The antihypertensive efficacy of once-daily administration of irbesartan is non-inferior to that of enalapril in hypertensive patients. Both irbesartan and enalapril are well tolerated with similar safety profiles.

        RFID 태그 칩용 로직 공정 기반 256bit EEPROM IP 설계 및 측정

        본 논문에서는 logic 공정 기반의 소자만 사용한 256bit EEPROM IP를 설계하였다. 소자간의 전압을 신뢰성이 보장되는 5.5V 이내로 제한하기위해 EEPROM의 코어 회로인 CG (Control Gate)와 TG (Tunnel Gate) 구동 회로를 제안하였다. 그리고 DC-DC converter인 VPP (=+4.75V), VNN (-4.75V)과 VNNL (=VNN/3) generation 회로를 제안하였고 CG와 TG 구동 회로에 사용되는 switching power인 CG_HV, CG_LV, TG_HV, TG_LV, VNNL_CG와 VNNL_TG 스위칭 회로를 설계하였다. 일반적인 모의실험 조건에서 read, program, erase 모드의 전력 소모는 각각 $12.86{\mu}W$, $22.52{\mu}W$, $22.58{\mu}W$으로 저전력 소모를 갖는다. 그리고 테스트 칩을 측정한 결과 256bit이 정상적으로 동작을 하였으며, VPP, VNN, VNNL은 4.69V, -4.74V, -1.89V로 목표 전압 레벨이 나왔다. In this paper, we design a 256-bit EEPROM IP using only logic process-based devices. We propose EEPROM core circuits, a control gate (CG) and a tunnel gate (TG) driving circuit, to limit the voltages between the devices within 5.5V; and we propose DC-DC converters : VPP (=+4.75V), VNN (-4.75V), and VNNL (=VNN/3) generation circuit. In addition, we propose switching powers, CG_HV, CG_LV, TG_HV, TG_LV, VNNL_CG, VNNL_TG switching circuit, to be supplied for the CG and TG driving circuit. Simulation results under the typical simulation condition show that the power consumptions in the read, erase, and program mode are $12.86{\mu}W$, $22.52{\mu}W$, and $22.58{\mu}W$ respectively. Furthermore, the manufactured test chip operated normally and generated its target voltages of VPP, VNN, and VNNL as 4.69V, -4.74V, and -1.89V.

      • 위암에서 E-cadherin과 $\beta-catenin$ 발현과 유전자 돌연변이에 관한 연구

        Purpose: When cancer cels invade the stroma, they should be dissociated from the adjacent cells at first. E-cadherin and $\beta-catenin$ constitute an important protein complex associated with cellular adhesion, development, and differentiation, especially in epithelial cells. The role of E-cadherin and $\beta-catenin$ in gastric carcinogenesis were studied. Materials and Methods: The expression of E-cadherin and $\beta-catenin$ in gastric adenocarcinomas by using immunohistochemical staining and the mutation by using polymerase chain reaction- single stranded conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) and sequencing were performed in 40 adenocarcinomas and 5 dysplasia of stomach. Thirteen cases, which had lymph node metastasis, were also included for immunohistochemical staining. Results: Inappropriate cytoplasmic and/or nuclear expression of a E-cadherin-$\beta-catenin$ complex was more frequent in poorly differentiated, diffuse type signet ring cell carcinomas than in well-differentiated, intestinal type adenocarcinomas (P<0.05). However, the expression was not related with clinical stage or lymph node metastasis. Mutation of E-cadherin was detected in 4 cases by using PCR-SSCP, whereas mutation of $\beta-catenin$ was detected in 2 cases. Conclusion: E-cadherin and $\beta-catenin$ seem to be important in gastric carcinogenesis, especially in poorly differentiated diffuse type.

