Study on the Use of Self-assessment in Korean EducationMinji Koo Abstract: The purpose of this study is to establish the terms and concepts related to self-assessment (hereinafter referred to as S-A) that are used interchangeably in Korean education, and to establish a framework for classification of types, thereby laying the groundwork for exploring the possibility of expanding the application of S-A in Korean language education in the future. As a descriptive review method of literature study, the concept of ‘S-A’ in the field of Korean language education was sought, and through this, three elements ‘learning motive, learning strategy, and learning process’ were derived as the criteria for S-A or the characteristics of S-A. In addition, after classifying the types of S-A into descriptive S-A and scale-type S-A, it is diagrammed that descriptive S-A can be classified as the degree of openness, and scale-type S-A can be roughly divided into self-rating and checklist. In order to introduce the S-A method in earnest in the Korean language education field in the future, follow-up studies on how effective the S-A type presented in the current Korean language textbook are should be actively conducted so that a more efficient S-A form can be developed. 대학생의 위험회피 기질이 우울에 미치는 영향: 정서표현 양가성과 고통 감내력의 이중매개효과

The aim of this research was to verify the mediating effects of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and distress tolerance on the relationship between harm avoidance and depression. A total of 403 university students completed TCI-RS(Temperament and Character Inventory-Revised Short version), AEQ-K(Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness Questionnaire-Korean), DTS (Distress Tolerance Scale) and CES-D(The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale). The results revealed that harm avoidance and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness were positively related with depression, and negatively related with distress tolerance. In addition, the relationship of harm avoidance and depression was successively mediated by ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and distress tolerance. That is, the motivation of emotional expression conflict may have an effect on depression and the distress tolerance would play an important role in therapeutic intervention of depression. 본 연구에서는 위험회피 기질을 가진 대학생들이 우울에 취약하다는 점을 확인하면서 그 과정에 정서표현 양가성과 고통 감내력이 매개변인으로서 영향을 미친다는 점을 검증해보는 데 목적이 있다. 403명의 대학생들을 대상으로 TCI-RS, AEQ-K, DTS, CES-D를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 위험회피 기질과 정서표현 양가성은 우울과 유의한 정적 상관을, 고통 감내력과는 부적 상관을 보였다. 또한, 정서표현 양가성과 고통 감내력은 위험회피 기질을 순차적으로 매개하여 우울에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기질적 특성뿐만 아니라 심리사회적 요인이 복합적으로 우울에 영향을 미치고 있음을 시사한다.

한국어 교육 배치 평가 타당도 분석 연구 - 특정 기관의 배치 평가 사례를 중심으로 -

This study aims to assess the test used by a University-run Korean language course (henceforth called Institute ‘A’ ) to place students into their appropriate class, to identify the problems with the test, and to find ways to improve it. We assessed A’s placement test contents’ appropriateness by examining A’s teaching goals, textbooks and placement test. We also assessed its face validity by conducting a survey among the test takers. The results indicated that A’s placement test significantly lacks in its contents validity and also requires additional support in its face validity. For the contents validity, we recommend that A develop a placement test which reflects its teaching goals and material. And for the face validity, A should first make sure the students understand the overall purpose of the test, and run the testing considering their situation and requests. 이 연구는 특정 대학 부설 한국어 교육 기관(이하 A기관)에서 사용되는 배치 평가 도구의 문항을 분석하여 문제점을 파악하고 이를 기반으로 A기관 배치 평가의 개선 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 실제 교육 기관에서 사용되는 배치 평가 도구의 문항 전체를 대상으로 내용 타당도를 검증해 보고자 기관의 교육 목표와 실제 교과 내용과 평가 내용을 교차 검토해 보았으며 안면 타당도를 검증해 보고자 배치 평가의 수험자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 A기관의 배치 평가 도구는 내용 타당도 측면에서 상당한 결함이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 안면 타당도 측면에서도 보완이 필요한 것으로 파악되었다. 내용 타당도를 확보하기 위해서는 기관의 교육 목표와 교육 내용을 제대로 반영한 평가 도구 개발을 위한 연구와 노력을 기울여야 할 것이며 안면 타당도 제고를 위해서는 수험자에게 평가의 목적을 주지시키고 수험자의 입장과 요구를 고려하여 평가를 운영해야 할 것이다.

한국어 교육 성취도 평가 분석 사례 연구 : 특정 대학 기관 중급 성취도 평가의 내용 타당도를 중심으로

이 연구는 특정 대학 부설 한국어 교육 기관(이하 A기관)에서 사용되는 성취도 평가 도구의 문항을 분석하여 문제점을 파악하고 이를 기반으로 A기관 성취도 평가의 개선 방향을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 실제 교육 기관에서 사용되는 중급 성취도 평가 도구의 문항 전체를 대상으로 내용 타당도를 검증해 보고자 교과 내용과 의사소통 능력의 네 가지 범주에 대한 평가 양상을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 A기관의 성취도 평가 도구는 교과 내용을 고르게 평가하고 있지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며 의사소통 능력 평가에 있어서도 문법적 능력과 담화적 능력 평가에 비해 사회언어학적 능력과 전략적 능력 평가가 매우 미흡한 것으로 나타나 전체적으로 내용 타당도 측면에서 문제가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 말하기 영역을 제외한 대부분의 평가 영역은 한국어능력시험(TOPIK)의 평가틀을 적용하여 개발함으로써 공인 타당도를 높이려고 한 점은 인정되나 실제 교육 현장의 평가 도구는 평가의 목적이 한국어능력시험과는 다르기 때문에 무조건적인 한국어능력시험 평가틀의 적용은 의사소통 능력 평가라는 측면에서 바람직한 개발 방향은 아니라고 볼 수 있다. 평가 도구의 내용 타당도를 높이기 위해서는 교과 내용을 고르게 다루어야 하며 이는 출제계획표 작성과 영역별 출제계획표의 교차 검토로 충분히 해결될 수 있는 문제이다. 그러나 의사소통 능력을 '고르게' 그리고 '제대로' 평가하는 것은 그리 단순한 문제가 아니고 의사소통 능력의 구인을 모색하는 기본적인 연구부터 시작하여 평가에 대한 심도 깊고 폭넓은 연구가 필요한 부분이다. 즉, 평가 구인 모색에 대한 이론적 연구와 더불어 실제 평가 현장에 대한 실증적 연구가 함께 이루어져야 한다. This study aims to suggest the direction of improving the achievement test in Korean language education center. For the specific purpose, all the items on intermediate level achievement test are analyzed, which are actually used in the Korean language education center of a certain University. Moreover, the aspect of evaluating the content of the curriculum and the four categories of communication skill is examined for investigating the content validity of the achievement test. By analyzing the result, it can be inferred that this achievement test failed to objectively evaluate the content of the curriculum. It can be also suggested that it may not be sufficient enough to evaluate the sociolinguistic competence and the strategic competence. Furthermore, the goal of the test in the field of Korean language education is different from that of TOPIK. Therefore, an excessive usage of the TOPIK frame is not a desirable way of developing test when evaluating the communication competences. To enhance the validity of the content in the test, it is necessary to fairly deal with the content of the curriculum. This can be solved by the test specification and the cross-checking of each categorial test planning chart. However, it is not a simple matter to 'objectively' and 'properly' evaluate the communication competence. The deeper and wider studies about Korean language testing should be performed with the basic study of seeking the Constructs of communication competences.
