Squamouscell carcinoma is very rare complication of chronic osteomyelitis. It arises from chronic draining sinus and invades bone. The patient had chronic osteomyelitis since Korean War and had draining sinus recent 5 years with foul odordischarge. This case report represents an unusual complication of chronic osteomyelitis which invaded bone marrow.
토끼의 경골에서 RBM 표면처리 임플란트와 RBM 표면처리 후 Saline에 적신 임플란트의 제거회전력 및 표면분석 비교

목적: RBM 표면처리한 티타늄 임플란트와 RBM 표면처리 후 saline에 적신 티타늄 임플란트에서 saline에 적신 경우 초기 골유착에 미치는 영향을 제거회전력 및 표면분석을 통해서 알아보고자 한다. 재료 및 방법: 대조군은 RBM 표면처리된 임플란트(이하 RBM)이고, 실험군은 RBM 표면처리 후 saline에 2주간 적신 임플란트(이하 RBM + Sal)이다. 토끼 10마리의 좌우측 경골에 각각 대조군 및 실험군 임플란트를 식립하고, 동시에 식립회전력(ITQ)을 측정한다. 10일 후 임플란트 식립부위를 노출시켜 제거회전력(RTQ)를 측정한다. 실험에 사용된 임플란트 시편의 표면분석을 위해 FE-SEM, EDS, 표면거칠기, Raman 분광분석을 시행하였다. 결과: RBM 표면처리한 티타늄 임플란트와 RBM 표면처리 후 saline에 적신 티타늄 임플란트 사이에 식립회전력 및 제거회전력은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결론: RBM 표면처리 후 saline에 적신 티타늄 임플란트는 RBM 표면처리만 한 티타늄 임플란트보다 초기 골유착에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the titanium implant soaked in saline after RBM surface treatment on the initial osseointegration by comparing the removal torque and the surface analysis compared to the titanium implant with only RBM surface treatment. Materials and methods: The control group was RBM surface treated implants (RBM), and the test group was implants soaked in saline for 2 weeks after RBM surface treatment (RBM+Sal). The control and test group implants were placed in the left and right tibiae of 10 rabbits, respectively, and at the same time, the insertion torque (ITQ) was measured. After 10 days, the removal torque (RTQ) was measured by exposing the implant site. FE-SEM, EDS, Surface roughness and Raman spectroscopy were performed for the surface analysis of the new implant specimens used in the experiments. Results: There was no significant difference in insertion torque and removal torque between RBM surface treated titanium implants and saline-soaked titanium implants after RBM surface treatment. Conclusion: Saline soaking after RBM surface treatment of titanium implants did not positively affect the initial osseointegration as compared to titanium implants with only RBM surface treatment.

An approximate procedure based on a combination micro-macroscopic theories of plasticity for predicting the crystallographic texture during the plane strain forming of fcc metals has been developed. This procedure is divided into two steps. Firstly, we extract the history of the deformation gradient at all deformed elements with a elasto-plastic finite element method using isotropic plasticity model. Secondly, we use this deformation gradient history to predict the crystallographic deformation texture based on the Bishop-Hill theory. Renouard and Wintenberger' method is chosen for selecting the active slip systems. The predicted results have been compared with reported experimental results. The calculated results are in good agreement with their results.

Injury to the ligaments of the knee in children who are less than fourteen years old is unusual, presumably because the resiliency and strength of the ligaments are greater than those of the physes and bone. Ta our knowledge, only a few of knee ligament injuries in children with open physes has been published since 1955. The cliniacal diagnosis is difficult because of the communication barrier between doctor and child and the difficulty in obtaining adequate of a examination of a child with a painful knee. And the best method of treatment of knee ligament injuries in children has not been defined. 19 children with knee ligament injuries before physeal closure were treated from January 1980 to June 1988, 16 children were followed up for more than 1 year, with a maximum 6 years. The results were as following. 1. Our youngest patient was 2(l/12) year old boy. 2. High energy trauma was the most common cause. 3. Relatively better results were obtained as compared with adults. 4. Arthroseopic evaluation and surgery is recommended in suspicious knee ligament injuries in children.
