Noise Characteristics of Molecular Oscillations in Simple Genetic Oscillatory Systems

We study the noise characteristics of stochastic oscillations in protein number dynamics of simple genetic oscillatory systems. Using the three-component negative feedback transcription regulatory system called the repressilator as a prototypical example, we quantify the degree of °uctuations in oscillation periods and amplitudes, as well as the noise propagation along the regulatory cascade in the stable oscillation regime via dynamic Monte Carlo simulations. For the single protein-species level, the °uctuation in the oscillation amplitudes is found to be larger than that of the oscillation periods, the distributions of which are reasonably described by the Weibull distribution and the Gaussian tail, respectively. Correlations between successive periods and between successive amplitudes, respectively, are measured to assess the noise propagation properties, which are found to decay faster for the amplitude than for the period. The local °uctuation property is also studied.

스마트TV의 사용자 경험 향상을 위한 스마트폰 기반의 사용자 인터페이스 개발 방법론

TV의 미래로 주목받고 있는 스마트TV의 주요 콘텐츠로서 스마트폰과 같이 앱 (App)을 주목하고 있지만 많은 전문가들이 스마트TV용 앱의 중요한 성공 조건으로 현재 TV가 갖고 있는 사용자 인터페이스의 한계 극복을 언급하고 있다. 일반적인 버튼 위주의 TV 리모컨으로는, 스마트TV용 앱에 풍부한 사용자 경험을 제공하기 힘들며 특히 게임과 같은 역동적인 앱을 운영하기에 상당한 어려움이 있다. 이런 문제를 극복하기 위해서 산업계와 학계에서 다양한 TV 사용자 인터페이스 방법을 제시하고 있으나 소비자 입장에서 비용 상승 문제를 유발하고, 스마트TV용 앱 개발자 입장에서 사용자 인터페이스의 표현 범위와 개발의 편리성 측면에서 부족함이 있다. 이 에, 본 논문은 스마트폰을 활용하여 스마트TV용 앱의 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하는 스마트TV용 앱 개발 방법론 및 개발 지원 환경인 sMartUX를 소개한다. sMartUX는 스마트폰을 활용함으로써 추가적인 비용 상승을 요구하지 않으며 앱 개발자가 스마트폰에서 실행할 사용자 인터페이스 설계할 때 다양한 스마트폰 사양을 고려할 필요가 없게 지원한다. 또한, 스마트폰의 앱 유통 시스템을 거치지 않고 사용자 인터페이스를 스마트폰에 탑재 시키는 메커니즘을 제공하여 개발자와 소비자 편의를 지원한다. One of the major requisites for the success of the smart-TV is to create a circumstance where smart-TV app's are produced and purchased on a large scale. However, the smart-TV app's may succeed only under the condition that the user interface of the smart-TV is greatly evolved from the typical TV remote controller. Several equipments have been devised to tackle the problem of the poor user interface of the smart-TV; however, they are not satisfactory in the aspects that they usually increase the costs of TV-set and they do not help practically the app developers. The equipments are pre-formed so that it is hard for the app developers to design their own user interface using them. In the paper, sMartUX, a method for developing the smart-TV app is introduced. sMartUX provides a new paradigm and development environment for designing, implementing, and operating the user interface of the smart-TV app using a smart-phone. With sMartUX, app developers can design their own user interface using the various facilities of a smart-phone, and they need not to care the details of various smart-phones and how to launch their user interface onto a smart-phone.

방송프로그램 내용과 연동된 검색 키워드를 활용하는 MHP 기반의 검색 데이터 서비스

디지털방송의 데이터 서비스는 방송·통신 융합 서비스의 총아로 초기에 관련 산업계의 새로운 수익모델 창출의 기대 를 받아왔지만 현재까지 대중적 인지도를 높일 킬러 서비스의 부재로 그 기대에 부응하지 못하고 있다. 검색 엔진들이 발전함에 따라 현대인들의 지적 호기심을 충족시키는 가장 일반화된 활동으로 자리매김을 하고 있는 인터넷 검색 활동 은 방송프로그램 시청 중에도 활발히 발생한다는 점을 고려할 때 시청자들 사이에 대중적인 데이터 서비스로 발전할 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 시청자들의 시청 행태에 적합한 데이터 서비스의 조건을 만족하고 방송프로그램의 내용 을 기반으로 검색 활동을 수행할 수 있는 MHP 기반의 검색 데이터 서비스를 제안한다. 본 검색 데이터 서비스는 검색 키워드 생성 단계와 검색 수행 단계를 나눔으로써 시청자들의 방송프로그램 시청을 최대한 저해하지 않도록 기획되었 으며 방송프로그램의 시간구간 별 내용을 기반으로 검색 키워드들을 생성하도록 하여 방송프로그램과의 연동성을 최대 화 하였다.

