Color is an important factor in dental esthetics. Application of natural tooth color will not fail to produce pleasing results. But a standardized method of shade matching has not been adopted. If we are to overcome the color matching problem in dentistry, an understanding of the nature of color and light is essential. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of different light sources and different background colors on the ability of observers to correctly match shades of artifical teeth. And observation was made to determine if the time spent in making a shade match was a factor in the correctness of the response. A test method was devised and 50 individuals made observations which were recorded and analyzed. $X^2$-test gave results indicating that the time factor had no effect on the response made. An analysis of variance showed the following effects significant at the five percent level; (1) light source (2) background color (3) subject. The following conclusions can be drawn from this study; (1) The time spent in making shade selection is not a factor in the correctness of the selections. (2) The light source used is an important factor in matching tooth shade; and there is no significant difference between the light sources in shade matching. (3) Under the conditions of this study, the greatest accuracy in shade matching was obtained on the brown background.
시스템 모델링을 위한 일반화된 RBF 신경회로망의 온라인 구성

이 논문에서는 비선형 시스템 모델링을 위한 일반화된 RBF 신경회로망(GRBFN)을 순차적으로 구성하기 위한 온라인 학습 알고리즘을 제안한다. 상수 연결강도를 갖는 표준 RBF 신경회로망의 확장형인GRBFN은 여러 개의 국부 선형모델을 결합하여 비선형 시스템을 표현할 수 있는 구조이다. 제안한 학습 알고리즘은 구조 학습과 파라미터 학습을 수행하는 두 단계의 학습으로 구성된다. 구조 학습은 주어진 훈련 데이터로부터 새로운 은닉 유니트 및 선형 국부모델을 할항하기 위하여 훈련 오차와 Mahalanobis 거리에 기초한 두 개의 생성 조건을 이용하여 GRBFN 모델을 구성한다. 파라미터 학습은 경사강하 법칙을 기반으로 기존 네트웍의 파라미터 벡터를 갱신한다. 제안한 알고리즘의 모델링 성능을 평가하기 위해서 잘 알려진 두 예제에 대한 시뮬레이션 및 결과를 제시한다. This paper presents an on-line learning algorithm for sequential construction of generalized radial basis function networks (GRBFNs) to model nonlinear systems from empirical data. The GRBFN, an extended from of standard radial basis function (RBF) networks with constant weights, is an architecture capable of representing nonlinear systems by smoothly integrating local linear models. The proposed learning algorithm has a two-stage learning scheme that performs both structure learning and parameter learning. The structure learning stage constructs the GRBFN model using two construction criteria, based on both training error criterion and Mahalanobis distance criterion, to assign new hidden units and the linear local models for given empirical training data. In the parameter learning stage the network parameters are updated using the gradient descent rule. To evaluate the modeling performance of the proposed algorithm, simulations and their results applied to two well-known benchmarks are discussed.

Lanceolaria acrorhyncha, one of the 7 species in the family Unionidae living in the Lake Uiam, was used as an experimental material. The spermatogenesis and oogenesis, the structure of hooks, hooklets and sensory hairs, the diameter of larval threads, and the size of glochidium of Lanceolaria acrorhyncha were investigated. The results obtained in this investigation were as follows; 1. The two outer-demibranchs (marsupium) of four demibranchs were filled with glochidia as Anodonta fukudai. 2. The color of gonad and demibranch was red, yellow and white to which changed blackish brown when matured. 3. A glochidium has two hooks at the apex of the ventral side and one hook has 13 to 15 hooklets (spines) and two pairs of sensory hair were found at both side of the larval shell. 4. The size of a glochidium was 200 ㎛ in shell height, 220 ㎛ in shell lengh and 160 ㎛ in hinge lengh and the from of a glochidium was a small subtriangular shape compared with a large subtriangular in Anodonta fukudai. 5. The two white cucumiformed lumps of glochidia were excreted when spawned artificially and the diameter of larval thread was 12 ㎛. 6. The breeding season of L. acrorhyncha was the summer type having glochidia from March to November and October to May in Anodonta fukudai.

Polyplis hemisphaerula (Planorbidae) collected from the rice field and the pond near the Ch`unch`o^˘n City was used as material for researching on the egg deposition and cleavage. The samples were transfered to the aquaria controlled at 28℃ and many characters of the species were studied for three years from 1983. The shell height and width of the adult were 1. 5 mm and 5. 2 mm, respectively. In a certain occassion the method of removement was floating on the waters as Radix. The eggs were surrounded by an egg envelope made up of the jelly-like substances and an average number of the fertilized eggs contained in an envelope was 4. 2 counted 119. The mean time required from two-cell stage to four-cell stage, from 4 to 8, 8 to 16-cell was seventeen minutes respectively and the hatching period was about 4.5 days.

Authors have studied the size of eggs, the seasonal gonad changes, the spawning season and the demibranchs morphology of Lanceolaria acrorhyncha in the Lake Uiam. These researches were studied during the period from April 1983 to September 1984. The results of these investigations were summarized as follows; Mean diameter of the eggs was gradually increased from March (311 ㎛) to November and the mean diameter of maximum and minimum egg size was 282㎛ and 71㎛, respectively. The gonad in the female was filled with the connective tissue and the egg-sacs from March to November. The egg-sac was constricted after discharging of eggs and the connective tissue was gradually increased. The outer demibranchs of females served as marsupial(gravid) pouch. And the secondary water-tubes remain after discharging of the glochidia, and the central water-tubes served as ovisacs only in the primary water-tubes. The marsupial demibranchs lacked the divided system. The size of the marsupial demibranchs on the spawning seasons was increased three times.

In this paper, we implement the Digital Signal Processing System based on Human Machine Interface technology for the telematics with embedded noise-robust speech recognition engine and develop the communication system which can be applied to the automobile information center through the human-machine interface technology. Through the embedded speech recognition engine, we can develop the total DSP system based on Human Machine Interface for the telematics in order to test the total system and also the total telematics services. 자동차 텔레매틱스 용 음성 HMI(Human Machine Interface) 기술은 차량 내 음성정보기술 활용을 위하여 차량 잡음환경에 강인한 내장형 음성 기술을 통합한 음성 HMI 기반 텔레매틱스 용 DSP 시스템의 개발을 포함한다. 개발된 내장형 음성인식엔진을 바탕으로 통합 시험을 위한 자동차 텔레매틱스 용 DSP 시스템 구현 개발을 수행하는 본 논문은 자동차용 음성 HMI의 요소 기술을 통합하는 기술 개발로 자동차용 음성 HMI 기술 개발에 중심이 되는 연구이다.

The investigation of mollusks and the swimming-out of pre-larva fish from mussels in the Lake Uiam was carried out from March to November in 1981. The results of these investigations were summarized as follows: 1. The dominant species of mollusks living in the Lake Uiam is Corbicula fluminea. 2. The size of Semisulcospira gottschei and Corbicula fluminea is larger in the southern parts of the lake and gets smaller toward the north of the lake. 3. Semisulcospira gottschei and Corbicula fluminea are collected from all areas in the lake, regardless to the soil texture and water depth. 4. The number of species of mollusks in the lake is two classes, three orders, seven familes, including sixteen species. 5. The swimming-out rates of pre-larva fish are 43.9%, 4.5%, and 1.9% in Anodonta fukudai, Lanceolaria acrorhyncha, and Unio douglasiae respectively. 6. The authors confirmed one more mussel(Lanceolaria acrorhyncha) from which pre-lava fish have swum out. 7. The swimming-out of pre-larva fish from mussels takes more than a month.
