        This study was carried out to investigate the seasonal and regional occurrence of the major pests on the oyster mushroom houses. The survey were performed in oyster mushroom houses located at 16 places, randomly selected throughout South Korea from July to August and October to Novbember in 1997. The six specie flies were found including Sciaridae, Cecidomyiidae and Scatopsidae flies. The occurred pattern of the flies were dissimilar in relative abundance depending on the survey time and regions. Of these, Lycoriella sp. (Diptera : Sciaridae) that occurred year around at the regions surveyed was the most serious and abundant pest. In this study, Coboldia sp. (Diptera : Scatopsidae), Its larvae feed on the mycelium, which occurred amount usually from July to August was also confirmed as a mushroom pest. The paedogenetic Mycophila sp. (Diptera Cecidomyiidae), its larvae caused severe damage on the mushrooms, was found abundant on the oyster mushroom bed from October to Novbember. While, other pests like nematodes, Achorutes amatus, Philomycus spp. and Scaphidium amurense were also observed on oyster mushroom bed.

        Breeding of a New Silkworm Variety, Kumhwangjam, with a Sex-Limited Cocoon Color for Spring Rearing Season

        A new silkworm variety, Kumhwangjam, with a sexlimited cocoon color for spring rearing season is F1 hybrid between Jam 309, a Japanese race bred from Y1/9153, and Jam 310, a Chinese race from Y1/8586. In the local adaptability test performed at 8 local areas in spring rearing season of 2003, major characteristics of Kumhwangjam were mainly similar to those of the check variety Kumokjam. The new silkworm variety, Kumhwangjam, showed a sex-limited cocoon color: yellow for female and white for male with elliptical cocoon shape. This sex-limited cocoon color can be used as a valuable marker for discrimination between female and male for various purposes.

        A new silkworm variety Golden silk for spring rearing season is $F_1$ hybrid between Jam311, a Japanese race bred from introduction breeding and Jam312, a Chinese race from introduction breeding. In the local adaptability test performed at 8 local areas in spring of 2006, "Golden silk" was showed 7 percent higher in hatchability than authorized silk-worm races laval. "Golden silk" was receded higher 1.7 percent, 2.2 percent in pupation rate, best cocoon rate respectively than Chunsujam. The larval period shortened for 1.12 day even though low record to the several items including productivity than Chunsujam. "Golden silk" was showed 1,031 m, 2.97 denier in length of cocoon filament, weight of cocoon filament respectively. The concentration of Deoxynojirimycin(DNJ) was measured 4.34 mg in "Golden silk", high then to "Chunsujam"(3.81 mg). In the Paecilomyces tenuipes production ability test, the pupal weight of "Golden silk" was 1.20g. 다수성 품종으로 육성된 골든실크는 새로운 봄누에 특수용도 품종으로서 육성경위와 주요특성을 하면 다음과 같다. 1. 일본종계 원종 잠311은(견색적$\times$흑아)$\times$잠125 교잡 육성한 무늬 품종으로 황색고치를 짓고, 중국종계 원종 잠312는 잠304$\times$괴축과 교잡 육성한 무늬 없는 누에품종으로 황색고치를 짓는 품종이다. 2. 2006년 춘잠기 지역적응시험 결과는 골든실크의 주요특성은 - 실용 부화비율은 97%, 화용비율 및 상견비율은 대조품종보다 우수하였다. 수량성 등 다른 조사항목에서는 대조보다 좋지 못하였으나, 전령기간은 1일 12시간이 짧아 사육노동력을 줄일 수 있는 이점이 있다. - 견사장은 1,031m였고, 견사섬도는 2.97 데니어 이었다. - DNJ 함량은 대조 춘수잠 3.81 mg보다 14% 높은 4.34mg으로 우수 하였고, 동충하초 생산력 검정에서는 동충하초 생체중이 1개당 대조 1.41g보다 낮은 1.20g이였다. 3. 잠종생산능력에 있어서는 일본종계 원종 잠311의 나방당 산란수는 604개로 대조보다 많았고, 최청에서 발아까지의 일수는 54일 이었다. 중국종계 원종 잠312의 산란수는 493개로 일반장려품종의 원종과 산란성이 비슷하였고, 최청에서 발아까지의 일수는 52일이었다.

