Query Processing for information retrieval in distributed database environment plans and executes the priority of join operation of respond to user's request. But it cannot ignore overhead for processing the priority of join operation In this paper, we measure the cost of join operation, changing the size of relation, and decide a suitable relation size for join operation to reduce overhead for processing the priority. Also, this work generates new relations involved data with relationship to reduce join frequency between original relations existed in different sites. A lot of new relations may be generated and it is hard to select a relation among them needed to user's request. Therefore we demonstrate a method to select a relation with a appropriate size obtained through simulation. Relation selected is able to reduce the cost of join operation and process a rapid response for user request. As a result, a selected relation may be a appropriate relation to any query.

Directory system is a collection of user information and network resources. It needs directory system to manage and to maintain the user information in computer network. Directory system maintain informations about users - user name, network address, organization unit, telephone number etc. - and offer the corresponding informations at user request. Existing directory system does access control using ACL(Access Control List). In this paper, we propose priority access control design which solves the problems of ACL method, simplely. A local DSA(Directory System Agent) gives possibility by maintaining priority table and corresponding entries in directory including DEP(Directory Entry Priority).

본 논문에서는 음성 정보의 데이터 베이스 구축 및 전송에 능률을 올릴 수 있는 다단계 부호와 방식을 제안하고, 본 방식에 의한 정보원 부호기를 구현하여 명료도 평가와 성능 측정을 하였다. T1 전송기의 PCM 보다 압축률을 더 높이기 위하여 음성 진폭을 정규화한 결과 3 bit/sample 압신까지도 양호한 음질로 재생할 수 있었다. 또 변화된 부호의 발생 빈도수를 높이기 위하여 차이값을 이용하여 부호 변환한 후, 부호의 평균 길이를 줄이기 위한 호프만 부호화를 하였다. 평균 오피니언 평가법을 이용한 음질 평가 결과, 음질의 손실 차이가 적게 나타나 원음과 유사한 음질을 얻을 수 있었으며, 단위 시간당 정보 발생량을 13.8 K bps로 낮출 수 있었다. 이 결과로 다단계 부호화 방식을 이용하여 음성 정보 서비스 시스템에 저장 및 전송에 능률을 향상시킬 수 있으리라 기대된다.

We have used communication network more and more since it is demanded for us to have much opportunities to use computers, information collection and information exchange. Because informations needed for communication service are too enormous for user to manage them, we need a certain system which store these information and manage independently and as a result directory system in introduced. In this study, we discussed navigation that search for DSA which can support user service on distributed directory system. This paper also suggested algorithm for enhance performance by making optimize navigation process.

DBMS offers information to users which is stored in database. Therefore, DBMS does not provide users with needed informations unless it is stored in database. This paper studies adding inferential facility to informix existing relational DBMS, designs and implements IFES(Inferential Front-end System) to provide wider and more accurate information. TBKEY(Table Key) table and RNT(Relation Name Table) are also stored in IDB to support inferential facility. TBKEY table contains name of certain database and key attribute of the relation and RNT contains name of database and name of head and body tables related with the relation. And it is possible for informix to manage these tables. This paper puts emphasis on storing tables of IDB in informix not in the form of file but in the form of relation like existing database.
TCP/IP기반의 SLIP상에서의 네트워크 관리 기법에 관한 연구

The computer networks nowadays are composed with wide variety. Thus more efficient network management techniques become necessary to provide better services of enhanced qualities. This study is about the network management technique over TCP/IP-based SLIP. This thesis is the design and development of the network management program over the gateway, IBM RS/6000-320, that leads the front and system in each department with TCP/IP-based SLIP. As a result, shell script programs which are used on the unix system over TCP/IP-based SLIP make the automatic creation of reinstallation of TCP/IP-based SLIP environment.

□Moving the back-end of a compiler to a new machine needs modifying a lot of parts in the codegenerator program according to characteristics of the machine. If we develop the code generator keeping the machine dependent part separated from the machine independent part, we can enhance portability of the compiler. Moreover, when use a code generator- generator to automate generation of machine dependent part, we can get higher portability. This paper has designed and implemented the code generator which is consisted of a machine dependent part and a machine-independent part for the code generator-generator as the automation tool. The machine description includes the information about a target machine, and the code generator algorithm which is machine-independent accesses the machine description to generate codes of a target machine.Therefore, we can move the code generator to the other machine without modifying the code generator algorithm.
