      • 영화 팩토리 걸(Factory Girl)에 의한 패션디자인 창작

        The purpose of this study was to look into Edie Sedgwick, a heroine of the movie “Factory Girl” and a 1960’s representative fashion icon, and create the costumes that is inspired by Edie Sedgwick's fashion style in a modern point of view. The method of this study was literature research including proceeding studies and analysis of the scenes in the movie. All the images that costumes of Edie Sedgwick’s changed were captured in DVD, 17 scenes were analyzed. The Movie “Factory Girl” show the story of Edie Sedgwick in the working space “Factory” of Andy Worhol, an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. The styles of Edie Sedgwick’s were analyzed into 3 parts, “Cambridge Art School Period(1964)”, “New York Period(1965)” and “Santa Barbara Period(1968)”. The Creations were performed by 2 design concepts “Glittered Minimalism” and “Sexy Glamour”. First theme “Glittered Minimalism” was glittered minimal design, and second theme “Sexy Glamour” was sexy fascinating design, totally 4 style of costumes were created and stylized. Through this study it was conformed that the fashion in movies represented the society and culture of the specific ages and the past mode and style supplied limitless inspirations to the present times.
