체코의 민속문학 중 민속산문의 경우 체코어로 포하트카(pohadka) 라고 부르는 동화에서 풍자와 해학이 기장 많이 나타나고 있고, 동화의 여러 장르 중에서는 그 아래에 익살동화(zertovna pohadka), 풍자동화(satiricka pohadka), 유머동화(humorna pohadka)와 같은 하부장르들을 갖는 사실동화(pohadka realisticka)가 풍자성과 해학성이 가장 강하다. 그리고 특히 농담,익살,해학,위트,과장,대비,아이러니,패러독스,난센스 등이 특징인 이들 하부장르는 다른 전래동화 장르들인 마술동화,전설동화,동물동화는 다르게 오늘날 가장 많이 보존되고 전송되며 재생력이 가장 강한 것으 로 드러나고 있다. 또한 익살동화의 한 갈래인 장난동화(skadliva pohadka) 역시 전래동화의 전승자들이 애용하는 장르이다. 유머와 익살,풍자와 해학올 유발하는 체코 전래동화의 가장 전형적인 인물인 바보 혼자(hloupy Honza)는 정의의 사도로서 진리의 파수꾼으로서 체코 민중들의 가장 많은 사랑을 받아왔고,동화와 마찬가지로 교훈과 도덕적인 가르침을 지향하면서도 풍자와 해학이 담겨 있는 속담,격언,수수께끼와 같은 짧은 형태의 민속문학 (male folklorni formy) 역시 체코 인들이 선호하는 산문장르이다.체코 민속문학의 전반적인 특정이기도 하지만,특히 체코 민속노래(lidova pisen)의 특징 중에서 짓궂은 유머,가차 없는 위트,신랄한 풍자,따가운 냉소등을 빼놓을 수 없는데,이러한특정은 많은 체코의 민속노래들이 교회의 찬송가나 세속의 사랑노래에 대한 패러디를 통해 만들어졌다. 는 사실과도 깊은 관련이 있다. 그리고 체코의 민속노래가 가장 많이 행해지는 혼례식 행사나 음악축제 등에서 수행원들이나 참가자들이 풍자와 위트와 즉흥적인 노래로 손님과 청중들을 웃기거나 웃음거리로 만들기도 하고 때로는 자기 자신들까지도 풍자와 냉소의 대상으로 전락시키기도 하는 데,여기에서도 우리는 체코 민속행사와 풍자와 해학의 불가분의 관계를 확인할 수 있다. 반면에 비극이 주조를 이루는 서정적 서사장르인 체코 민속 발라드에서는 풍자와 해학이 침투할 여지가 없다. Among various genre of the Czech folk prose Czech fairy tale( pohadka) has more satires and humors. And among the Czech fairy tales realistic fairy tale(pohadka realisticka) is most rich in satires and humors above all other genres like magic fairy tale, legendary fairy tale, and animal fairy tale. Moreover, the realistic fairy tale has such a subgenres like jocular fairy tale(zertovna pohadka) , satiric fairy tale(satiricka pohadka) , humorous fairy tale(humorna pohadka) , which are characterized by joke, jest, wit, humor, satire, irony, sarcasm, paradox, hyperbole, contrast, nonsense, and the likes. The teasing fairy tale(skadliva pohadka) has been also very popular among the performers of folk literature. From the Czech fairy tale the most favorite hero among the Czech people is Jack the Simpleton(hloupy Honza), who with his wonderful powers and wits outsmarts any devil powers. Folk proverbs and riddles from the small folk forms(male folklorni formy) has always been preferred by pragmatically oriented Czech people since the Middle Ages as well. Czech folk song(Lidova pisen, 'the most precious single heritage of Czech National culture' defined by Czech critic Arne Novak, played a great influences on modem Czech music and literature in general. Czech folk songs are particularly characteristic of their teasing humor, reckless wit,satiric bite and bitter sarcasm. As a matter of course, these distinctive features come from the national temperament of Czech people who are fond of satire and humor. However, it must be considered that it is hardly by accident that many Czech folk songs arose as parodies of Church hymns, while others derive their humor from parody of love songs, turning their tenderness inside out. On the other hand, there was no room for satire and humor to penetrate into the Czech folk ballads, a narrative poem with its gloomy story and tragic ending.
