This study was researched the education needs of LBW infant's mother at one week after the discharge far development of the educational program. The subjects of this study consisted of 40 mothers of LBW infant's at one week after the discharge. They were selected by convenience from 3 general hospitals and 1 pediatric hospital in Seoul, Kangnung. The data were collected during the period from January, 5 to March 15, 2000. The results of this study were as follows : 1.At one week after the discharge, the education need score of LBW infant's mother is 3.77 ±0.49 2.When each item was analyzed by the general characteristics of subject, there was significant differences according to delivery type. 3.The scores of categories are that unusual behavior is 3.97±0.55, disorder management is 3.96±0.51, attachment between mother and infant is 3.80±0.65, infant care is 3.71 ±0.62, environment is 3.55 ±0.65, feeding is 3.52 ±0.65. There were two items that represented the highest educational needs in all items. They were 'when infant has a seizure, what can I do?(4.25±0.78)' and 'when infant has a gastro-intestinal trouble, what can I do?(4.25 ±0.63)'.

Purpose: Prenatal depression is associated with potential negative consequences for the mother and infant. The purpose of this study was to examine pregnant women’s stress, and depression and their impact on maternal-fetal attachment and fetal growth. Methods: Data were collected by means of a questionnaire and fetal sonogram from a convenience sample of 166 pregnant women. Results: Women who have a low educational level, poor health and are dissatisfied with their marriage showed low maternal-fetal attachment. Prenatal depression had significant correlations with length of pregnancy and level of stress. Even though correlation between maternal stress and fetal weight (r=-.15, p=.099) and correlation between maternal depression and maternal-fetal attachment (r=-.13, p=.095) were not statistically significant, the impact of the prenatal psychological state of mothers can not be ignored as it relates to fetal health. Conclusion: Maternal-fetal attachment and fetal growth can be affected by maternal emotional state, including stress or depression. These findings suggest that primary care nurses in hospitals and public health centers should provide prenatal depression screening and nursing intervention programs for management and prevention of prenatal stress and depression.

The purpose of this study is to develop and apply the instruction program for the "defense action" chapter in life scienceⅠutilizing student generated role-playing analogy, to examine how the program influence students' motivation, and to see students' perception. Research classes were conducted: A teacher explained target concept, students conducted roleplay based on the immunity processes. The students found differences and commonalities between analogies and target conceptes while students discussed generated role-playing analogy and teacher gave the feedback to them. The effectiveness of the instruction program was examined through predicative immunity concept test, science learning motivation test, survey, and interview. Two classes of 10th grade at a high school in Chung-buk were assigned to the control and the treatment group and taught about "defense action" chapter for 6 class hours. Student generated role-playing analogy instruction was provided to the treatment group (38 students). The traditional instruction was provided to the control group (38 students). The conclusion drawn from this research was as follows: First, the students visualized and understood the abstract immunity concepts and the complex immunity processes through the instruction program. Second, the students were motivated by making analogies and their expectation and goal for their learning were increased through student-generated role-playing analogies. Third, as a result of the survey and interview, it was found that the interest of the students in immunity was increased through student-generated role-playing analogies and the immunity processes were able to be applied into social life. Before the class, they thought the "defense action" chapter was a difficult lesson to learn, but they changed the perception later. In other words, the instruction program for the "defense action" chapter in life scienceⅠ utilizing student generated role-playing analogy can be provided to enhance understanding of abstract concept and was proposed to develop immunity concept class for the first time in Korea.

This study was a descriptive research study to identify the effects of related knowledge to COVID-19, infection control performance, and job stress in emergency department nurses due to COVID-19 on nursing performance, to improve emergency department nurses' ability to cope with emerging infectious diseases and to prepare basic data for effective nursing work. This study was collected data from August, 10 until September, 10, 2021, for 165 emergency department nurses in 26 hospitals, which were located in G province and designated as regional emergency medical institutions, and total 150 copies were finally analyzed. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression. As a result of analyzing the variables affecting the subject's nursing job performance by multiple regression using the hierarchical selection method, the higher the infection control performance and the higher the job stress, the more higher the nursing job performance, and the explanatory power was 18.4%. The study results showed that infection control performance, job stress, and non-shift work had an effect on nursing performance. It was thought that various plans to protect them, reduced tasks to efficiently perform and the nursing ability to cope with emerging infectious disease should be prepared to improve and reduce the job stress of emergency department nurses.