        Well differentiated fetal adenocarcinoma of the lung Is a subtype of pulmonary blastoma. In this report, CT-guided fine needle aspiration smears were performed at the right upper lobe of the lung in a 45 year-old male patient who had the smoking history of one pack per day for 25 years. The smears disclosed round, papillary, and tubular patterns of cell clusters. The individual cells had relatively uniform, small to medium sized nuclei without nucleoli, and showed vesicular or eosinophilic cytoplasm with Indistinct cell border. The morules were seen in the central area of papillary clusters. They were composed of two cell types, outer single layered cuboidal cellular lining and central three-dimensional cluster of cells simulating fetal lung. These cytologic features need to be differentiated from usual pulmonary adenocarcinoma, carcinoid, and pulmonary blastoma. On histologic findings, the tumor arised in the bronchial epithelium. And the tumor cells had abundant intracytoplasmic glycogen with neuroendocrine feature on histochemical study. In addition, the multiplicity of this tumor is the unique point comparable to the previous reports.

        Falls and fall-related injuries are common in older population and have deleterious effects to the quality of life or independence of daily living in the elderly. Falling is also associated with substantial morbidity, mortality, nursing home admission and the increase of medical costs. Because Korea has shown extreme demographic shift with its population aging at the fastest pace among developed country, assessment of fall risks and intervention to high risk population are getting more important. The guideline for prevention of falls was developed first by The Korean Association of Internal Medicine and The Korean Geriatric Society. This guideline was developed by adaptation process as evidence-based method; four guidelines were retrieved by systematic review and the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation II process, seven statements were made with the grading of evidence and recommendations followed the Grades of Recommendation, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation framework. Because falls result from various combinations of many factors, the guideline contains multidimensional assessment and multimodal strategy to prevent falls. This guideline was developed for not only primary physician but also patients and general population, therefore it provides detailed recommendations and concrete measures to assess the risk and prevent falls in older people.         송양공(宋襄公)을 위한 변명(辨明) ―신(信)과 춘추시기(春秋時期) 패주(覇主)의 자격

        이 글의 목적은 《春秋》와 三傳을 통해 宋襄公의 모순적ㆍ문제적 행적을 齊桓公 사망 전후의 국제정세의 맥락에서 입체적으로 재구성하고 그 역사적 의의를 탐색하는 데에 있다. 특히 패주 시스템을 구동하는 데에 “信”이 어떠한 위상과 의미를 갖는지 정밀하게 고찰하여, 춘추 시기의 시대적 지향과 문화적 공동체의 형성을 새롭게 사유하는 계기를 마련하고자 한다. 제환공은 패주 시스템을 개발하여 구축한 창업자이긴 하지만 당시에는 그러한 시스템이 어떻게 구동하는지 완전히 파악하지 못한 상황이었다. 더욱이 주나라 문화권 외부와 접촉과 갈등이 심화하면서 제환공의 패주 시스템은 확장과 보수의 과정에 있었다. 제환공 사망 전후 약 20년의 혼란은 그 해답을 찾기 위한 과정이라 할 수 있다. 송양공은 이 시기에 등장하여 晉獻公ㆍ秦穆公ㆍ晉惠公ㆍ晉文公ㆍ楚成王ㆍ鄭文公 등 여러 주체와 직간접적으로 상호작용하면서 패주 시스템의 작동 방식과 한계를 모색한 인물이었다. 《춘추》와 三傳에서 그린 송양공의 행적과 평가는 당시의 혼란만큼이나 모순적이고 입체적이다. 이러한 점에서 보면 송양공이라는 인물 자체가 패주 시스템에 대한 근본적 질문을 상징하고 있다. The purpose of this article is to reconstruct Duke Xiang of Song's contradictory and problematic activities and his historical significance in the context of the international situation through three commentary of Spring and Autumn Annals. For the twenty years before and after the death of Duke Huan of Qi, who was the first Hegemon of the Spring and Autumn Period, a lot of duke had struggled for the hegemony of Chinese League, and Duke Xiang of Song was the first mover. But after the Battle of Hongshui, he eliminated from the competition. Why He failed? In the process of tracing the causes of his failure particular, we can obtain an opportunity to consider the formation of cultural community by considering the status and meaning of “trust信” in operating the system.

