        산업화와 숲의 보호: 20세기 전환기 독일 숲의 세 얼굴

        The purpose of this article is to examine the collective identity reflected in German perceptions of forests around 1900, and to emphasize that interest in forests made them pioneers of the German environmental movement. Industrialization caused the destruction of German forests and consequently made Germans interested in forest protection. However, the motives were different for each class. If forests were important to landowners because of their economic value of increasing timber productivity, educated citizens' forests were a common asset with national identity. On the other hand, for the working class, forests played the role of teachers who consoled the reality of hard work and raised class consciousness. However, the efforts of Germans at the turn of the 20th century to protect forests, combined with such diverse motives, made them the first generation of the German environmental movement. 이 글의 목적은 1900년 무렵 독일인들의 숲 인식에 반영된 집단 정체성 을 검토하고, 숲에 대한 관심이 이들을 독일 환경운동의 선구자로 만들었다 는 점을 강조하는 데 있다. 산업화는 독일 숲의 훼손을 야기했으며, 결과적 으로 독일인들이 숲 보호에 관심을 갖도록 만들었다. 그러나 그 동기는 계 층 또는 계급별로 상이하게 나타났다. 지주들에게 숲이 목재 생산성 증대라 는 경제적 가치 때문에 중요했다면, 시민들의 숲은 민족 정체성을 담은 공 동의 자산이었다. 반면 노동계급에게 숲은 힘든 노동의 현실을 위로하고 계 급의식을 고양하는 교사의 역할을 했다. 그러나 이렇듯 다양한 동기가 어우러진 20세기 전환기 독일인들의 숲 보호를 위한 노력은 그들을 독일 환경 운동의 첫 세대로 만들었다.

        의료 인력의 확보가 환자 입원일수에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The objective of this study was to analyze the effects of medical staffing level as bed-to-medical staff ratio on patient outcomes as length of stay (LOS) among hospitals in Korea. Methods: Two hundred and fifty one hospitals participated in the study between January and March 2008. Data for the study was requested by an electronic data interchange from the Health Insurance Review Agency in 2008. In data analysis, SPSS WIN 15.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The mean score for length of stay was 13.6 days. The mean of operating bed-to-nurse ratio was 7.93:1. The predicting factors for LOS were bed-to-nurse's aide ratio, bed-to doctor's ratio, severely ill patient rate, and hospital type. These factors explained 28.9% of the variance in patient outcomes. Conclusion: This study results indicate that the relationship between medical staffing level and patient outcomes is important in the improvement of the quality of patient care. Thus, improvements in the quality of the nurse practice environment could improve patient outcomes for hospitalized patients

        Relationship of Nurse Practice Environment and Work-Family Conflict to Job Satisfaction in Hospital Nurses in Korea

        연구목적: 본 연구는 병원간호사에게 보다 편안하고 건강한 업무환경을 제공하는 것의 중요성을 병원관리행정가, 교육가, 간호관리자에게 알려주는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 수행하였다. 연구방법: 연구진행에 동의한 5개의 종합병원을 선정하여 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 2010년 7월에 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과: 직무만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 간호실무환경으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음은 업무-가족 갈등으로 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 설명변수는 직무만족도를 39% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과 간호실무환경과 업무-가족 갈등이 간호조직에서의 성과인 직무만족도에 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 따라서 업무환경을 더 매력적으로 만들고, 업무-가족 갈등을 감소시키는 전략은 경력간호사의 보유와 질적 간호를 향상시키는데 도움이 될 것이다.

        특수교사의 자기 효능감과 공감능력 및 가족지원 필요성의 구조 관계

        This study was conducted as a survey study to investigate the structural relationship between special education teachers' self-efficacy, empathy ability, and the need for family support. Data were collected from 270 special education teachers nationwide. The results of this study were as follows. First, the self-efficacy of special education teachers was affected by the variables of career, work school type, and final academic background. The empathy ability of special education teachers did not show any difference in the variables. In addition, the difference in the perception of special education teachers about the need for family support was explained by the variable of the type of school. However, the need for family support for special education teachers was divided into perceptions and changes in needs according to the grade or age of growth of students with disabilities. Second, the self-efficacy of special education teachers was a structure that affects empathy. Also, the self-efficacy of special education teachers was a structure that affects the need for family support. However, the self-efficacy of special education teachers mediates empathy, so it was not possible to secure the explanatory power of the path for the need for family support. 이 연구는 특수교사의 자기 효능감과 공감능력 및 가족지원 필요성의 구조관계를 알아보기 위하여 조사연구로 수행되었다. 전국의 특수교사 270명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수교사의 자기 효능감은 교직경력, 근무학교 환경, 최종 학력 등과 같은 외적 요인에 영향을 받는 발달구조의 특성이 강한 반면, 공감능력은 고착화된 구조적 특성을 보인다. 그러나 특수교사의 가족지원 필요성은 장애학생의 학년 또는 성장 연령에 따라서 인식 및 요구변화를 구분하고 있다. 둘째, 특수교사의 자기 효능감은 공감능력에 영향을 미치는 구조이다. 또한 특수교사의 자기 효능감은 가족지원 필요성에 영향을 미치는 구조이다. 그러나 특수교사의 자기 효능감이 공감능력을 매개하여 가족지원 필요성에 대한 경로의 설명력은 확보하지 못한다. 따라서 특수교사의 가족지원 필요성은 자기 효능감에 의해 결정되는 구조임을 이 연구에서는 제안하고 있다.