        누에나방(Bombyx mori)성충의 생존시수에 따른 지방체 세포의 미세구조 변화

        본 연구는 서로 다른 수명 패턴을 갖고 있는 누에성충 중 두가지 타입을 이용하여 수행되었다. 장명품종(성충 수명이 15일 이상; LLS), 단명 품종(성충 수명이 5일 미만;SLS). 누에성충의 노화 생리를 밝히기 위해 장단명 암수에 있어서의 지방체 미세구조를 비교해 보았다. 단명품종에 있어서는, 암컷에는 조면소포체 및 글리코겐 과립이 세포질내에서 다량 확인된 반면, 수컷에는 활면소포체만이 세포질내에서 발견되었다. 또한 단명품종에 있어서는, 성충 3일째 이후 미토콘드리아의 용적이 비대해지는 경향을 보였으며, 많은 지방구 퇴화가 관찰되었다. 단명품종에 반해 장명품종에서는, 성충 5일째의 암컷은 비교적 정상적인 미토콘드리아와 핵막이 관찰되었다. 성충 15일째에 이르러서야 대부분의 세포막이 사라졌고 미토콘드리아가 비정상적으로 비대해졌다. 장명품종 수컷(성충 10일째)의 세포질내에서 다량의 지방과립이 관찰되었으며, 이 개체는 성충 15일째에 세포내용물이 모두 고갈되어 사망하였다. 따라서, 금후 수명에 관한 조직 연구를 위해서는 조직의 변화상을 관찰하기 용이한 단명품종이 적절할 것으로 사료된다. This study was carried out with two types of silkworm, Bombyx mori, adults having different life span: long life span (adult living for more than fifteen days; LLS), and short life span (adult living less for than five days; SLS). The fine structures of fat body cells in the young and the senescent males and females were compared in an attempt to elucidate the aging physiology of the silkworm adult. In SLS, there were many rough endoplasmic reticula (RER) and glycogen granules in the female cytoplasm, whereas the smooth endoplasmic reticula (SER) were observed in the male cytoplasm. Also in SLS, the mitochondria were swollen and had many poor osmiophillic inclusions (fatty degeneration) at three days after emergence. In LLS, compared to SLS, comparatively normal mitochondria and nuclear membrane were observed in even five day old female. In fifteen day old LLS female, however most of cell membranes were disappeared and mitochondria were abnormally expanded. Many fat granules were observed in the cytoplasm of ten day old male (LLS) which died with full autophagic vacuole (AV) collapsed at fifteen days. Therefore, it is suggested that SLS type is recommended for the study of aging tissue, because it is easier to monitor the changes in tissue structure.

      • 야외 청소년 육성프로그램의 참여효과에 관한 연구

        Youth participant groups from two different programs -a Family Camp(FC. nature oriented site) and a Grand Youth Celebration Program(GYC. urban oriented site)- were selected and tested before and after joining the program with questionnaire(including P.O.I. : Personal Orientation Inventory) to evaluate the effect of outdoor youth upbringing program onto promotion of participants' environmental & socio-psychological perceptibility and self-actualization. It was found that two each program promotes participants' perceptibility to almost same level. But in case of FC Program, most effects work on pre-participation stage, in contrast to GYC Program on actual participation stage. The effects of two programs promoting self-actualization were as follows. 1. among P.O.I. items, significant effect was found in 'Feeling Reactivity', 'Self-Regard' from FC Program, and 'Intention', 'Self-Actualization', 'Self-Regard' from GYC Program. 2. the GYC Program did more effect than the FC Program did on the items of 'Intention' and 'Self-Actualization'.

      • 春·秋 兼用 兩親 限性班紋品種 "兩元蠶" 育成

        A new silkworm variety "Yangwonjam" for both of spring and autumn rearing season is F1 hybrid between Jam143, a Japanese race bred from H5R1/P8550 and Jam144. a Chinese race from M8312/8190. This is the first both parent sex-limited larval marking variety in Korea, and which contricutes to eggs production of F1 hybrid silkworm with saving labot. Jam,143, Japanese parent of the "yangwonjam" showed high GCa in pupation percentage and Jam144. Chinses parent showed high GCA in pupation percentage and single cocoon weight. In the local adaptability test performed at 8 local areas in spring of 1998, Yangwonjam records 1% higher in pupation percentage and 5%, 4% lower in single cocoon weight, cocoon yield from 10,000 3rd molted larvae respectively than the check varety Kumokjam. Also I the resistance test against unfavorable rearing condition performed in spring of 1997. Yangwonjam records 9%, 14% tower in single cocoon weight. cocoon shell weight respectively than the check variety, but showed 1% higher in pupation percentage than check variety.
