Vol.22 No.5
Group signature schemes were made for serving anonymities of signers, but the group signature schemes have been seldomly adapted to the real-world applications because of their low computation and space (i.e. signature length) efficiency, complicated construction, limited user management, and so on. Kang, Hwang, etc. performed the study about the local linkability that is for helping group signature schemes to be adapted more easily to the real world. In this paper, we investigate the nature of local linkability, which did not deal with well in the previous studies, in detail and perform the formal proof for the security of special entities who hold the local linkability.
Vol.22 No.5
Open and Judge in group signature schemes can be brought into the management of misbehaving users. Unfortunately, when Open and Judge of a certain group signature are used into another group signature that adopts the same linear encryption, they are not suitable for processing exceptions due to well-behaved users. In this paper, for all group signatures based on the linear encryption, we propose and discuss new Open and Judge that are suitable for processing exceptions due to well-behaved users.
Catalase-immobilized Syringe as an Oxygen-generating Platform to Create Oxygen-delivering Hydrogels
Vol.2019 No.1
The emerging trend in designing advanced hydrogels is to create bioactive matrix stimulating the native extracellular matrix by physicochemical and biological stimuli. Among these factors, hyperoxia (over 21% pO2) have been demonstrated to facilitate wound healing. While various oxygen (O2)-delivering materials have been developed using peroxide materials, it still challenging to overcome the cytotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide generated during O2 generation. Herein, we propose a catalase-immobilized syringe (Oxyringe) as a new type of O2-generating platform to create O2-releasing hydrogels. The hydrogels prepared by Oxyringes release hyperoxic O2 up to 47.9% pO2 in vivo. Interestingly, O2-releasing hydrogels facilitate the initial macrophage recruitment, cell proliferation, and neovascularization in vivo. In sum, our Oxyringe has great potential as advanced O2-supplying tools for tissue regenerative medicine and other applications.

The emerging trend in designing advanced hydrogels is to create bioactive hydrogels inducing in situ tissue regeneration via host tissue stimulation by biophysicochemical cues of hydrogels. Among them, hyperoxia (over 21% pO₂) has been demonstrated as a crucial signaling parameter in wound healing and tissue regeneration. While various peroxides with catalase have been widely used as oxygen (O₂)-generating agents, they still have some limitations, such as excessive oxidative stress and cellular signaling suppression. Herein, we present a catalase-immobilized syringe (Oxyringe) as a new type of O₂-supplying system. We fabricate oxygenated hydrogels using Oxyringe, releasing O₂ up to hyperoxic levels (47.9% pO₂) in vivo. Interestingly, our hydrogels expedite wound healing and tissue regeneration, including hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling phases in vivo. In sum, Oxyringe has excellent potential as an advanced O₂-supplying system for in situ tissue regeneration.
