Time Series Classification of Cryptocurrency Price Trend Based on a Recurrent LSTM Neural Network

In this study, we applied the long short-term memory (LSTM) model to classify the cryptocurrency price timeseries. We collected historic cryptocurrency price time series data and preprocessed them in order to makethem clean for use as train and target data. After such preprocessing, the price time series data weresystematically encoded into the three-dimensional price tensor representing the past price changes ofcryptocurrencies. We also presented our LSTM model structure as well as how to use such price tensor as inputdata of the LSTM model. In particular, a grid search-based k-fold cross-validation technique was applied to findthe most suitable LSTM model parameters. Lastly, through the comparison of the f1-score values, our studyshowed that the LSTM model outperforms the gradient boosting model, a general machine learning modelknown to have relatively good prediction performance, for the time series classification of the cryptocurrencyprice trend. With the LSTM model, we got a performance improvement of about 7% compared to using the GBmodel.
A high-performance hydrogen gas sensor using Pd-decorated and porous conducting polymer

A novel method for fabricating Pd-decorated nanoporous poly(anilineco-aniline-2-sulfonic acid):poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid) (P(ANI-co-ASA):PSS) nanostructures and their use as sensing elements for hydrogen (H2) gas sensors are demonstrated in this presentation. Both co-monomers and PSS provide sufficient -SO3H groups to effectively anchor palladium nanoparticles and lead to enhanced interactions with H2 gas, while retaining the charge transport properties of the P(ANI-co-ASA):PSS. The pores enlarged the surface area available for interaction with the H2 gas molecules, resulting in much higher sensitivity compared with both the non-porous Pd-decorated P(ANI-co-ASA): PSS and the pristine P(ANI-co-ASA):PSS.

Objectives: To standardize treatment, improve quality of medical service, and reduce medical costs of patients with depression by developing a clinical pathway (CP) of Korean medicine. Methods: CP was developed based on clinical practice guideline (CPG) for depression. To consider the degree of economic burden and satisfaction, the current status of management for patients with depression was examined. After CP was primarily developed, contents of the CP were supplemented by referring to previously developed CPs. Results: Based on CPG, current status survey and previous CP, four types of CP (Korean medicine clinics, Korean medicine hospitals, Western-Korean medicine collaborative hospitals, public medical center) were developed and shown in the algorithm version. However, in the case of Korean medicine hospitals and Western-Korean medicine collaborative hospitals, CPs were detailed according to different clinical scenes of outpatients and inpatients. This study also shows six different time task matrix version. Conclusions: CP for depression is expected to not only reduce financial burden of patients and health insurance, but also increase the quality of treatment and satisfaction.

Although recent researches have been focused on Sb<sub>2</sub>S<sub>3</sub>-Sensitized solar cells, the power conversion efficiency has been still being slowly improving because the Sb<sub>2</sub>S<sub>3</sub> formed by conventional chemical bath deposition (CBD) method inevitably make the oxide impurities. The power conversion efficiency is product of current density (Jsc), open circuit voltage (Voc) and fill factor (FF) so that we need to control all of them. The Jsc depends on light harvesting, charge injection, and charge collection. The Voc and F.F depends on charge recombination caused by defects, traps, dark current leakage, and the contact resistance. Therefore, to improve power conversion efficiency, the pure Sb<sub>2</sub>S<sub>3</sub> should be synthesized because the impurities such as Sb<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> and Sb<sub>2</sub>(SO<sub>4</sub>)<sup>3</sup> act as recombination centers thereby reducing Voc and Jsc. In this work, we controlled the morphology of pure Sb<sub>2</sub>S<sub>3</sub> thin film by spin and heat treatment process. Through the simple technique, we could greatly improve the efficiency of planar Sb<sub>2</sub>S<sub>3</sub> sensitized solar cells.

Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), a fatal disease, is mostly idiopathic but can occur secondary to cancer, infection, transplantation, pregnancy, surgery, or drugs. The mechanism of TTP is still unknown, however, and detection is difficult because of unclear diagnosis criteria. Colonic stent insertion is commonly used in management of malignant colon obstruction. This is a very safe procedure with a low procedure-related mortality rate, but serious complications can develop. The authors first experienced a patient with TTP when the phenomenon occurred after stent insertion for palliation of obstructive colon cancer and therefore would like to report the case.
