GaAs, ZnTe/GaAs 기판위 성장된 고농도 Zn 조성의 $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te 에피층에서의 CuPt형 나노 규칙상 형성

CuPt-type ordering has been observed in Zn-rich $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te epilayers grown on (001)GaAs and ZnTe/GaAs(001) substrates. X-ray diffraction, electron beam diffraction, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and low-temperature photoluminescence have been used to characterize the CuPt-type ordering in Zn-rich $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te epilayers. GaAs (001) 기판과 완충층을 사용한 ZnTe/GaAs(001) 기판 위에 고농도의 Zn 조성을 가지는 $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te/GaAs, $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te/ZnTe/GaAs 에피층 구조를 성장시켰다. 이때 $Cd_xZn_{1-x}$Te 에피층에서의 CuPt형의 규칙상 형성, 미세구조적 특성과 광발광특성을 X-선회절과 전자회절상, 고분해능 투과전자현미경, 그리고 저온 광발광 측정 장치를 이용하여 연구하였다.

본 연구에서는 가막살나무(Viburnum dilatatum Thunb.)의 잎과 세지로부터 유래되는 천연화학성분들을 얻고, 이들의 자극완화용 화장품 소재로써의 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 항산화 효능 및 항염증 효능을 조사하였다. DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl)를 이용한 전자공여능 측정방법에 의한 항산화 효능 조사 결과, 가막살나무의 에탄올 (Ethanol) 추출물(SC<sub>50</sub> = 17.03 μg/mL), 에틸아세테이트(ethyl acetate) 분획물(SC<sub>50</sub> = 13.97 μg/mL), 부탄올(butanol) 분획물(SC<sub>50</sub> = 10.30 μg/mL) 순으로 항산화능력이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 lipopolysaccharide (LPS)에 의해 활성화된 마우스 대식세포(RAW264.7 cells)에서 생성되는 산화질소(nitric oxide : NO) 생성의 억제능을 조사한 결과에서는 항산화 활성이 저조했던 헥산(hexane) 및 메틸렌클로라이드(methylene chloride) 분획물에서 10 μg/mL 시료농도를 기준으로 할 때, 50 % 이상의 NO 생성 억제율로 우수한 항염증 효능을 나타내었다. 특히, 위와 동일 실험 조건에서 헥산 분획물의 경우, 염증 반응 인자인 TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 등의 cytokine과 iNOS, COX-2 효소의 발현이 농도 의존적으로 억제됨을 RT-PCR 방법으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이번 연구 결과들로부터 가막살나무 유래 천연화학성분들은 자극완화용 화장품 소재 개발에 매우 유리하게 응용될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. The crude ethanol extracts and their solvent-partitioned fractions derived from the leaf and twig of Viburnum dilatatum Thunb. were investigated for their 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging efficacy. The results showed that the butanol-soluble fraction (SC<sub>50</sub> = 10.30 μg/mL) exhibited higher anti-oxidant activity than the crude ethanol extract (SC<sub>50</sub> = 17.03 μg/mL) in the DPPH assay model. Then, the effects of the same extract samples on the production of nitric oxide were examined in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Although the hexane and methylene chloride-soluble fraction showed a weak anti-oxidant activity, they exhibited potent inhibitory activity of NO production above 50 % at a concentration of 10 μg/mL. The hexane-soluble fraction also showed the inhibitory effect on mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory mediators such an TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, iNOS and COX-2 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7. These results suggest that the solvent extracts of Viburnum dilatatum Thunb. could be used as an anti-irritation ingredient.
한국자생 음나무집단 및 채취부위에 따른 Kalosaponin 함량 변이

The concentrations of 4 kalosaponins from tissues of Kalopanax septemlobus (Thunb.)Koidz grown in 7 provenances in Korea were determined by HPLC. Kalosaponin contents in plant part were much higher in the inner bark(30.59 mg/g on the dry weight basis) than those of young leaves(22.74 mg/g on the dry weight basis) and root bark(18.02 mg/g on the dry weight basis). A considerable range of variation in the contents was observed among population. The kalosaponin contents in inner bark from each population were highest in the Mt. Barwang (30.37 mg/g on the dry weight basis) followed by Mt. Gariwang, Hanra II, Mangun, Paltan, and Hanra I population. A variation of kalosaponin contents among population may be affected by both environmental and genetic factors. Establishment of selection and propagation of high kalosaponin containing trees can be a good source for the development of valuable forest products.

ObjectiveTriphenyl phosphate (TPHP) is one of the most commonly used organophosphorus flame retardants that mayaccumulate in the environment. However, its effects on human reproductive organs have not been well studied. Weaimed to investigate the in vitro effects of TPHP in human Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells to elucidate how TPHPexposure disrupts intracellular signaling and cell proliferation in reproductive tissues. MethodsHuman Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells were exposed to TPHP. ResultsExposure to TPHP elevated the levels of estrogen receptor (ER) α and progesterone receptor-B and reduced ER β inhuman Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells. TPHP stimulated phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B and mitogenactivatedprotein kinase/ extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 kinase signaling, which may contribute to theactivation of ER function and induce nuclear translocation of nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated Bcells (NF-κB) in human Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells. Activated ER and NF-κB stimulate the expression of cyclin D1/cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/CDK6, indicating cell cycle progression and proliferation. ConclusionThis report may provide new information on the molecular mechanisms underlying how TPHP exposure dysregulatesthe cellular physiology of the human endometrium.
Al-doped ZnO via Sol-Gel Spin-coating as a Transparent Conducting Thin Film

A simple nonalkoxide sol-gel route for depositing an Al-doped ZnO thin film on a glass substrate was derived in this study. The initial Al dopant concentration in the sol-gel preparation varied and ranged from 0 to 5%. The sol-gel-derived thin films showed c-plane preferred crystallization of their hexagonal phase, with nanosized grain structures. First and second post-heat-treatments were carried out to improve the film’s electrical resistivity. The carrier density and the Hall mobility were measured and discussed to explain the electrical resistivity. The optical transmittance within the visible range showed compatible properties, which indicates the possible use of A1-doped ZnO as a transparent electrode in flat panel displays
Transparent Conducting Ga-doped ZnO Thin Film for Flat-Panel Displays with a Sol-gel Spin Coating

A novel non-alkoxide sol-gel process for synthesizing Ga-doped ZnO thin film on glass was derived for possible use as a transparent electrode in flat-panel displays, using zinc acetate dehydrate as the starting material. The structural and electrical properties of thin films have been characterized as functions of Ga addition and post-heat-treatments. Their carrier density, Hall mobility, and optical transmittance were measured and discussed herein to explain the characteristics of the sol-gel-derived Ga-doped ZnO thin film on glass.
