Many organizations experience that the performance they gained from IT investment is lower than they expected values. As with any investment, executives are concerned with maximizing the performance from their investment in IT. This study focused on the relationship between IT strategy and IT investment to maximize IT performance. A field survey of chief information officer of Korea manufacturing sector was conducted. Complete data for 147 firms was analyzed to determine relationship of the three research constructs. The study shows a positive relationship between IT strategic orientation, IT investment direction, and performance of IT. The research results provide empirical evidence that supports the research hypothesis that closer fit between IT strategies and IT investment directions does lead to increase operational and competitive performance of IT.

The strategic alignment between internet marketing's strategic orientation and EC system's strategic orientation is an important concept in Electronic Commerce. This study measured internet marketing's strategic orientation, EC system's strategic orientation, strategic alignment, and strategic EC performance based on previous studies. Analysis of data gathered in mail survey of korea firms in KOSPI and KOSDAQ. The findings suggest that companies with high strategic alignment are better performing EC strategically, and internet marketing and EC system's strategic orientation are positive related to strategic alignment and performance of EC. This study supports that the level of the EC executive's participation in internet marketing planning influences strategic alignment of the EC plan with the internet marketing plan. Further, high levels of that alignment are associated with increased use of EC for strategic performance.

The valence of WOM information and the human personality has been used in marketing and psychology research to predict attitudes, cognitions, and behaviors, but has been more ignored in MIS research. In this study, we have investigated the influence of WOM information valence and users' personality by using these two factors in the context of technology acceptance. Three different WOM valence those are positive information, negative information, and mixed information were presented to university students who have two kinds of personality (inactivity vs. activity). We have got some results. First, the valence of WOM information influences on perceived usefulness and perceived trust about WOM information. Second, the interaction effects between WOM information valence and users' personality on the context of technology acceptance are not significant, even though we also found that the characteristics of users' personality should influence on users' perceptions by comparing means instinctively.

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the influence of quantity and quality of review on WOM acceptance and WOM intention. On-line consumers' reviews are important in making purchase decisions and for product sales. The persuasive impact of reviews depends on the quality and quantity of reviews. This study is focusing on the moderating effects of level of knowledge and involvement these relationships. Also, this study is to analyze the difference of WOM acceptance and WOM intention by extraversion and collectivism of consumers' personality. The major findings of this study are summarize as follows. First, the quantity and quality of reviews have a positive effect on WOM acceptance. Second, WOM acceptance has a positive effect on WOM intention. Third, the level of involvement has moderating effect between the quantity(quality) of review and WOM acceptance. Finally, high extraversion and collectivism groups showed a significant difference in WOM intention rather than WOM acceptance.

The purpose of this study is development of information system using an analysis of business process. To achieve the purpose the procedural documents for the linkage between business process and system models are developed: 1) The system context diagram contains brief descriptions of all actors and use cases. 2) The use-case description should contain the information such as a list of associations to actor, a list of associations to other use cases and a detailed description of the use case's basic and prossible alternative courses of events. 3) The event flow description explains when and how the business operates. 4) An object relationship diagram shows relationships of all objects. 5) An object description contains logiclal attributes, operations and properties of all objects. 6) The interaction diagram explains how the various objects in the process collaborate to execute a certain flow of events and how a use case is realized by communicating objects. 7) The system's role description explains functionality of processes to be applying system. 8) The system IPO chart divide system s roles into detailed inputs. processes and outputs to design information system. However, eight documents are not sufficient to develop information system. The weak points in the suggested documents must be revised to achieve compliteness

Most information management questions asked in any organization today can be classified as problems of planning, organization and control. The concerns are, simultaneously, how can IT produce strategic advantage and what frameworks or principles are available to guide practitioners in exploiting IT for strategic advantage? The three levels of strategy are introduced in this paper. The IS strategy is concerned primarily with aligning IS development with business needs and with seeking strategic advantage from IT. The IT strategy is concerned primarily with technology policies. The IM strategy is concerned with the role and structure of IT activities in the organization. The principles discussed in this paper seek to address these problems as follows: 1. Top-down clarification methods are vital in the context of inadequate business plans. 2. Portfolio planning helps in agreeing priorities. 3. Planning to plan in stages helps overcome lack of planning experience. 4. Keeping detail out of IS strategy plans, reviewing them periodically, and interlocking them with business planning processes helps cope with business/user change. 5. Making division or business units responsible for IS strategy formulation and separating IT strategy and IM strategy from IS strategy remove much of the confusion and confliction in complex organization structures. 6. Investing in inside out processes for innovation is key to discovering competitive advantage opportunities. In many ways, strategic ISs are different from IS strategy, which is why a multiple methodology is required.