시청자의 TV 이용 행태를 고려한 디지털 TV 데이터 서비스의 기획 가이드라인과 이를 적용한 데이터 서비스 프로토타입

디지털 기술의 발달로 TV, PC, 스마트폰, 그리고 패드(Pad)류 컴퓨터 등의 기기들이 인터넷으로 상호 연결되는 추세 에 맞추어 인터넷 서비스들이 특정 기기에 한정되지 않고 다양한 기기를 대상으로 구현되는 "N-스크린화" 양상을 보이 고 있다. 디지털 TV는 거실 엔터테인먼트의 핵심 플랫폼이면서 다양한 사용자층이 이용하기 때문에 기존 인터넷 서비 스 업체들이 자사의 서비스를 디지털 TV의 데이터 서비스로 구현하여 서비스 브랜드의 제고와 서비스 고객의 층을 확 대를 꾀하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 데이터 서비스들이 소비자의 흥미를 두고 방송 영상 콘텐츠와 경쟁하는 구도를 취 하고 있어서 성공적인 효과를 거두지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 방송 영상 콘텐츠의 시청이 시청자의 주된 TV 이용 행태 라는 점을 고려한 디지털 TV의 데이터 서비스 설계 가이드라인을 제안하고 이 가이드라인이 적용된 "TV 이상형 월드 컵"이란 데이터 서비스의 프로토타입을 소개한다. TV 이상형 월드컵은 방송 영상과 경쟁하는 구도를 벗어나기 위해 서 비스 수행 시 방송 영상 시청이 가능하며 서비스가 유지되면서 채널 변경이 가능하고 수 분 안에 서비스의 목적이 달성 되는 서비스 동선을 갖추고 있다.

A Study on the EPL using Instructional Model of SW Major's Programming Class

4차 산업혁명시대에서 그 중요성이 날로 증대하고 있는 소프트웨어의 핵심 교육 영역인 프로그래밍 언어는 논리적 사고 능력을 요구하고 있어 SW전공 학생들에게도 어려운 과목으로 인식되고 있다. 이런 어려움으로 인해 SW전공 학생이 프로그래밍 언어 입문 수업 도중 전공에 대한 흥미와 자신감을 잃고 전공을 변경하거나 학업 자체를 포기하는 상황이 발생하기도 한다. 본 연구는 SW전공자의 프로그래밍 입문 수업에 일반적으로 사용되는 C 언어 교육에 스크래치를 활용하는 수업 모형을 설계하였다. 이를 위해, C언어가 지원하는 프로그래밍 개념들 중 스크래치로 교육 가능한 개념들을 명확히 파악하고 그 개념들의 이해와 활용 능력을 배양하기 위한 스크래치 실습 예제들을 개발하였다. 본 수업 모형은 프로그래밍 개념들에 대해서 먼저 스크래치의 구현 방식 교육과 예제들을 통해 명확하게 이해하고 C언어로 교육 내용을 확장하는 절차를 지원하며 모 지방 사립대의 SW전공 신입생들을 대상으로 효과를 실험하였다. Although programming language is a core education area of software that is becoming increasingly important in the age of the fourth industrial revolution, as it requires logical thinking skills, it is recognized as a difficult subject even for SW major students. This difficulty occasionally causes SW major students to lose interest and confidence in their major during the introductory course of a programming language; making them change their majors, or give up their studies. In this study, we designed an instructional model using Scratch for educating C language which is a typical programming introductory language. To do this, we analyzed the concepts that can be trained by Scratch among the programming concepts supported by C language, and developed the examples of Scratch for exercising the concepts. The instructional model supports the progress model of learning first the programming concepts through Scratch and then expand the learning content into C language. We also conducted an experiment on the SW major freshman students of a local private university to verify the effectiveness of the model.