        나노리포좀으로 코팅된 Hemicellulase가 당근의 연화작용에 미치는 효과

        The objective is to investigate effect of liposome coated hemicellulose on softening of carrot. To encapsulate hemicellulose in nanoliposome, 2% hemicellulase and 2% lecithin were processed by using high-speed homogenizer (10,000 rpm, 3 min) and ultrasonification (200 W, 54%). The carrot were cut into cylinder type (3×1 cm) and then immersed in distilled water (DW, control), hemicellulase (He) and nanoliposome coated hemicellulose (He/NL) for 48 h at 4oC. The final concentration of hemicellulose is 1% (w/v). The droplets properties of He, NL, He/NL analyzed using zeta-sizer. Moreover, the carrots treated different immersed solutions were characterized by measuring hardness, color, microstructural observation and enzyme activity (glucose contents). For the results, hardness of carrot immersed in He or He/NL solution decreased after 48 h by 47% or 31% (outline of carrot) and 35% or 31% (center of carrot) respectively compared to control (7,240 g). The total color difference value of all samples increased over immersion time. For microstructural observation, cell was destroyed after 24 h at He solution. For the enzyme activity, glucose contents of carrot in He solution increased than it in He/NL at 0 h sample however the enzyme activity was no significant difference with immersion time.

      • 암환자의 삶의 질에 대한 연구

        연구목적: 암환자의 삶의 질과 암 이외의 질환을 가진 일반 환자 및 질병이 없는 군에서의 삶의 질과의 차이를 밝히고자 하였다. 방 법: 58명의 암환자군, 202명의 일반 환자군과 229명의 질병이 없는 정상인군을 대상으로 한국어판 세계보건 기구 삶의 질 척도 (WHOQOL)를 이용, 삶의 질을 평가하게 하여 공변량분석과 사후분석을 통해 비교하고, 경로분석을 통해 하부영역들 사이의 관계를 알아보았다. 결 과: 삶의 질 점수가 암환자군이 가장 낮았고 일반 환자군, 정상인군의 순서를 보였다. 암환자의 경우 특히 신체적 영역, 독립성 영역에서 삶의 질 점수가 가장 낮았고, 정신적 영역, 환경 영역, 영성 영역에서도 유의하게 낮았으나, 사회 영역에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 암환자군과 일반 환자군간에서 통계적으로 차이가 나지 않는 영역은 정신적 영역과 환경 영역이었다. 영성 영역에 서는 암환자군이 일반 환자군에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 경로분석 결과 암환자에서는 정신적인 삶의 질이 최종적으로 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 결 론: 이러한 결과는 암환자의 삶의 질은 정상인은 물론, 일반 환자들보다 나쁘다는 것과, 특히 암환자에게 신체적 고통, 독립성 유지 그리고 영성 문제에 보다 많은 도움이 필요하다는 것, 그리고 최종적으로 정신적 삶의 질이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다. Objectives:This study was purposed to evaluate the quality of life of cancer patients and compare it with those of general medical patients group & healthy group. Method:Quality of life was evaluated in 58 patients with cancers in pulmonary or gastrointestinal system, 202 patients with general medical diseases in pulmonary or GI system and 228 healthy persons. Data of 3 groups were compared with analysis of cavarience. Results:The WHOQOL score was lowest in the cancer patient group and was followed by the patients of other general medical diseases and the healthy persons. Especially QOL score of cancer patients were subjectly lower in the physical domain, the psychological domain, the independence domain, the environmental domain, the spiritual domain, while scores of the social domain showed no difference. Among these domains, the scores of the physical domain and the independence domain were lowest in cancer patients. The domains of which scores were not different between general internal patients and cancer patients were the psychological domain and the environmental domain. QOL of spiritual domain was lower in cancer patients than general patients. The path analysis suggests that the psychological quality of life is the most important in quality of life. Conclusion:These results show that the quality of life of cancer patients was lower than not only healthy persons but also general medical patients and suggest that cancer patients need more specialized helps in physical pain, independency, spiritual problems, and finally psychological problem.