        다수준 분석을 이용한 임상간호사의 조직시민행동과 관련된 요인탐색

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to nurses’ organizational citizenship behavior using multilevel analysis which included both nurse characteristics at individual levels and nursing unit characteristics at group levels. Methods: The sample was composed of 1,996 nurses who were selected from 182 nursing units in 28 hospitals in six metropolitan cities and seven provinces using cluster sampling. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires from February to March 2006. Results: The results of the study indicated that individual level variables related to organizational citizenship behavior were religion, job position, clinical career, self efficacy, positive affectivity, and supervisor support. The group level variables related to organizational citizenship behavior were collective efficacy, number of nurses in a nursing unit, and the average salary level of a nursing unit. 30.9% of individual level variances of organizational citizenship behavior were explained by the nurses’ individual level variables. The explanatory power of group level variables, which is related to group level variances of organizational citizenship behavior, was 75.5%. Conclusion: This research showed that it was necessary to develop appropriate strategies related to not only individual factors, but also higher-level organizational factors such as collective efficacy, to improve individual performances in the hospital.

        자연에서 민족으로:라인 신화의 탄생과 성장

        This paper explores the birth and the growth of the well-known national myth in 19th century Germany: the myth of the Rhine. It helps us to understand how nature has been used to build the national identity and how the invention of nation has affected the shaping of the national nature. From the early 19th century, the Rhine was found by the German Romantics as an ideal terrain in which to envision the sublime and the medieval revival. After the victory of Wars of Liberation in 1813, German nationalist intellectuals such as Ernst Moritz Arndt, author of Germany’s river, but not Germany’s Border, politicized the Romantic Rhine by re-imagining it as the fountain of German nationhood. This process was paralleled with the canalization of the Rhine, which was in itself a sign of the taming of nature of the modern nation-state. During the Rhine crisis of 1840, in which France renewed its claims to the Rhine river as their ‘natural border’, German nationalists struggled against their ‘hereditary enemy’ by composing patriotic Rhine-songs and by constructing national monuments such as Cologne cathedral. In this process, the Rhine was more and more identified with Germania, the goddess-like national symbol of Germany. The myth of the Rhine still remains at the heart of many people in Germany, even if it has lost its pre-war influence after 1945.

        간호대학생의 공감역량, 감정성향, 실습지에서 지각한 약자괴롭힘이 전공적응에 미치는 영향

        This study assessed the relationship between nursing students’ compassionate competence, affectivity, bullying and the major adaptation. Using cross-sectional data, characteristics of nursing students were analyzed with independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlations, and multiple regression models. Survey data were collected from 245 nursing students at two university in South Korea. Statistically significant positive correlations were found among compassionate competence, positive affectivity, and the major adaptation. Statistically significant negative correlations were found among negative affectivity and the major adaptation. Multiple regression results found that 63.2% of the variation in the major adaptation was explained by negative affectivity (β=-.395, p<.001), major satisfaction (β=.317, p<.001), positive affectivity (β=.205, p<.001), academic achievement (β=.176, p<.0018), and compassionate competence (β=.128, p=.002). These findings indicate that there is a need to enhance the major adaptation for nursing students, it is necessary to develop and utilize a program that enhancing positive affectivity, compassionate competence and reducing negative affectivity. 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 공감역량, 감정성향, 약자괴롭힘과 전공적응간의 관계를 파악하고 이러한 변수들이 전공적응을 예측하는 지 여부를 파악하기 위해 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 경기도와 전라북도에 위치한 두 대학의 간호학과 3-4학년 245명을 대상으로 2016년 11월 30일부터 12월 30일까지 1달 동안 대상자의 공감역량, 감정성향, 실습지에서 지각한 약자괴롭힘 및 전공적응에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 분석방법으로는 전공적응에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하기 위해 독립 t-검정(independent t-test), 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA), 단계적 회귀분석(stepwise multiple regression analysis)을 이용하였다. 회귀분석 결과 부정적 감정성향, 전공만족도, 긍정적 감정성향, 학교 성적, 공감역량 순으로 전공적응에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이들 변인들은 전공적응을 약 63.2% 설명하고 있었다. 간호대학생이 실습지에서 지각한 약자괴롭힘은 전공적응에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 이는 추후 반복 연구를 통한 확인이 필요하다고 본다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 간호대학생의 전공적응력을 높이기 위해서는 부정적 감정성향은 줄이고 전공만족도를 높이며 긍정적 감정성향과 공감역량 향상을 위한 다양한 전략과 간호교육프로그램 개발의 운영을 제언한다.

        의료기관 이용자가 지각한 전환비용, 부정적 구전이 재이용의도에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of patient perception of the switching cost and negative word of mouth on revisit intention of patients in out-patient departments (OPDs) of general hospitals. Method: The participants were 306 patients in general hospital, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation coefficient, and logistic regression with SPSS Win. Results: Relational switching cost was positively correlated with revisit intention (r=.58, p=<.001), but not financial switching cost or procedural switching cost. Negative word of mouth was negatively correlated with revisit intention (r=-.22, p=<.001). The significant predictors influencing revisit intention in patients was relational switching cost. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that hospital and nursing managers should seek to bolster perceptions of switching costs and negative word of mouth, which subsequently increases revisit intentions in small hospitals located in the country as well as urban large hospitals.
