Purpose: To investigate the effect of ROCK inhibitor Y27632 on the human corneal endothelial cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo. Methods: Using corneal endothelial cells isolated and cultured from human donor cornea, we compared the effect of Y27632 (10 μM ) on the proliferation in vitro by flow cytometry analysis. For the evaluation of the effect of Y27632 (10 mM) in vivo, corneal thickness and wound area were analyzed for the corneal endothelial wound rabbit model induced by transcorneal freezing. Results: Ki67 positive cells were increased in the Y27632 group (9.1 ± 4.1 %) than the control group (8.0 ± 5.9 %), whereas annexin V positive cells in the Y27632 group (2.9 ± 1.0 %) were decreased compared to the control group (4.2 ± 2.2 %). However these were not statistically significant. Wound area after Y27632 application in animal model is concerned, the control group showed significant smaller area (45.6 ± 0.6 mm2) compared to the Y27632 group (49.3 ± 0.8 mm2; p = 0.029, Mann-Whitney U test), however, these were not significantly different from the baseline. Corneal thickness was not different between the two groups. Conclusions: Different from other reports for the effect of Y27632, no significant effect on the proliferation in vitro and wound healing in vivo, regarding human corneal endothelial cell, were found in this study.

Purpose: To describe a transconjunctival sutureless technique for pars plana vitrectomy using conventional 20-gauge instruments. Methods: We performed transconjunctival sutureless pars plana vitrectomy (TSV) using conventional 20-gauge instruments in 36 eyes of 35 patients. We made 20-gauge transconjunctival beveled sclerotomies using microvitreoretinal (MVR) blades and used traditional 20-gauge instruments for the operations. Results: Eighty-three (81.4%) of 102 sclerotomies self-sealed without the need for sutures. The sutureless rate was even higher in the last one-third of the patients: 32 (94.1%) of 34 sclerotomy sites were sutureless. No serious complications were observed in our series, including postoperative hypotony, wound leakage, or endophthalmitis. Conclusions: The 20-gauge TSV technique is safe and can be utilized for almost all vitreoretinal diseases, without incurring additional cost for new instruments. Enhancement of problem-solving ability through Six Sigma is the goal of companies that are geared towards high level long-term objective based on increasingly scientific and structured method. Given that about 90% of the students of the Korea Polytechnic Ⅶ get employed by small to medium sized companies, they should be educated so that they can leverage Six Sigma technique to solve problems. Although it is important to train on the program so that they can operate machinery in order to cultivate competent personnel whom are needed by companies, it is necessary to train the students so that they can solve fundamental problems. Six Sigma based problem-solving method was proven very effective when applied to large companies such as LG Electronics, Samsung SDI, POSCO and others. The achievements were made possible by the united effort made by all the employees centered on the chief executive officers. Without the mindset and leadership of the latter, it would be difficult to realize the objective. There are a number of requirements needed to adopt Six Sigma techniqueat the universities. First of all, it is necessary to develop user-friendly learning materials. Second, it is necessary to purchase MiniTab for action based program. Third, professors must be trained in advance in order to act on the Six Sigma technique. Expected benefits of adopting Six Sigma techniqueare many and this technique is very effective since it is possible to cultivate the human resources that the companies needed and since it is possible to take on increasingly detailed approach to solve problem.

배전계통 지능화로 전력설비 이용률 및 운영 효율성 개선하고, 배전설비 전력품질의 실시간 감시 및 고장예측 시스템 구축을 통하여 배전선로 이용률 20% 향상, 변압기 사용년수 20% 연장하고, 기기열화상태 감시, 자기진단 등 실시간 감시로 고장감소 20% 달성할 수 있을 것으로 예측된다. 본 고에서는 전력IT 연구개발과제의 성과물인 배전지능화시스템의 실계통 운영을 통하여 검증된 개발기기의 표준화 및 확대 적용방안을 수립하고, 해외 수출을 위한 배전지능화시스템의 신뢰성과 안정성을 확보하고자 제주 스마트그리드 실증단지에서 실증시험을 추진을 위한 설계 및 구축 계획에 관하여 논하고자 한다.

저자들이 아는 한, 제1∼2경추간 아탈구의 후방 유합술에 있어서 제2경추 후궁 나사와 제1경추 외측괴 나사를 이용한 분절 나사 고정술은 국내에서 보고된 바 없다. 저자들은 제1∼2경추간 진구성 회전 아탈구로 인해 후방 유합술을 요하였으나, 골다공증으로 인해 강선 고정술을 사용하기 곤란하였고, 제2경추의 특이한 형태로 인해 경관절 나사 고정술이나 척추경 나사 삽입술도 사용할 수 없었던 1예에서 제2경추 후궁 나사와 제1경 외측괴 나사를 이용한 분절 나사 고정술을 시행하였던 치험 결과를 보고하고자 한다. To the best of our knowledge, there has been no domestic report on posterior atlantoaxial fusion with segmental screw fixation using C2 laminar screws and C1 lateral mass screws for atlantoaxial subluxation. We report the result of this operation performed in a patient with old atlantoaxial rotary subluxation who required posterior fusion. We chose this technique in this patient because wire fixation was not suitable due to osteoporosis, and transarticular screw fixation and use of C2 pedicle screws were not feasible due to the peculiar bony anatomy of the axis.

The aircraft is one of the indispensable transportation, nowadays. And it not only used as transportation, but also widely used in several other places. For example, it used as people burning airliner, carrying luggage transport, reconnaissance group and so on. Because the aircraft can do various tasks in sly the lightweight are of great concern. For the reason, most parts of the aircraft are made of composite materials. In this paper, the composite plate spring type landing gear and was analysis for aluminum landing gear. It"s compare the analytical result.
