This study analyze indoor thermal comfort properties such as PMV, PPD and fluid variables when the cooling loads are light, occupant and ventilation. There are 6 cases to study for the indoor unit installation conditions and ventilation rates. Numerical method is used to study the indoor environmental properties and experimental study is adapted to analyze reaching time by variable cooling load conditions.

In this study, dynamic characteristics analysis of AC system is investigated using a cool thermal storage system. A analysing program for cool thermal storage AC system is developed. The performances are studied by several variables and dynamic characteristics. Comparing the result at conventional operation condition with that at the condition using ice storage system, this study showed the effects of the sub cooled degree, superheated degree, efficiency of compressor and evaporating temperature. At the condition using thermal storage system, the thermal storage process was operated during midnight being not needed the cooling of the AC unit through the continuous running of the condenser. The refrigerant was sub-cooled using stored energy after being discharged from the air source condenser during the daytime. The COP was increased owing to the sub-cooling of refrigerant during daytime, thus the power consumption was effectively decreased.

In this study, air conditioning systems include ground source heat pump (GSHP), are evaluated for economic feasibility. The building is modeled an air conditioned for 280㎾ scale. This analysis is compared with the energy tariff programs of Korea and USA. The objectives of this paper are to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the GSHP and combined system using Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis, and to carry out the sensitivity analysis of key parameters. The paper considered the cases including the base case of air source heat pump and the other two alternates for comparisons. The combined system is not only a cost-effective way to the low energy consumption but also a way to avoid a high initial investment. The variations of initial investment and energy rates give a significant effect on the total LCC and payback period.
건물 에너지 상세 해석을 통한 소형 열병합 발전 및 히트펌프 복합 시스템의 경제성 분석

Up until recently, the energy and the economic analysis of a cogeneration system have been implemented by a manual calculation that is based on monthly thermal loads of buildings. In this study, a cogeneration system modeling validation with a detail building energy simulation, eQUEST, for a building energy and cost prediction has been implemented. By analyzing the hourly building electricity and thermal loads, it enables users to decide proper cogeneration system capacity and to estimate more accurate building energy consumption. eQUEST also verified the energy analysis when the heat pump system is integrated with the cogeneration system. The mechanical system configuration benefits from the high efficiency heat pump system while avoiding the building electricity demand increase. Economic analysis such as LCC (Life Cycle Cost) method is carried out to verify economical benefits of the system by applying actual utility rates of KEPCO(Korea Electricity Power Company) and KOGAS(Korea GAS company).
열회수형 환기장치의 운전조거에 따른 경제성 평가에 관한 연구

Changes in building construction methods and repairing of older buildings have reduced infiltration rate. Synthetic materials, release airborne particles and uneven healthy odor are increased. For preventing pollutants introduce fresh outdoor air into the building, simply letting fresh outdoor air into building, however, is not a cost-effective way to ventilation. When additional ventilation is added to an existing HVAC system, the heating and cooling equipment, often cannot handle the increased load. A HRV provides a way to minimize in energy costs while introducing fresh air to a building. In this study, the economical research of HRV, made of three types of materials, are conducted. Heat recovering characteristics are studied at seasonal outdoor air conditions based on the outdoor air property condition at, Seoul in 2002. As a results, the average sensible effectiveness is 0.75 in the sensible heat exchanger and average total effectiveness is 0.65 in the total heat exchanger. The pay back period of the sensible heat exchangers are 3.2~3.5 year and it of total heat exchanger is 2.2 years.
