Recently, economic downturn and the era of ultra-high oil prices caused by the global pandemic, demand for the installation of wood boilers in home or rural houses is increasing as a means of reducing heating costs in winter. In general, wood boilers, which have been used a lot in factories and warehouses, not only reduce the burden of heating costs, which account for a large part of household spending in winter, but also are simple and economical, so the demand is gradually increasing. However, due to the nature of the fuel, it is difficult to control the fire power, and there is no accurate installation manual, so there is a high possibility of fire, such as overheating of the stovepipe and splashing on nearby combustibles. In addition, there are many problems that were not initially expected during the manufacture and installation of the wood boiler due to legal defects. This study aims to analyze fire hazards according to communication structure, material, and boiler room construction materials by conducting fire re-experiments based on fire cases by wood boilers, and provide basic data for safe installation and use of fire boilers.
아파트 단지 경로당의 운영실태와 요구도 분석을 통한 계획 방향 연구

The purpose of this study is to suggest useful resources concerning the plan to prepare for population aging in the future through investigating architectural characters of the 'Kyungrodang' and its operating systems located near the apartment complex and needs of the 'Kyungrodang'. For this purpose, the study includes field research, interviews, a questionnaire, and a survey targeting each of two apartments located in the Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. A survey targeting the elderly in their late 70 to 80 years 60 to 70 years was conducted and the differences regarding program needs of leisure activities for the elderly and revitalization of 'Kyungrodang' were analyzed. The results of the present study provide suggestions for improvement and solutions to the existing problems of standardized 'Kyungrodang'. Furthermore, the present results can be a basic resource for the elaboration of an appropriate management method and a spatial plan that would respond to the increased needs of facilities and programs for the elderly in the apartment complex. Finally, the results of the present study are expected to make a meaningful contribution to making 'Kyungrodang' the space where the elderly can obtain physical and mental support, as well as enjoy social activities, improve their health, and manage their everyday life.
공동주택의 생활관리 프로그램 개발 -미국 블랙스버그시의 공동주택 생활관리 실태와 평가를 중심으로-

The purpose of this study was to develop the community programs of multihousing in Korea through evaluating and analyzing the actual conditions of community in multihousing in U.S.A. This study was conducted by using a field survey and questionaire at the 2 multihousing complexes located in the City of Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A. The major findings were as follows: 1) There was a variety of community programs and facilities, such as a monthly newsletter which allowed information to be exchanged among all residents. The programs also provided news on events for the children, teenagers, college students, adults and seniors. These events were held at the club house or pond area. 2) The average degree of satisfaction of these programs and facilities was high. 3) Korea need to follow the example of the U.S.A by i) providing a monthly newsletter periodically to exchange information ii) offering a variety of community programs iii) providing programs regarding district bureau of public administration, kindergarten service, telecommunications office and holding service for package, registered mail, drycleaning, etc.

The objective of this research is to suggest a settlement plan for sustainable environment-friendly apartment complex, based on the post occupancy evaluation of the residents and manager from the S apartment complex in the metropolitan area, that has taken a environment-friendly certification. A summary of the result is as follows: 1)The satisfaction from the residents who knew that the apartment had taken environment-friendly certification at the time they moved in, was much higher than that from the residents who knew it after moving in. So public relations before the residents move in could be a short cut for environment-friendly plan, facilities, technology etc. to penetrate and settle into the resident's life. 2)The residents showed high satisfaction in the 'ecological environment' field and low satisfaction in 'accessability of transportation & neighbourhood facilities' and in 'floor impact noise'. 3)The residents were mostly participating in environment-friendly behavior and they answered that living in a certified apartment influences them to change their behavior or thought environment-friendly. 4)Through an interview with the chief manager, even though the water reusing system was installed, because of the cost of operating it and the concerns for outbreak of skin diseases among children, the system has never been used after example operation, and instead tap water was being used. Therefore we must take notice that the water reusing system was not being used as intended. This points out that conveying the clear definition of environment-friendly apartment to residents and common understanding must be achieved and public relations and education on environment-friendly facilities, technology and management should have priority.
공동주택의 관실태와 거주자의 관리의식 및 만족도 - 서울시 아파트를 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to support satisfaction for reasonable management method to elevate the enhancement of management attitude and the satisfaction of management state for Multi-family Housing. This study was intended to find out variables which influence on the satifaction and attitude of resident to the management of Apartment, and to investigate variables influencing on the satisfaction and attitude of resident to the management of Apartment. In this study, survey research method is employed. The sample is taken from 336 APT. resident's living in Seoul, from 13th of Sep. to 20th of Sep, in 1993. Used statistica] method are Frequency, Percentage, 1-test, One-way Anova, Duncan-test, Multip]e Regression. The major finding were as follows: 1) The work of management of Multi-family Housing was classified into three type ; a)administration management b) maintenance management c) community-life control. 2) The management attitude of Apartment inhabitant is very high, especially .the attitude of maintenance management is the higest. But they disagree with the raise of management cost necessary to maintenance management. 3) The satisfaction of administration management, maintenance management, community-life control management is all low in the management condition of Apartment.'1'he management method of present Apartment shows a little problem.