A Study on the Effectiveness of PBL-based Programming Education for non-SW Major

In order to cope with the fourth industrial revolution era, in which SW plays an important role in all industries, the SW educations such as computational thinking and programming skill are being expanded to non-SW majors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the problem-based learning (PBL) on the computational thinking and academic achievement. To accomplish this, we divided a programming class of non-SW major into the PBL-based programming curriculum applied class and non-applied class. At the end of the classes, we analyzed the results of the exams and the questionnaire survey on the learning effectiveness and the computational thinking. As a result, the students in the PBL-applied class showed significantly higher scores in algorithm implementation ability, self-directed learning, problem solving ability, and continuous learning motivation. The educational effects are significant in the fourth industrial revolution era, where voluntary SW learning is continuously required.

剪斷補强이 없는 高强度 鐵筋콘크리트보의 剪斷龜裂 强度에 關한 硏究

Four series of reinforced concrete beam without shear reinforcement were tested to determine their shear cracking strength. As the concrete strength varied from 247㎏/㎠ to 708㎏/㎠ (3500 to 10000psi) within each series, the shear span to depth ratio varied from 2 to 5 based on the same concrete strength. All the beams have the same cross section with 2.09% longitudinal steel ratio p which were loaded symmetrically from the midspan under displacement control. At each load stage, beam deflection was measured and the developing crack pattern was marked on the beam surface. From the test results, a new equation is presented to more accurately predict shear cracking strength over the entire range of concrete strength.

복수의 영화정보 프로그램의 부가정보를 제공하기 위한 MMIP 데이터서비스에 관한 연구

영화정보 프로그램은 신뢰를 바탕으로 영화의 간접적 경험을 제공함으로써 시청자의 영화관람 의사에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 이와 같은 영화정보 프로그램의 효용성을 극대화하기 위해 영화정보 프로그램에 소개되는 영화의 부가정보를 제공하는 데이터서비스가 연구되었는데, 데이터서비스가 하나의 영화정보 프로그램에 한정되는 한계로 인해 여러 개의 영화정보 프로그램을 송출하는 종합유선방송사나 위성방송사의 현실적 환경에 적용하기에 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 하나의 영화정보 프로그램에 한정된 기존 연구를 여러 개의 영화정보 프로그램의 부가정보를 제공할 수 있도록 확장하였다. 구체적으로, 방송사가 송출하는 여러 영화정보 프로그램들의 개수와 섹션 구성 정보, 섹션별 부가정보를 정의하고, 이 정보를 영화정보 프로그램들의 방송 시간대가 서로 다르다는 성질을 반영하여 증대된 데이터를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 DVB-SI 기반 부가정보 전송 방법을 설계하였다. 본 연구는, 현실적으로 여러 개의 영화정보 프로그램을 송출하는 방송사 환경에서 운영될 수 있는 데이터서비스의 가능성을 제시한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

최근의 전자기기는 반도체 기술의 급속한 발전에 따라 소형화, 고기능화 및 다양화 뿐만 아니라 경박단소화되는 추세에 있다. 이러한 시장의 요구에 대응하여 표면실장용 전자부품이 등장하여 그 사용이 점차증가하고 있고 여기에 발맞춰 국내 . 외 전자기기 제조업체가 제품내의 PCB를 SMD화하는 추세에 있다. 따라서 표면실장 부품의 조립을 위한 고밀도, 고정도의 실장기술의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 또한 부품 자동삽입 등 기존의 방법들로 조립된, 전자기기 내부에 사용 되는 PCB의 조립상태 및 각 부품의 특성들을 검사하기 위한 In-circuit Tester의 기술도 빠른 속도로 발전하여 자동화되어가고 있는 추세에 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구소에서는 '90년에 능 Mounter GCA-M2000 모델을 개발 완료하였고 현재 관련 사업부에서 양산중에 있으며, 아날로그 방식 및 디지털 방식의 In-circuit Tester 모델도 개발 완료하여 현재 양산 중에 있다. 이 지면을 빌어 소개할 기회를 갖고자 한다.
